Hogwarts: I Am Such a Model Wizard

Chapter 625: Umbridge messed with the wrong person

Chapter 625: Umbridge messes with the wrong person

By the time Kyle walked to the seat that Connor had occupied for him and sat down, a sumptuous lunch just appeared on the plate.

 “How’s it going?” Connor asked.

"As we guessed before, Umbridge...or the Ministry of Magic is here for the professors." Kyle said, "But there is something I didn't expect."

"What?"

"About Professor Trelawney." Kyle put a piece of toast on his plate, "I think she really seems to have a gift for prophecy."

"Who, Professor Trelawney?" Cedric asked in surprise, and then he shook his head, "As far as I know, except for those who want to get all the certificates, no one else will choose it after the sixth grade. It’s pointless to take a divination class, you won’t learn anything in her class.”

"Yeah, you're right." Kyle said with a smile: "Maybe she just has good luck."

By the afternoon, Kyle had to admit that he seemed to underestimate Umbridge's courage.

The first period in the afternoon was the Transfiguration class. When Kyle walked into the classroom, he happened to see Umbridge sitting in a corner with her writing pad.

But when Professor McGonagall walked into the classroom, it was as if she hadn't been seen. Just walked past.

"It seems that Umbridge kicked the iron plate this time." Qiu, who was in class with them, lowered her voice and said happily: "Professor McGonagall is not someone to be trifled with."

“Yeah.” Kyle couldn’t help but laugh.

Professor McGonagall strode to the podium, then turned around, and the whole classroom fell silent instantly.

"Okay, let's start class." Professor McGonagall said: "After a month of study, almost all students have mastered the preliminary human body deformation, so next we will increase the difficulty again..."

“Cough, cough.” There was a cough from the back of the classroom, and Umbridge also stood up, looking like she wanted to say something.

But Professor McGonagall seemed not to notice and ignored her at all.

"The so-called advanced human transformation means that in addition to appearance, it must also have corresponding abilities. Just like in the second event of last year's Triwizard Tournament, the Durmstrang warrior transformed his upper body into a human body in the Black Lake. Killing a shark is a successful human transformation..."

“Ahem, ahem.” Umbridge let out another silly cough.

After being interrupted again, Professor McGonagall turned around unbearably, "What's wrong? What do you want to say?"

"I just wanted to ask if it's a little too early for them to learn body shapeshifting," Umbridge said. "As far as I know, body shapeshifting is very dangerous."

"I obviously have different opinions from you." Professor McGonagall said, "They are all the best students in the sixth grade. It would be really dangerous if they still have to learn how to turn a teapot into a rabbit at this time.

“Besides, this has always been the case in my advanced courses. Didn’t you know this before?”

Umbridge looked like she had been slapped in the face, her face turning green and red.

Professor McGonagall was already teaching Transfiguration when she was in Hogwarts... But it was obvious that her results did not meet the standards for advancement.

So, what Professor McGonagall just said was almost mocking her for her poor grades in front of everyone.

There was a low sneer in the classroom.

Umbridge's face turned even darker.

 “Cough, cough.” She coughed again.

But before she could say anything this time, Professor McGonagall took the lead and said: "That's enough. If you want to know about my class, please don't interrupt me one after another.

“Also, I don’t allow other people to talk in class!”

Professor McGonagall was not polite at all, and Umbridge felt like she had been slapped on the other half of her face. She was shaking with anger and scratching on the writing board in anger.

Although Kyle couldn't see what she wrote, he was sure it was definitely not a good word. The cross she made was too obvious. But Professor McGonagall acted indifferently and didn't care at all.

And in the following classes, Umbridge didn't make trouble for herself anymore?

It wasn’t until Professor McGonagall announced that get out of class was over and the students filed out of the classroom that Umbridge stood up with a straight face and walked towards the podium.

As soon as Kyle let go of his hand, the book and quill in his hand fell to the ground, which forced him to stop and pick them up.

Kanna also turned back from the front to help.

“How long have you been at Hogwarts?” asked Umbridge.

Professor McGonagall closed the book with a snap and said stiffly: "It will be thirty-nine years in December this year."

"Oh...almost forty years..." Connor said in surprise, "Has Professor McGonagall been at school for that long?"

"Of course, don't forget that many professors have taken her Transfiguration class, such as Professor Snape, and..." Kyle pointed at Umbridge, indicating that she was there.

While speaking, Umbridge just wrote something on the writing board, raised her head again and asked:

“By the way, I heard that many students were injured in this class. Have you ever thought that there might be something wrong with your teaching methods?”

Professor McGonagall’s eyebrows were almost coming together. She said in an extremely cold voice:

“I guess I don’t need anyone else to teach me how to take a Transfiguration class.

"Also, if you are referring to Mr. Longbottom and Mr. Finnigan, I must tell you that even a simple lighting spell is not completely safe for them."

"Oh?" Umbridge said, "Then have you ever thought about not allowing students to use wands for the sake of their safety? This would solve the problem, wouldn't it?"

"I remember you fell down the stairs yesterday when you were running outside the school." Professor McGonagall asked, "Why don't you just sit in the office all the time."

Umbridge didn't speak, but just wrote a few words on the writing board with a livid face.

“Very good,” she said. “You will receive the results of your investigation within ten days.”

"I can't wait." Professor McGonagall said coldly. She glanced at Umbridge, who was rubbing the back of her hand, and asked in a tone that seemed concerned:

 “How are your hands?”

"It's just a small thing." Umbridge didn't react, mistakenly thinking that Professor McGonagall was trying to show her kindness.

“Perhaps I came across something enchanted while cleaning my office.”

She said, "I don't find it strange at all. There has never been a normal person in that office before. There was even Moody, who was mentally ill, and a werewolf..."

Umbridge said in disgust, "I threw everything away, just like those unreasonable systems in the school, they should also be thrown away."

“That’s right.” Professor McGonagall gave him a meaningful look, but said nothing and strode towards the door.

She waved her wand, and a piece of parchment flew from the ground into Kyle's hand.

"It's here, thank you, Professor McGonagall." Kyle said, "I just couldn't find it."

Kanna lowered her head in embarrassment.

After all, the piece of parchment is in the most conspicuous place at the door...Kyle can actually say that he can't find it so naturally...

"Hurry up, don't delay the next class." Professor McGonagall said and walked out of the classroom.

I don’t know if it was Kangna’s imagination, but she seemed to have seen Professor McGonagall smiling just now.
