Hi I'm Married, But I'm Sleeping With My Boss

Chapter 1 - Personal belongings

"Dear wife,

I know you've been wondering where I've been for the past months. I'm enjoying life peacefully and far away from you. I don't miss you, I swear. Why would I anyway?

I hope you have a nice time trying to pay off all my debts, for now just know i love you."

Meilin's hands tightened around her phone after reading those disgusting words from the message her husband sent. endless tears were rolling down the sides of her face. She was furious, why wouldn't she after she read such insulting words from him.

Pay off his debts? he doesn't work and all he does is make her life a living hell with all his unnecessary expenses.

She's lost several jobs because of him and he doesn't even stay home and fulfill his duties of a married man. She doesn't even enjoy the s.e.x anymore.

The house was half empty. She had to sell some of the furniture, her clothes and accessories to gather money because what he owed couldn't be paid off with her salary alone.

She was really depressed and unemployed at the moment. She had no one to turn to for financial assistance. A job was what she needed and she needed It fast. No matter the type of Job, she just wanted to pay off everything then her mind will be at ease as she divorces her husband.

All she needed was that one job.

A couple of weeks later she found herself dressed casually as an elevator girl, paper brown skirt, red shirt and a white face cap. All she had to do was operate the elevator and make sure it's comfortable enough for the users even If it's not for her.

Her salary was moderate but at least it was paid daily. She was qualified to have a better job but there was no vacant seats for her to work as a classed woman all because of that bastard she married.

She was far from being happy, the growth of melancholy in her heart was inevitable. She was too stressed to smile.

Some point out her flaws. They say she's not friendly, She doesn't greet, she has an intimidating look, she's not that pretty and lots and lots of other unnecessary complaints.

The head of the security service did advice her a few times on her daily mood but she was already accustomed to the frowns and the sadness. It would take a while before she's happy again.

Time passed and she was gradually paying off the debts, but she lost a lot of weight because she deprived herself from food because the prices of edible commodities inflated.

She'd be sick but she'd still go to work. Her health was deteriorating at a fast rate but her mind was too occupied with the bad debts.

She stood in the elevator, her seventh month in the job. Just waiting for whoever would want to use it.

A Man walked in, his hands in his pockets as he slowly leaned against the wall. His head was lowered and he said "thirty first floor."

She nodded and pushed the button but at some point the elevator stopped and the lights went out.

Suddenly, a wave of fear when she realised the elevator was really stuck. Her claustrophobia kicked in and she began to breathe in while smashing the buttons frantically.

"Hey what are you doing!" The man from behind called her but she still kept on, her legs wobbly from the darkness and the thought of staying in the elevator until the air supply fades.

"Hey calm Down okay" The Man took her by her Hand and pulled her close to his body "Just breathe steadily. Follow my rhythm" He softly whispered into ear as he breathed in a slow pace for her to follow.

In a matter of Time she was a bit relieved and she slowly wrapped her arms around the unknown man as he made an emergency call "Haru Jun Yang speaking. The elevator came to a stop somewhere around the seventeenth floor. Please fix this problem and fast. A woman is here with me"

Soon enough the elevator lights came on and before they knew it they were already at the thirty first floor. "We're here" Meilin slowly opened her eyes and she saw the doors were opened. She also noticed how close she was to the man but she didn't look at his face ever since they were in the shaft.

She still didn't as she wiped her tears away "I'm so sorry. I'm afraid of occurrences like that."

"As an elevator girl, you better get used to those kind of situations."

She finally gathered the courage to look up but he was gone. All that was left from his presence was his faint scent of honey and petals.

At the end of the day, the office closed and everyone was on their way home. Sadly Meilin couldn't leave her spot, it was raining. She didn't have an umbrella, she wasn't willing to pay for transport, other days she'd walk the distance no matter the weather but today, she wasn't going to take risks. It was stormy and chances of getting blown or electrocuted were high.

She continued to wait for the weather to clear up but an hour passed and it seemed like that pressure was ten times more.

It was getting dark and she was pretty sure she was the last person in the building. "Elevator girl?" She looked up and that familiar scent shot through her nostrils and her face reddened as she looked at the face of a god.

Her heart thumped softly as she stared at his unique features. His mono lidded sea green eyes rounded and perfectly connected to his nose. Perfect skin, with a perfect haircut.

What was the forbidden feelings in her heart called? She was married but why was she starting to covet him?
