"Morning boss...I need your help"

Guiren slowly drove and was observing the identical semi detached houses on each side of the street he was on. "House 99...house 99...house 99" He repeated to himself "Bingo!" He pulled over in front of the house he was looking for. He could tell by the marked number on the mail box.

He observed the house from the path way, white plastic window frames with it's blooming window boxes. The lawn was neatly mowed with flower beds on the borders and marble statues in their niches.

Honey yellow bricks used for decorative splendor was a hint on how the expensive lifestyle must've been in her neighborhood.

The door was left unlocked and he went in with ease. He first came across the living room and a small passage extended an opening to the different parts of the house.

As he proceeded his eyes glanced at the pictures of her daughters, he almost knocked over a well equipped shelve but he was able to comport himself and prevent the small wooden box from falling.

The smell of fresh muffins wafts out to Guiren's nostrils as he opened the door to her room. Seemed like someone paid a visit to her before he did.

"Miss..." He walked in, and placed the flowers in his hand by her bedside. She woke up by the husk sound of his voice but her eye lids were weighed and she moved sluggishly trying to cover up herself.

"What's wrong?" He asked and she sniffled and blew on a tissue leaving it wadded as she tossed it carelessly into a bin filled with more of those.

"A cold I see..."

She was shivering and her strength was robbed from her. She called him over because she needed someone to watch over the kids and attend to them for a little while as she recovered.

"I'm sorry for calling you so early."

"It's okay. Just rest" He proceeded to the kitchen to make her something. After a few minutes he came back with a coffee cup and placed it on the table.

She leaned up a little and turned to look at the rustic clay mug. Her hands were frail, shaking gently as she reached for the hot tea and blew on it before taking a sip

That was the first time guiren realized how vulnerable she was and how much of a toll the cold had taken on her.

"Anything else I should do concerning the kids?" He asked. She didn't reply for a while, all she did was breathe slowly and take more slow sips from the cup.

"They're hungry, feed them pudding."

He nodded and carried the kids to their arm chair, placing them in it one by one. Li hua was bouncing in her seat and she wiggled her feet while letting soft babbles out of her mouth. "So energetic this morning aren't you beautiful?"

Guiren said to the girl as put a spoon in the bowl full of pudding. "Open wide" He said to the baby that had her eyes fixed somewhere else. He wasn't good with kids, he didn't even know how to feed her without her crying.

"Let me do it" Meilin said walking out in shorts and a loose sweater over her body with long socks reaching up to her knees.

Her eyes glazed over the bowl of pudding In his hands as she took it from him "Just help me get medicine."

He nodded and retraced his steps to the front door. 'You couldn't feed kids Guiren... you embarrassed yourself In front of her' he mocked himself as he started the car and drove to the town with varieties of shops on different streets but in the same area.

He walked into the building, the bell jingled signifying someone just walked in but nobody in the shop looked concerned.

He proceeded to a shelf where he could browse for cold related medicine and buy the one he was familiar with. As he walked, he came across a shelf of books related to men health.

He bit his lip as he stopped to take a closer look at the books on display. "Relationsh.i.p.s...being a good parent...keeping up with your s.e.x life..." He assumed that many men his must've experienced all that read but he was still a clean man. Sadly.

He bought a copy of each of the books and moved on to pay for everything he picked out. He went back to his car, and was about to start it when he saw an acquainted man coming out of the pharmacy.

"Mr Yang" He called out and Haru turned to the direction of the man that called out his name. "Oh hello Mr Chiu" The two men greeted each other and moved to a better place to talk.

"What brings you here sir?" Chiu asked feeling excited about talking to his idol. "My wife is pregnant, I came to buy vitamins...what about you?"

"Well, a friend of mine is sick and I came to buy her medication..."

"Oh it's a she" Haru winked at him and he shook his head "It's not like that."

"Just know whenever you have an opportunity, never miss out on it. Seems like you're already preparing" He smiled as he spotted the books in his hands. Before Guiren could explain, Haru already cut in on his words "Sorry, I could've chatted a little longer but I have a lot to do. See you some other time" Haru waved and ran across the road to his car parked beside a candy shop.

Guiren sighed as he brought out the books, sorted what he bought and carried only her medication in a plastic bag. He drove back to her neighborhood and just like he met it in the morning, the door was still open. He walked into her home and traced his way to her bedroom where she laid with her kids beside her.

"I'm back and I have your medicine with me" she nodded as he handed it over to her. "doctor's note of your daily dosage is by the side." He sat on a small chair in front of her study desk and turned towards her direction.

He thought that he had served his purpose and figured it was about time he left.

"Do you need to go somewhere?" Meilin asked and he shook his head then thought it would be better if he nodded a yes.

"I need to go think about my life Meilin...I'm sorry but I really have to go" He said to her as he got up then bowed before turning to leave.

"Thank You Mr Chiu" She expressed her gratitude to the hurrying man and he stopped in his tracks.

"You can call me Guiren miss." She nodded and he closed the door quietly as he made his way out of her house.

Two hours passed and Guiren went home after a long drive and inevitable traffic jams. He plopped himself on his bed and pulled out the book about s.e.x and relationsh.i.p.s.

That was what he wanted in his life, the anticipation of a way that can't be described by words. He wanted to express his love for someone intimately, he wanted to experience the electrifying motion of sinning with the woman of his d.e.s.i.r.es.

He decided to take a big step and sign up for an online dating programme. All he had to do was just to set up a profile and select descriptions about the ideal woman he wants.

"Let's see here...Hetero...brown hair, slim build, Asian...very very important...early 20s...so many options to chose from" after wasting ten minutes on filling out the forms and reading the policies he finally clicked save and waited for notifications.

He got himself twenty date requests from young women, exactly the same age he selected or a bit younger than Meilin.

His eyes widened as he realised what he had done. He only pictured meilin as he picked default descriptions of the woman of his interest.

He didn't believe how he was able to explain every observable detail of Meilin and put them in words.

He paced back and forth trying to understand his situation. Maybe he only used her stature as a guide and got many women with similar features in return.

He wondered the outcome of the date and if he'll be able to impress at least a majority of the women he agreed to meet up with.
