"I'm not getting married to Ai jin. Infact, I'm not getting married to any one. I don't love anyone! I just want to be alone!!!" Ai jin over heard Haru yell at his uncle over the issue of their marriage. The pair have been in a relationship for months and ai jin had hopes that Haru would agree to it.

She couldn't hold her emotions in. She stormed into his private room, pushed his uncle aside and stood face to face with him. Haru always had an indifferent and cold look on his face, but this time, she could see he was in shock.

"Why don't you want to agree to the proposal? Why don't you want to marry me?!" Haru didn't say a word. No matter how she shook him to talk. "Did you ever love me at all? Not even a bit? No feelings no matter what we'd done? Am I not attractive to you? Was it only for my body"

All haru thought about was sleep. Being a training CEO was hard work. Everything she was saying was a tiny buzz in his ears.

Ai jin could tell he wasn't listening. He was completely zoned out I'm that tensed moment of their relationship. If there was.

She slapped him then dropped her shoulders in defeat. Her hands slowly went up to wipe away her unceasing tears. "Why don't you care haru? Why don't you try to understand the feelings of people other than yourself!"

"Do you think I don't try to?"

"You're bad at trying then" haru had the urge to argue further but he sort of felt defeated. Maybe she was right. He lacked human warmth but it wasn't totally his fault.

Growing up he was cheerful, taking a look back he doesn't understand the man he'd become. Was he really the ideal man he always wanted to be. He was still in his early twenties, had no specific significant other so he couldn't really feel remorse for what he did to Ai jin but he keyed into the last words she said.

Meanwhile, Meilin was depressed at the hospital. Her eyes glued to the ceiling as she sang to heal herself from the sadness. She lost her baby and to top it all, she found out her mother passed away. Her house was sold off and the money went straight to her father.

She regretted everything. She shouldn't have left her mom. Shouldn't have fallen in love so carelessly, shouldn't have gotten married to him after running away from home.

Where else could she go? She had nothing left to lose. She'd be discharged soon and go home to that suffocating house she lived in.

She kept calling bao to tell him what had happened but as usual, He never picked her calls unless he had to tell her about the debts she had to pay or else he'd sell the house and leave her on the streets.

She had little time to think about her sorrows. She had a lot going through her mind, It was pushing her to the brink of suicide. Her heart ached, whenever thought about her husband, her mistakes, why life decided to punish her, What her mother must've passed through without her.

She was selfish all along. Her mother worked hard for her sake but she never saw it that way. A man came and came to destroy their bond. She foolishly accepted the fake prince charming and ran away to their little castle of torture and pain.

She went home the next day. Eyes puffed after crying. Bao saw her, didn't say a word, just puffed out smoke while channel surfing something interesting to watch.

"We lost our baby..." She said trying her best not to cry, hoping bao would attempt to sympathize with her whether he cared or not.

Actually, he was pissed whenever she'd bring up lame stories about her problems like he didn't have that too. "So? We'll have a new one...later"

She was afraid to yell. She'd always choke on her words and force herself to swallow everything she wanted to say. It'll only make his abuse worse.

"I hate you" she whispered. He heard but he didn't have the strength to react. Maybe they weren't really cut out for eachother. Nothing he could do. Divorce was not an option. She was earning money for him since she was the only one eligible to work.

His phone buzzed and he suddenly smiled. He met a young woman at a pub late at night. She didn't seem used to the beer, so he kept her company for hours until she decided to take a taxi home.

From what he could tell, her jewelry, clothes and her pair of shoes revealed how much of a rich girl she was. Before she left, he obviously took her contact and sent her a text as soon as he woke up the next day. He'd been waiting for her reply ever since and used TV to while away time.

She invited him to have a little chit chat with her at a renowned restaurant. Then he realised how useless meilin was to him. A woman was willing to pay the bills but meilin always made it seem like a big deal.

He went to their bedroom, opened up his drawer and brought out the best of his suit. Meilin wondered what made him happy all of a sudden as she watched from the corner of her bed. Could it have been a job interview? She just prayed it was so. Little did she know about the woman her husband picked up interest in.

Bao lied to ai jin about his true self and formes multiple fake stories about his achievement. Ai jin was marveled by his confidence and how much joy he derived being with her unlike Haru that despised her presence. She was grateful for the time she spent with him and didn't even notice when he'd kissed her forehead out of a blue.

Haru only kissed her once. He never pecked, cuddled or did anything couples did with her. Ai Jin's heart began to blossom because she thought with bao, she'd get the love she's always wanted.
