She took in a deep breath after being silent for more than expected. "Welcome to Aurora coffee shop" She greeted "How may I help you sir"

Haru shook his head before taking a seat on one of the two seater chairs. "I'd like two cups of coffee."

As expected, they'd act like complete strangers. He concentrated more on the newspaper, and sometimes his watch. He was simply being time conscious. He had a meeting to attend, and coffee time wasn't going to intrude on his plan. Even if the woman he once loved was involved.

She poured him two cups of coffee and placed the cups on the table. He noticed her ring, that was the first time he saw it. "Are you expecting anyone sir?"

He nodded and pointed his finger at her "You"

She rolled her eyes and turned to leave "It's been a while Meilin. How's your married life?"

She stopped in her tracks and looked at him with disgust while all he did was chuckle from behind. His way of teasing her was tagged useless and she turned her attention to her work.

He looked at the cup of coffee then frowned. He angrily plopped the money on the table then headed for the door "Did you ever love me?" He placed his hand on the knob.

"I'm sorry."

He closed the door and she was alone again. She would've loved to talk to him like she did before but she can't anymore. He obviously dislikes her after everything she had done but it was for his own good. She didn't want him to be affected by scandals, and she wasn't worth his time.

Ai jin was far better than she'd ever be. She wasn't rich, she wasn't that beautiful, she looked like complete trash and the cycle would always repeat itself.

The days she's spent away from him was depressing. She still loved him despite the distance and she's sure her feelings would never change.

But all she could do was dream to have him, reality wouldn't let her.

After six she closed from work, locked up the coffee shop and headed home. Her feet were already swollen from walking in the tight shoes to and fro.

She met her house opened and boxes everywhere around the front yard. It looked like somebody was moving into her house.

She quickly ran into it and stumbled across a pair, an older woman and a man. Out of no where a familiar face joined the scene "What's going on? Bao who are they?!"

He wrapped his arms around her small frame "Isn't it obvious wife?" He asked with a wide smile on His face "I sold the house" he whispered.

"What?!" She revolted as she broke free from his grasp and watched as his mood fell into that of rage.

"Excuse me for a minute Mr and Mrs Ying. My wife can be unreasonably feisty sometimes"

The unwanted guests excused themselves and left the couple to work things out.

"You heard me properly, I said I sold the house! You don't have the right to complain because we both know it was mine"

"You can't do this Bao! Where are we going to stay"

He raised a brow before he burst into laughter "What do you mean we? I've got the money and I have your money too. You should be more worried about where you're going to sleep tonight."

She held unto his shirt in ire. It was her first time of retaliating against his decision. She'd never done so before but selling the house was the last straw.

"Meilin let go of me" He said calmly but she didn't listen. The grip on his shirt tightened instead.

"Meilin...I said let go of me" he commanded and she shrieked but she didn't let go.

"I'll hit you Meilin...don't let me hit you!" he said slowly folding his fist. Her hands were shaking, he could tell how much she was scared but that wouldn't stop him from getting violent.

He pushed her and watched her fall. "I've helped you pack" he straightened his shirt and dusted himself "Don't waste too much time here. You better go find another place to stay. Meet me in my car. I'll assist you a little."

Tears rolled down her cheeks but she wiped them away. To her rue, they were ceaseless.

"Get up and let's go" She did as he said. Crying there wouldn't help matters. He'd already sold the house. It was truly his house and his only house. The rent she paid made her believe it was hers. She paid the money because she had nowhere else to go, there was no other place she could afford. Bakano was her only option.

"Luan your wife looks sad" The woman from before said after noticing her dull eyes.

"Yeah, my wife is sad. We've been living her for a while so it's normal for her to feel bad about leaving. She'll get used to it...I'll take her to a place she never imagined" He said with a promising smile as he grabbed her hand "Have a nice day Mrs Ying" He closed the door and shoved Meilin forward.

He threw her bags in the trunk of his car and forced her in. She didn't know where he was taking her and she couldn't do anything because of the speed he was on.

He pulled to a stop afterwards and dropped her by the roadside, tossed her bags out then drove off.

"Bao! Bao!! Bao!!!" She cried out. She actually ran after the car but she couldn't catch up. She knew she couldn't as soon as the image of her husband plugging in his ear pods reflected from the side mirror.

She tripped and sprained her ankle. She screamed in pain from the injury she sustained. Despite the trouble, she managed to crawl from the road because trucks were coming in fast.

She looked in her things for her phone but she couldn't find it anywhere then it dawned on her that she left it in the coffee shop.

The little hope she had left died instantly and she just sat on the ground devastated. This time around Haru won't come to her safety, she's sure he never will.
