Harry Potter’s Defense Professor

Chapter 5: Hanging out on campus

This day, Lockhart finished his class and suddenly wanted to visit Hagrid, the half-blooded giant who is also an important character in the plot. He loves magical creatures, so let's get to know him and get some writing materials by the way.

On the way, they met the Salvation Trio again. Hermione was furious and supported Ron with a sullen face, while Harry was worried.

"Hey boys, did you go to Hagrid's too, what happened. What happened to Ron?"

Ron didn't speak, he spat out a slug.

"Oh my god, who cursed Ron?"

"Malfoy, he said I'm a hemp seed," Hermione said suddenly aggrieved, "so Ron tried to fix him, but his wand was broken." Tears were about to fall as he spoke.

Lockhart thought to himself, you are indeed a hemp seed. What two Muggles give birth to is not a hemp seed. Of course, he can't tell.

"Oh dear little Hermione, the discrimination against non-pure-blood wizards by these pure-blood families can't be changed, but remember, wizards are not born in this world, **** is also a bastard, the ancestor of pure-blood families Muggles too, on the contrary, the best wizards are from Muggle families or half-bloods, like me, like You-Know-Who." Lockhart smiled proudly, "Remember, Granger, if you know all the world's Witchcraft, then pure blood is shit, if you insist on pure blood, the wizarding world will eventually disappear into history."

Hermione was very strong, not to mention that what Lockhart said was 70% true and 30% false, it was easy to convince her, and the tears stopped quickly.

"You're right, professor, it doesn't matter if you're pure blood or not, so can you tell me the details about the first wizard."

Halo, what a curious baby, "your history professor will tell you," Lockhart patted Hermione's shoulder, "let's go, let's go to Hagrid's house together."

Hagrid was surprised to see Ron like this, and hurriedly took out a bucket to pick up slugs for him.

"I'm sorry, I don't seem to be able to do anything. It seems that I have to wait for him to spit it all out." Hagrid said helplessly.

"I seem to have a solution, but it's not necessarily feasible," Lockhart said. "Using magic power to speed up the release of this curse, long pain is worse than short pain."

"The professor says it can be done!" Hermione blurted out, seemingly blindly trusting Lockhart.

"Okay, I'll try, Wild Volatile!" Lockhart took out his wand and pointed at Ron. As soon as the spell touched him, he immediately opened his eyes wide, then lowered his head and vomited wildly. It looks creepy.

After a while, Ron stopped vomiting, put down the basin, and slumped on the stool like an overindulgence.

"It seems to be a success. Professor Lockhart really lives up to his reputation." Hagrid couldn't help but praise him.

"It's nothing, I just like to read some weird books and learn some weird spells. You know, I survive in a dangerous environment, and the amount of knowledge that I graduated from Hogwarts is not enough." Lockhart said this Is it humility...

Hermione's eyes seemed to light up, and she ran over and grabbed Lockhart's arm to show her cuteness: "Professor, you must lend me this kind of book, the school's forbidden area is too strict."

"Uh, okay, you can come to my dormitory and borrow it if you like. It's always good for children of your age to read more books."

"Thank you, Professor! That's it."

Ron was fine, and Hagrid suddenly became interested: "Come with me and let you see what I planted."

On a small vegetable patch at the back of the house, they saw twelve very large pumpkins. Each is the size of a large rock.

"How about it, isn't it good looking?" Hagrid said happily. "It's going to be at a Halloween dinner party...it'll grow bigger by then."

"What fertilizer do you use?" Harry asked.

Hagrid looked around to make sure no one else was there before saying, "Oh, I've been giving them—you know—little help."

Lockhart saw a pink flower umbrella leaning against the back wall of the house, he knew it was no ordinary umbrella, and Hagrid's wand was hidden inside.

Hagrid couldn't use magic and was expelled when he was in third grade. The Salvation Trio didn't know why -- every time they talked about it, Hagrid would clear his throat loudly and move on to another topic.

"Is it a wildly long spell?" Hermione said with a little reproach and a little surprise. "Oh, you did a good job!"

"That's what Ron's sister said, too," Hagrid nodded to Ron. "I saw her yesterday." Hagrid turned his head to look at Harry. "She said to walk around here, but I guess she thought she might run into someone near my house..." He winked at Harry. "I said, she must like you..."

"Girls always like heroes." Lockhart added, "This is a normal physiological phenomenon, choose a better mate."

"Oh, stop talking," said Harry. Ron couldn't help but burst out laughing.

It's almost lunchtime, Lockhart wants to see Hagrid's amazing creature, and it's time for the students to eat.

"Let's go, you guys go to dinner, there are classes in the afternoon," Lockhart said. "Hagrid, take me to see your magical creatures, let's go."

Lockhart excitedly followed Hagrid to see more magical creatures, and the children had to go back to school. As soon as they arrived at the entrance of the hall, someone stopped Harry and Ron.

"You are here, Potter, Weasley." Professor McGonagall walked towards them with a serious expression. "You are scheduled to be detained for labor tonight."

"What are we doing, Professor?" said Ron nervously.

"You go to Filch's trophy room and polish the silver trophies," said Professor McGonagall. "No magic, Weasley—you have to polish the trophies one by one with oil."

"As for you, Potter, go and help Professor Lockhart return his fan's letter."

"Good professor."

"Eight o'clock!" Professor McGonagall nodded to Lockhart and left.

"Harry, help Ron clean the trophy, and I'll answer Professor Lockhart's letter."

"Your words are as ugly as earthworms. This will affect Professor Lockhart's image." Hermione said.

"You also like magical creatures?" Hagrid said in surprise, "Those creatures are really beautiful, aren't they, come and let me show you my little treasure."

Hagrid took Lockhart to the edge of the Forbidden Forest: "Look, those are my new friends, Hippogriffs, they are beautiful, aren't they, Buckbeak, come here! Introduce you to friends."

A little hippogriff ran over happily, this thing has an eagle head and eagle claws, but has the body of a horse and powerful wings.

"It's really a beautiful creature, and it's cute." Lockhart touched Buckbeak's feathers and took out a piece of meat to feed it, it almost bit his finger.

"It is said that this is the offspring of a griffin and a female horse, hippogriffs fly higher and faster than any bird in the world, they are very fierce, but if you tame them, they will become The most loyal mount! How about, take care of them with me, Professor Lockhart, if you want, this little guy can be your flying mount in the future."

"That's really cool Hagrid, I'd love to see them often."

"I have a plan, Professor Lockhart, to crossbreed a human-headed manticore with a fire crab. I don't know what magical things can be born."

"Oh, creating new creatures? That's what Merlin is supposed to do, really..." Lockhart thought to himself, maybe a new book was coming out, "Lockhart and the Amazing Creatures He Created", not sure about Hagrid's Can giant blood resist the oblivion spell? "This is so interesting, Hagrid, I support you! When a new creature is born, you must let me see it first!"

Hagrid's beard grew even more shaggy with joy: "Yes, Professor Lockhart, who made you my best friend. You might like Professor Kettleburn, he's the Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures! He's my best friend. I admire people." Hagrid seemed a little frustrated, "but his health seems to be getting worse and worse, after all, it takes a lot of energy to take care of these little things."

"Ah, that's such a pity, if he wants to retire, I think you should be the next professor of conservation of magical creatures."

"Oh, do you really think that?" Hagrid's eyes widened, "You don't know that I was actually expelled from Hogwarts. Oh, don't mention it, it's good to be a forest guard now."
