High School DxD: The Final Finish

Chapter 1 - Work On Your Emotions!! Transported To A Fictional World!!

"Watch out on your left," Someone shouted. A rubbery red ball came sailing in from the left, heading straight for a teenager with black hair and purple eyes. But the kid had obviously been ready and easily managed to sidestep the incoming spherical projectile.

"Thanks for the warning Tyson," the black haired teenager called to a guy sitting on the sidelines.

"Just make sure to watch yourself Chosen," The guy shot back, a smile on his face. "We cant lose to these pricks."

Doug Chosen simply smiled and turned his attention back to the game of dodgeball that was currently going on. This wasn't just an ordinary game however, but rather an intense match between two rival schools that had been at odds for decades.

The other team was down two members while Doug's team was down by three, the opponent having a slight advantage in the opening of the game. This was the third match, the final tie breaker in a draw, a game that was becoming super heated as neither side was willing to back down. Though it wasnt a tournament it was still pretty important as the winning team would have bragging rights to hold over the losing school for weeks to come.

Doug ducked underneath another ball before scooping up one that had been rolled towards him by a teammate. He pulled back his arm, locked onto his target from the corner of his eyes and fired. The red ball travelled through the air akin to a speeding bullet before smacking into the c.h.e.s.t of its intended target. However just as he was about to rejoice, the target dived forward and caught the ball between his hands.

There was a sound of a whistle blowing followed by a shout that notified Doug that he was officially out and to vacate the field. This announcement was followed by a series of groans as Doug had been his teams best player.

"Sorry guys, didnt mean to get out so suddenly." Doug said apologetically as he walked to the sidelines with the other three guys who had gotten out. He smiled akwardly and was just about to exit the court when it happened.

There was a whirring sound, like some sort of rapidly turning bicycle wheel , that was followed by rumbling. The whole building began to shake, the walls started creaking and the lights began swaying, one even falling down and hitting the floor.

Shouts and sounds of running could be heard from throught the gymnasium, but it was all drowned out as Doug focused his attention on the swirling disk of color that had appeared in front of him. It radiated purple, silver, white and contained flecks of blackness giving the whole thing an air of mystery to it.

Despite the chaos happening around him, Doug was unable to move, though he wasn't sure if it was because he was shocked by what he saw or if it was because the long disk of color was holding him in place.

Then came the suction! It was light at first, merely ruffling his clothes but within seconds it became similar to a blackhole, s.u.c.k.i.n.g air, dirt and glass shards from the broken light into it. Doug himself was slowly getting pulled into it with no way to stop it as he had nothing to hold onto. The last thing he saw before being s.u.c.k.e.d into the disk was the gymnasium beginning to collapse.

------------------------------

Color! Thats all Doug could see after being s.u.c.k.e.d into the disk or wormhole or whatever it had been. Swirls of bright colors twisted and streamed themselves everywhere as far the eye could see. The void he had been pulled into seemed empty of any life, not a single living soul appearing as he drifted along.

Under normal circ.u.mstances, Doug would be freaking out and probably having a panic attack, wondering what had happened to him and if he was going to be okay. However, for some reason, he felt absolutely calm and was able to think clearly without too much difficulty.

"So I know this isn't a dream, nor am I dead. That would mean that this is either real or someone spiked my gatorade bottle when I wasnt looking." Doug ran through the options in his head, trying to come up with a logical conclusion. "Well this could be a rip in dimensions like in that one anime I watched last night."

The dimensional rip didn't exactly look similar to this one, but the overall concept was still the same. If this was anything like anime then he would no doubt be immediately transfered across time, space, and/or dimensions to some other world for no reason. Of course that was unlikely since this was reality, a place where things went bad constantly. If he had to take a stab at guessing where he was going it would be to some inhospitable planet where he woul suffocate and die, or into space where his face would implode due lack of air pressure.

While he was thinking of the ways he would probably meet his fate, his eyes wandered over a small black dot in the distance. This black dot may not have looked like much in the grand scheme of colors drifting about, but the speck of darkness was slowly getting bigger as if it was rushing towards him. The darkness, which was getting closer at an alarming rate, shooting straight for him, slowly compressed into a tiny sphere as it travelled through the void.

