Hi I'm Married, But I'm Sleeping With My Boss

Chapter 40 - To make her love you (3)

He was far from being happy. They both stood there, staring and speechless. One was patiently waiting for a reply while the other was unwilling to say anything.

"You confuse me Meilin" He said as he turned to leave. The door close and a cold breeze swirled in causing her to shiver.

She also confused herself, there was no solution for it. On one hand she never wanted to get involved with a man, on the other hand she wanted to be loved again but was afraid of the same thing she got from her previous relationsh.i.p.s. Depression, heartbreak and nothing but pains. She had to makeup her mind. What would actually be best for her and her twins?

A single mom life or give them a step dad?

Haru was locked up in his room. Cans of beer and burned out cigars were littered across the dark room. he hated himself and anyone that opened the door to talk to him. He wanted to be a lone, drink and sleep his sorrows away.

His hair hung as a tangled mop of dark colored thread. Depression was an excessive amount to adapt to, too difficult to even consider dealing with. He just let it take control of his mind and body.

He hardly ate, took care of himself, cared little or less about his health and the affairs of his company.

His aunt tried her best to cheer him up but he didn't listen. He wasn't going to forget the times where he'd made Meilin sad and the way he treated her was beyond measures.

He sat and gazed out of the window, more tears, nothing new or shocking there. He let them fall like a downpour making no effort to stop them.

He missed her badly. He missed every single silhouette about her. He sees her in his dreams, whenever he tried to occupy his head with things that didn't matter much.

Even though she was gone, her quality stayed, wonderful and solid, aggravating his heart ache and keeping the sentiments so crude. It was hard to cope with his situation especially when he was at fault.

Presently she was in the arms of another man. That Guiren that stayed close by through the moments of doubts and hate. It was sickening for him to consider what went on in their room and the possibility of him being the father of her twins.

That should've been his life but there was no chance he could swan that upbeat closure the two of them dreamt about in the past.

Was there still a chance she'd give their relationship another attempt?

Simply impossible but maybe there were slight chances of meilin miracle happening.

He got up, legs wobbled and his sight obscured as he advanced toward the door, hands on various items for support as he pushed down the handle.

His eyes squinted as the brutal beams of the sun fell on his orbs. He must've been there for such a long time that he wasn't used to splendor any longer. He encountered unceasing night is his room where the main wellspring of light was his phone. He just kept it by his side since he was sitting tight and praying for Meilin's call.

"Where are you going?" His aunt questioned but he ignored and headed out with his keys.

He changed clothes and brushed his hair but his facial appearance was a drag. He drove to the beach, where he could talk to the ocean and possibly God whether he was in the water or up in the sky.

He didn't want to seat back and stare at the ruins of his castle, he wanted to build it all up again. Bigger and better.

The cool water l.a.p.s at his feet, foaming like salt water. Despite the fact that the sun is beating on his back, radiating in his eyes, he couldn't resist the urge to relax as the breeze touches his face.

Relaxation, something he hadn't experienced for days.

The past weeks were horrible. Ai jin and himself were all over the news. Newspapers, magazines and national TV.

He was embarrassed and criticized for the things he had done to Guiren's organization hoping it would destroy him but, his scheme bobbed back on him. Furthermore, he got twice of what he expected would happen to Guiren.

He lost portion of his representatives, squandered cash on attempting to close down the media on the subject, contracts weren't signed, partnership deals were ruined.

Is there any good reason why he wouldn't breakdown to the degree that he'd smoke to take his mind of the real world and the pressure of being a human with terrible flaws.

Despite the fact that trouble nailed his heart to a haze of blame and guilt, he was certain he'd have the option to adapt somehow.

A month passed and Haru was able to suit himself again even though he was hurting behind the facade of a smile he plastered to temporarily replace his real emotions.

He bought flowers from a flower shop on his way to Meilin's neighborhood. He hired someone to watch her, because he wanted the perfect time to meet her and talk things out regardless of how long it would take.

He parked a bit far away to avoid suspicion and had to put up with walking a distance.

He rang the door bell and waited for a reply. It was six thirty at night and he was sure...well from the statements of the watcher, he was certain that she'd be home at that point.

"Coming" He heaid her voice from the other side of the door and it had more effects than just melting the ice of his heart.

Meilin's eyes narrowed and she crossed her arms "What do you want?" She was being hostile towards him already but he laughed her cold gestures off and presented the flowers hoping she'd let him in.

"I asked you a simple question, what the hell are you doing in my house? How did you find me?" He didn't answer he just kept smiling in a way she found annoying.

She took the flowers from him and tossed it in a trash can caring very little of how he would feel about it but the smile on his face stayed up.

"Can I come in?"

"Hell no" she slammed the door in his face and went back to cooking. Haru was still outside, his hands on the wooden door as he sang a song trying to provide comfort from his aching heart.

He knew he'd get such treatment but the pain was way different from that of his dreams.

She opened the door again to threaten "Please leave Mr Yang or I'll call the police."

He backed away, a frown on his face as he parted his lips to say something but she already barged into his statement before he could even finish it.

"I'll remind you Mr Yang, you're a married man and it would be improper to have extra affairs. Am i right or Am i right?"
