High School DxD: The Final Finish

Chapter 3 - Class Is Boring!! Meeting Yuuto Kiba!

Doug opened his eyes, a feeling of exhaustion still with him. However, he had no choice but to get up as the alarm clock next to the bed was signaling for him to get to work. If it. wasn't for the fact that it was his first day in a new reality, he would've just clicked the alarm clock off and slept for an additional thirty minutes.

"Well, I guess it's time to get busy," Doug said as he walked to the closet and rummaged through the clothes. "I have a lot to do today and it would be a shame if I was late."

Doug held up the official school uniform for Kuoh Academy. In all honesty though, he had never been a fan of uniforms back in his own world, his own highschool having been very lenient and not having any sort of set dresscode. He wasn't sure what the consequences for not following the dresscode here was but he figured that gping one day without the uniform wouldn't hurt too much.

Tossing the uniform aside, Doug rummaged around looking for something that would look good on him. Though everything looked great, he eventually decided on a red shirt under a brown jacket with cool designs on it. The whole outfit went well with the silver dogtag he always wore and his new silvery hair.

"Alright, now that I'm all set, lets head out," Doug said as he grabbed the bag belonging to Issei and ran out his room and headed to the door. "Bye Mom, bye dad." Doug said as he passed by Issei's (his own parents for now) parents and ran out the front door.

It wasn't that hard to find the school as all Doug had to do was backtrack the path from his house to the bridge and then follow some kids who were dressed in the Kuoh Academy uniform. However he wasn't exactly prepared to deal with what he experienced when arriving by the front gates.

Almost every female would take at least a 10 foot detour around him, as if they were disgusted by his mere presence. He didnt think it was becuase he was the only one wearing a different outfit either. He noticed that the guys didnt seem bothered by him as they passed by him without batting an eye, it was only the females.

"Damn you Issei," Doug muttered as he shoved his hands into his jacket pockets. "Why do you have to ruin your image to this point? Do you not care if girls hate you?"

He began a slow walk past the gate his head raised high and his walk confident, deciding that he might as well make some improvement on Issei's current image.

Some of the girls noticed this and looked at him strangely, but overrall no one seemed to even care as they filed to the door and made their way into the building. The inside was huge, with a huge front room that was connectednto doors and had other hallways connected to it. Two staircases lead upwards to the second floor, where Doug was now headed. He didn't know where Issei's class was but he had spotted one of Issei's classmates and friend Motohama, a creepy looking guy with glasses.

"Motohama," Doug yelled out as he ran up the staircase to catch up with the guy, genuinely happy to meet someone who didnt think he was a sc.u.mbag pervert. Though the only reason he didn't think that was because Motohama was a huge perv himself.

"Ah, Issei, your here," Motohama said, pushing his glasses back up the bridge of his nose. "Lets head to class, and then after I have something I want to show you!!"

"Is it something super pervy and could either harm me or my reputation even further?" Asked Doug as they made their way up the stairs, many people flashing the two of them disgusted looks. "Because if its either one of those things then I'll have to take a rain check."

"Are you feeling alright there Issei?" Motohama asked, apparently now concerned about his friend since he turned down the chance to do something completely immoral. "Also, why aren't you wearing the school uniform? You going through a rebellious phase?"

"Shut your mouth Motohama," Doug said, giving a small laugh. "I'm completely fine and as for the clothes, I just wanted to try out something new for a change....I doubt anyone will notice and even if they did.....so what."

"Alright man, whatever keeps your boat from sinking." Motohama said, stopping by a classroom door they were about to walk past. "Just try to think about my offer I made earlier....I promise it'll be worth your time."

"Whatever man," Doug remarked as he stepped past him and slid the door open and walked inside. "I'll think about it and get back to you later."

There were people already inside the classroom and the majority of them were girls, which basically meant that most of the class already hated Issei's guts. He spotted a couple of familiar faces from the anime such as the two girls from the Kendo club, Murayama and Katase, and the l.e.w.d girl Aika Kiriyuu. He didnt know anyone else in the class as they weren't exactly mentioned in the manga or anime, but he didn't think it mattered too much, it was easily pushed away and forgotten.

Taking off the bag from his shoulder, Doug headed to the back of the room and sat in the seat he believed to be Issei's. He was probably wrong, but was pretty sure that any girl would just ignore him and find another seat. A couple of minutes later, the late bell begn to ring and an old looking teacher walked in, class had begun.

*Ding Dong Ding*

The sound of the bell rang out, signaling the end of the day, a sound that was music to Doug's ears. Throughout the whole day in each and every class, the teachers would give him work and feed him information that he had already covered back in his own world. It was so boring that, though he had tried to pay attention, he had fallen asleep right on his desk. He had even slept during gym class after easily running three l.a.p.s around the track, surpassing everyone else. Overall, today had been a dull day, even of it was in a brand new world.

"Ugh, its finally over," murmured Doug as he picked himself up off the desk. "I guess its finally time for me to get to work and gather some information on The Occult Research Club and Sona Sitris Peerage."

He had been thinking about it all day and figured out that his original plan had numerous holes in it and was, after mulling it over, completely stupid. If he was being honest, the more he thought about it, the more it seemed that simply talking it over with the two of them and explaining his situation to them would yield the best results.

"So we're going with the calm and cool talk rather then yelling and screaming about satanists." Doug muttered as he grabbed his bag from beside his desk. "Definitely better then the halfassed plan I had before."

"Issei dawg, are you coming or what?" A familiar voice spoke up from in front of him, snapping him back to the present. "We got something to show you bro, it'll be lit, trust us!!"

Doug lifted his head to look at the two giys in front of him, Matsuda and Motohama. They both had looks of mischief on their faces, which gave him the impression that they jad found another way to be total perverts.

"Sorry guys, but I have things that I need to do today." Doug said and walked past them, his hands buried in his jacket pockets. He followed the other people through the door and into the hallway where numerous students headed downstairs or to other classrooms. Everyone was either heading home or to their appropiate clubrooms or study sessions.

"I guess the only problem now is finding out where Sona Sitri is, and/or where they hold meetings for the Occult Research Club." Doug said tapping his chin as he mulled over what he knew about the anime.

He was just about to searching at random when a voice spoke up from beside him. "Your looking for The Occult Research Club? I can take you there."

Doug turned his head to see someone he actually didn't expect to see so soon. Yuuto Kiba, a rather good looking guy with blonde hair and a rather gentlemanly appearance. He had acutally like the guy in the anime, thinking him cool and badass, but to meet him in person was a different story altogether. He had a small group of girls that were clealry following behind him, but at such a distance that it wasnt too creepy.

"Oh thanks, and you are?" Doug asked, a little annoyed by infestation of girls who were behind him. He liked the guy but not the fact that he was such a chick magnet, that part was rather annoying.

"Yuuto Kiba," Kiba said, walking up next to him. "Im a member of The Occult Research Club and can take you to see them if you wish." He gestured with his hand, a small smile on his face.

"Um sure thanks," Doug said as he nodded and folowed afted him. Things were playing out too well for his liking and he was getting a sense that things would eventually end badly for him. He needed to be alert, and hesitantly followed behind him.