Doug squeezed his eyes shut bracing for the impact of the hit, but after doing it for thirty seconds and not feeling anything, he opened his eyes. The blackness had disappeared but that wasnt very surprising or at least nowhere near as surprising as what he saw instead.

It seemed that the wormhole or dimensional rip had finally spat him out, but exactly where he wasn't really sure.

He seemed to be on some sort of bridge that went over some car lanes as sounds of honking and cars passing could be heard from underneath the bridge. The sun was in the middle of setting, casting a beautiful array of pink, orange, and yellow across the sky.

"Well at least this place even HAS a sun," Doug noted as he stood up from the floor, dusting his pants off. He was still suprisingly calm for the moment and he was beginning to suspect that it had something to do with the wormhole. "However this place looks a lot like Earth so maybe I'm still on the same planet."

"Umm, excuse me," came a voice from his right, a soft bell like sound that was oddly enchanting. "Your Issei Hyodou from Kuoh Academy right?"

Doug turned his to left and was rather surprised to find a rather pretty girl with long black hair. However he was even more surprised to hear the name she had called him by.

"Issei Hyodou?" Doug asked, turning to face her. "Is there something I can help you with?" He didn't know who this girl was but it looked like she was some sort of private school as she was wearing a school uniform that was usually worn by kids from private schools.

"Well sorta," the girl responded clutching her bag in front of her clearly embarassed. "I just have a teensy question. Are you seeing anyone?"

'Where have I heard these words before?' Doug thought as he watched the girl put on her act. Thats what it was, a total act, it was something so subtle that if you weren't super observant at the time then you could easily miss it. Just for a moment in the depths of her gaze, a look of contempt and malice flashed, totally throwing off the trance she would have put him with her school girl act.

"No I'm not seeing anyone right now." Doug responded, deciding to play along with the girl.

"Oh I see thats good," the girl replied, completely oblivious to the fact that Doug had caught on to her little charade. "In that case since your single, would you like to go out with me? I've been watching you pass by here a lot and you seem so....I dont know...gentle....."

Doug raised his hand, stopping her in the middle of her speech which, on literally any other girl, would've been charming. "Let me stop you right there little lady, I want to go over some things real quick." He smiled and shook his head.

"Firstly, that speech was rather creepy," Doug said tapping his finger against the side of the bridge. "You've been watching me? I would find that flattering if you hadn't shown malice towards me in your gaze. Also how can you say that I seem gentle? I'm tall, athletic, and have no problem hitting a bitch if absolutely necessary."

The girl had taken a step back and had a genuine look of shock on her face, clearly stunned that she was not only stopped in the middle of her "confession" but was even being lectured.

"Also, while I have no problem dating a girl that just met me, I do have a problem dating one that secretly hates me." Doug began walking in her direction, making the girl take another step back. "Your pretty but next time try and make a plan thats more foolproof, or at least work on controlling those emotions. It might work on a normal horny teenager, but its useless on me."

The girl seemed to have pulled herself togethed but instead of looking upset or even angry, she looked at him curiously as Doug walked passed her. "I guess your NOT just another male horndog who thinks with his d.i.c.k. This should be interesting!!" With those words, the girl began to walk in the opposite direction, away from retreating figure of Doug.

Doug, having not heard the words the girl had spoken, was repeatedly trying figure out where that girl and those words had come from. He knew it came from an anime but he just couldn't put his finger on it. If a girl had repeated those lines then it meant that she watched the same anime. However when that girl said those lines, it felt like she was IN the anime.

"WAIT, NOW I REMEMBER," Doug shouted out. "She was in High School DxD, one of the best Hentai....I mean anime of all time." He was excited, but only for a second until the reality began to sink in.

"So does that mean I'm in the world of High School DxD? But this world doesn't even exist." Doug stopped walking, leaning against the end of the bridge. "That wormhole must've been confused because it literally dropped me in a fictional world."
