Hold My Hand, Don't Let Me Go

Chapter 25 - There was a boy who loved a girl

"Selfish? Are you sure I'm the one that's being selfish here? Jonathan... Have you even thought about what would happen to me if we divorce two days after our wedding?"

Feeling her eyes watering because of the pain she feels in her c.h.e.s.t, Samantha stood up and faced the window so Jonathan wouldn't be able to see her tears.

"You selfishly left me in the altar, making me everyone's center of the joke. Now, you want to divorce me after two days of getting married so you can completely ruin my name?" Samantha wiped the tears falling down her cheeks and bravely turns her back and stared at Jonathan's eyes that is full of guilt.

"Do you think I would let you ruin me just like that?" Samantha said.

She then went back to her spot and confidently crosses her legs, completely showing her dominance in this conversation.

"We would get a divorce, but not right now. I'm not that stupid to just blindly do what's convenient for you and completely abandon myself. Samantha throws in her proposal, leaving Jonathan with no choice.

"Alright... but I have to make it clear now. I don't love you anymore, and if this is one of your schemes to make me stay with you then you won't succeed. I would end this marriage after the year is over." Jonathan stated. Not knowing that every words he said is like nails being etched unto Samantha's heart. She feels so much pain, but she kept it all and continued her facade.

"Good. I'll ask my lawyer to prepare our divorce papers tomorrow, you can put your signature on it when it's ready and I would sign it once the year is done." she informed him, then she immediately stood and walks towards the door.

"I believe our conversation here is done, I'm leaving" Samantha said without even waiting for Jonathan's response. She knows that she's being impolite, but she really can't handle the pain that she's feeling in her c.h.e.s.t.

As soon as she got to her room, she fainted on her bed.

And in her dreams, she went back to her past...
