Chapter 63 A Different Lockhart

"One hundred points, where is Miss Hermione Jane Granger?" Lockhart's voice filled the classroom.

Hermione held up a trembling hand.

"He still calls her Jane?" Ron turned to Chronos and Harry with a gag look.

"Very good!" said Lockhart, laughing. "Excellent job! Ten points for Gryffindor! Now, let's get to the point..."

He bent down under the desk and lifted out a large cage covered with cloth.

"It's over." Kronos had already moved his feet out of the table, and he ran away immediately if the situation was wrong.

"Now—I have to warn you all! It is my job to educate you about the most vicious creatures in the wizarding world, so that you can prepare yourself for the future. What I show you now may be the scariest thing you have ever seen Stuff. But don’t be afraid, as long as I’m here, nothing will go wrong. I ask everyone to stay calm and not panic.”

Harry poked his head out of the pile of books he had made to get a better look at what it was. Lockhart put a hand on the hood, Dean and Seamus stopped laughing, and Neville shrank back in the first row.

"I'll make you promise not to scream when you see it," Lockhart whispered, "because that might irritate them."

Immediately, everyone held their breath, and Lockhart lifted the cloth all at once.

"By the way," he said expressively. "Cornwall elf just caught."

Seamus Finnigan couldn't help letting out a sneer, and even Lockhart couldn't possibly think it was a terrified scream.

"What?" Lockhart looked at Seamus with a smile.

"Oh, they're not - they're not - very dangerous, are they?" Seamus choked on a laugh.

"You don't jump to conclusions so soon!" said Lockhart, wagging his fingers angrily in Seamus' face.

“These little guys are very vicious, smart and scary!”

These elves, all blue with lightning, were about eight feet tall, with sharp faces and thin voices. After the cloth was removed, in the cage, they began to dash around, rattling the iron bars and making faces at those who sat closer.

"Okay," Lockhart said loudly, "we'll see what you do with them." Then he opened the lid. It's like opening a Pandora's box. The elves scattered like rockets.

It was a mess, and two of them pulled Neville by the ear and lifted him into the air. A few more crashed out of windows, and those in the back row were doused in broken glass. The rest went on to effectively wreak havoc on classrooms more effectively than a rampaging rhino. They took inkwells and splashed them all over the place. Tear up textbooks, test papers, and the paintings on the walls. He turned the trash bin upside down, grabbed his schoolbag and textbooks and threw them out the window; within a few minutes, half of the class was hiding under the desks, and Neville was suspended from the ceiling lamps.

Kronos took out his wand and used freezing magic to freeze an elf who was holding his hair.

Lockhart, who was standing on top, watched excitedly as they fled in all directions.

"What's the matter? They're just a bunch of elves," he said.

Chronos had had enough of his disgusting faux pas, and he pulled out his wand to clean up the mess.

"The flames are raging." Someone was faster than Kronos, and a hot flame swept across the entire classroom. The little elf, who was still running around just now, was immediately burned to ashes and drifted in the wind.

Chronos stared blankly at Lockhart who was holding the wand, and he was right. The spell just now had been released from Lockhart's wand.

"Didn't Lockhart know anything in the original book except the Oblivion Curse?" Kronos muttered in his heart. "Is there something wrong in the book?"

"Ah, help~" A shout interrupted Kronos' thinking.

It was Neville's voice, his robes hung on the lampstand were ablaze and were about to fall off.

"Ah!!!" Amidst the screams of a group of girls, Neville fell in response.

"Wingadim Leviosa!" Kronos saved Neville with a simple levitation spell.

"You did a great job. As expected of the famous Magister in the wizarding world, you can even use spells so skillfully." Lockhart applauded Kronos while applauding on the podium.

"That's not as good as you! Professor Lockhart." Kronos said coldly.

Lockhart smiled, then turned around and said, "All right, students. Go back to your seats!"

"Professor Slughorn, please stay here." Lockhart stopped Chronos who was about to return to his seat.

"Okay, students." Lockhart waved his hand, signaling the students to be quiet. "As we all know, the Defense Against the Dark Arts class not only learns to deal with those dark creatures. It also learns to deal with those evil dark wizards."

When Lockhart said this, he stared at Chronos intentionally or unintentionally.

"So I want to take advantage of the little time in this class to demonstrate the battle with the dark wizard to the students." Lockhart said.

"How about it, Professor Slughorn? Would you like to be wronged and play the evil dark wizard?"

"I wish for it!" Kronos replied with a smile.

Seeing that a battle was about to break out between the two, the students below all started cheering, and of course some objected. Like Hermione and Daphne.

"Don't worry, don't worry." Lockhart waved his hand, "I will return you a complete Professor Slughorn."

"Ready, Professor Slughorn."

"certainly."

After the two finished speaking, they turned to face each other and bowed to each other. Then each held their wands in front of their chests and walked in the opposite direction of the other.

"One, two," Lockhart called as they walked.

"three!"

The two turned almost simultaneously, and Lockhart jerked his wand over his shoulder. Lockhart yelled, "The flames are burning." A hot flame burst from the tip of Lockhart's wand, and Chronos could clearly feel its heat.

Chronos barely raised his eyelids, and with a flick of his hand holding the wand, a "disappearing" uncurse spell eliminated Lockhart's flames. Since Kronos was able to feel the power of nature, his control over his own magic power has been greatly strengthened, and he can already achieve the realm of silent spellcasting.

Lockhart obviously did not expect that his spell would be so vulnerable in front of Chronos, and Chronos would not give him a chance.

"All petrified!" A faint ray of light shot out from Kronos' wand and hit Lockhart in front of him.
