Hessian Does A Thing

Chapter 65 - Forest of Spirits

Hessian POV

With the anniversary done with, I stepped through the portal back to where I left Alice. Blinking a few times, I take in my surroundings. There was nothing, what the f.u.c.k? The area looks like the aftermath of a nuclear fallout. Did I come to the wrong place? Pretty sure I used the right coordinates.

"Onyx, is this the right place?"

[Scans show that coordinates match.]

Huh, well I guess I should just find out where Alice went then. Looking around, I notice a single large crater at the center of the wasteland.

"...Alice?" I called out when I saw her figure curled up on the ground. She was shaking back and forth mumbling incoherently. Oh she still has the anti-ghost sword I gave her, wow she is holding onto it tight.

When she didn't respond, I reached out to her. The moment my hand made contact, she twirled around with blinding speed and I felt my face make contact with the ground. Did she just smack me over the head with the sword? I raised my head and noticed the crater expanded in size. If I wasn't a god, that would have destroyed my physical body.

I noticed she went back to incoherent mumbles. With a sigh, I get ready to drag her body away from this place. I might aswell help her recover a bit, since this was sort of my fault.

After a questionable amount of time, Alice and Hessian agreed not to speak of what had transpired at the haunted mansion. Now they were about to enter a Forest of Spirits to find the secret location of the Wind Spirit Sylph. Hessian had become intrigued when Alice spoke about the completely sentient elementals whose abilities reminded him of marble phantasms. He had met elementals in the past, but he had never personally contracted with any before.

"You sure we can't just drive through this place on a humvee?" Hessian asked since he was never a big fan of taking walks through nature.

"Idiot, the natives here wouldn't respond well to your little death carriage. Plus it might scare off Sylph. I'd rather not have come here for nothing." Alice rolled her eyes as Hessian wondered what kind of natives lived here.

"Ohhh, I've never met a fairy before." Hessian spoke with interest as he watched the little humanoid figures in front of him.

"Ah! A human, there hasn't been a human here in such a long time!"

"Nice to meet you, by any chance do you know where Sylph is?" he was more focused on finding the elemental.

"Hehe, I'm gonna play a prank on you!"

"Ah, what the hell!? That is not a prank!"

"Hahaha, you're funny."

"That's it, you little brats just lost your Anti-Dissection passes!"

The fairies learned not to play pranks on the gray haired magician in the future. Of course he didn't kill them, he's a professional that can keep his subjects alive.

"Wait, so elves are monsters?" Hessian asked incredulously

"Yes, you didn't know?" Alice rose a brow at that. Elves indeed counted as a sub-race of monsters

"Human! For daring to attack innocent fairies, you must be punished!"

"Well, they don't seem to be like other monste-"

"Through long hours of continuous [email protected]!" The elf finished

"I stand corrected." Hessian remained dumbfounded at the fact that there were r.a.p.ey elves.

"WHY ARE THERE SO MANY LIVING S.E.X.U.A.L PLANTS IN THIS FOREST!?" Hessian shouted at the dense mob of plant girls

"Well we are in a forest afterall" Alice commented from a tree.

Hessian was getting tired of plant girls.

After a questionable amount of time, Hessian had finally made it to the wind spirit known as Sylph.

"Um, are you okay?" the spirit awkwardly asked as Hessian was in a state of dissaray. His clothes were torn up and dirty. His hair was disheveled and some of his gray hair seemed to have begun turning white.

"I f.u.c.k.i.n.g hate forests." He muttered with a sigh. He was covered in pollen and sap after forcing his way through plant girls. Funny thing, he still has a mild allergy to pollen. It was something he always forgot to fix when making a new body for himself.

"There, there. It'll be okay." Sylph consoled him awkwardly with headpats. She had asked the wind about the human, and knew the basics of why he came to her.

"So, how does this contract thing work?" Hessian asked after feeling a bit better.

"Well, I don't think you're a bad guy. But I can't lend my power to someone weak. So you have to beat me in a fight." she declared as she puffed up her c.h.e.s.t.

"Oh, it's that simple?" Hessian was surprised. He had assumed he would have to make some type of offering or trade. Or perhaps negotiate like a Shaman.

"But if you lose, then you'll be my toy forever and ever!" she chirped happily.

Hessian snorted at that. He assumed despite the bubbly way she said it, she meant it s.e.x.u.a.lly if his understanding of ero logic was correct."Alright sure." he grinned as he stood up and dusted the dirt off his clothes.

"Then let's goooo!" she hadn't had a fun fight in a long time.

Within Hessian's soul. Nanashi was calmly seated like always as if in meditation. After Hessian had become a god, his Sea of Memories expanded into an Ocean of Memories. In the distance there were some new land masses, but his lone mountain was still the highest peak. In just a moment, he felt a disturbance in the wind.

"Wowwww! It's so high up here!" Nanashi's eyes snapped open as he blankly blinked at the wind spirit that made herself known on his peak.

"Hi there, I'm Sylph! Wanna play with me?" the wind spirit got up in Nanashi's personal space.

Nanashi decided to just close his eyes and ignore the newcomer.

"You remind me of Gnome, maybe you two could be best friends! Hey! Don't ignore me! Let's play!"

Nanashi had received a new roommate within the Ocean of Memories.

Promestein had been ordered to deal with the problem known as the Church of Hessian. Honestly she didn't know why her boss didn't just deal with it herself. She could be doing something much more interesting with her time, like creating a new chimera. She decided to stop another angel to find out more information about this new religion known as Hessianism.

"Ah! Promestein! Are you here to convert to Hessianism?" the valkyre smiled at her as she carried around a book that was dubbed as the 'Holy Text of Hessian doing things'.

It was filled with nonsense, like a fictional story about traveling through time to defeat a King of Mages named Solomon. However an interesting tidbit she learned was of the Mistress of Hessian, who would protect the believers of Hessianism. Interestingly enough there was also claim that she was also a goddess. She had never dissected a god before.

She made her way to the church and snuck her way in. As soon as she found the person who matched the description of the 'Mistress of Hessian'. She planned to abduct her and take her back for study. Just as she was about to jump her from behind, she found herself trapped within a golden cage.

"Oh? You reminded me of Hessian for a moment." Ereshkigal turned around with a smile on her expression. "You gave off the same feeling he did when he was about to do 'research'."

Promestein was unable to free herself from the underworld cage as the Death Goddess stepped up to the bars. "You must be Promestein, you know I've heard of you and I think you would be a perfect follower of Hessianism."

"I never cared much for religion. I've never even cared much for the Followers of Ilias." she retorted. There were better things to do than spend all her day in worship and prayer.

"Oh, but I think you'd care for this." Ereshkigal tossed a book into the cage. Promestein raised a brow in intrigue as she picked it up. After flipping through a few pages, her eyes lit up.

"It's a copy of Hessian's personal research journal." She said as the cage disappeared. Hessian had a habit of writing down his thoughts during and after his DISSECTION BONER moments.

Promestein didn't respond as she was too entranced by all the data within the thick journal. She felt her soul resonate with the data recorded. On each subject, there were even memories implanted in the pages so she could experience Hessian's 'research' herself. Promestein promptly shut the journal and looked the Goddess in the eye.

"I'd like to convert."

Promestein became a devout believer of Hessianism
