After settling on an agreeable arrangement, the two seemingly incompatible monsters officially became Dawn’s tenant today. This should’ve been a time of celebration, but upon experiencing so many things in short succession – first a ghost and two monsters – his strong front faded, and he suddenly found himself struck with exhaustion.

For the next while, he collapsed on the sofa and didn’t want to move anymore, thus leaving the two other occupants to do as they pleased.

Boink was busy peering out the window when he brought up a subject they’ve all been omitting today.

“Landlord, is dinner takeout tonight or you cooking yourself? I can’t cook so I can send you the food money if you need.” The hamsterling rubs his belly in a hungry motion.

Hearing it’s food time, Shadow also licked her lip unconsciously to one side in anticipation. The lady got locked inside the pendant for over a hundred years. During of which she never ate. Heck, the only reason she’s alive still was sleeping and conserving her spiritual energy to avoid starvation. Therefore, it’s no wonder her tummy would “growl” in protest at being so empty.

Immediately, the catling’s face got beet red over the sound.

But who was Dawn? He’s a man that could turn a penny’s worth of food into two full portion meals. So forget takeout. He’s going to let them have a taste of his fine cooking by flaunting that super cooking skill in the kitchen. It’s just that… he couldn’t stand up when he tried.

Still lying on the sofa like a sloth, Dawn wanted to rest and go over what’s happened. It’s like a dream to him and he still couldn’t quite believe it. A powerful female ghost, monster hunter, a catling, and talking hamster, to say his view of the world just got flipped upside down was no understatement. And the reasoning for all this? The pendant hanging around his neck. It all started because of this trinket.

Reaching over to his neck and pulling the item up to his face, he examines the status panel again with his mind. Unsurprisingly, the bars were different again, and the order points soared to the level where he could roll the spin wheel ten times at least.
