Pei Hao never showed up in the next few days. I was very busy because a project I was involved in was coming to an end, so that week I worked overtime until 10 pm every day and never had time to think about him.

There were lots of things to discuss with the team at work, and as I had to be present, I had to take a taxi to and from work every day. I found it troublesome to drag my hurt legs, so a few days before the exhibit, I simply packed up and moved to the company. I was also eating takeaway at home, so what was the difference, anyway? I forgot to close the window while sleeping, and when the colleague called me the next day, I felt hot and groggy.
