HP Approaches the Magical World

Chapter 802 Everyone is a good boy who loves to go to class

"So, have people actually seen an Inferi?"

Parvati Patil asked in her shrill voice, "Is he really using the Inferi?"

"The Dark Lord has used Inferi in the past,"

Snape said, "That means we should assume he'll use them again.

alright……"

He went around to the other side of the room and walked towards the podium, his black robe fluttering behind him, and the eyes of the whole class followed him again.

"... I suppose you are quite new to the use of silent spells.

What are the benefits of silent spells? "

Hermione immediately raised her hand.

Snape unhurriedly glanced at the whole class, saw that there was no other choice, and said bluntly, "Miss Granger?"

"The opponent doesn't know what spell you're going to cast," said Hermione, "and that gives you a split-second advantage."

"This answer is copied from Standard Spells, Grade Six,"

Snape said contemptuously, "But it's basically true.

Yes, casting a spell without saying it aloud can have a surprising effect.

Of course, not all wizards can do this.

It takes a lot of concentration and willpower, and some people, "

His eyes rested on Harry's face again, "No."

Snape, Harry knew, was thinking of those terrible Occlumency lessons last term.

But he wouldn't lower his eyes and just glared at Snape, who finally looked away.

"Now, you can divide into groups of two,"

Snape went on, "One tried to hex the other, but they were not allowed to say it aloud.

The other tried to repel the jinx, but was also silenced.

let's start. "

Unbeknownst to Snape, last term Harry had taught half the class how to cast the Iron Armor Charm.

None of them said the spell silently, though.

As you can imagine, a lot of cheating followed.

Many students were chanting mantras in low voices, they just didn't amplify their voices.

As expected, at ten minutes into the class, Hermione managed to repel Neville's whispered Weak Legs without saying a word.

Harry thought resentfully that any reasonable teacher would have given Gryffindor twenty points for such a remarkable grade, but Snape just pretended not to see it.

When the students practiced, he dragged his robes to patrol among them, as before, like a huge bat, and deliberately stopped to watch Harry and Ron practice hard.

Ron was going to cast a curse on Harry, his face was flushed, and his mouth was tightly shut, afraid that he would not be able to resist the temptation to whisper the spell.

Harry held his wand in fear, waiting to knock back a spell that seemed never to be cast.

"That's terrible, Weasley." Snape looked at it for a while,

Said, "Come... let me show you..."

Suddenly, he turned his wand towards Harry, who reacted instinctively, forgetting about the silent spell, and shouted, "Armor for protection!"

However, the Iron Armor Charm he released was so powerful that Snape was knocked off balance and smashed against a table.

The whole class turned their heads to see Snape struggling to get his feet, scowling.

"Do you remember when I told you we were practicing silent spells, Potter?"

"Remember."

"Remember, sir."

"You needn't call me 'Sir,' Professor."

Before he could react, the words had already blurted out.

Several students around gasped in surprise, including Hermione.

But behind Snape, Ron, Dean and Seamus all had appreciative smiles on their faces.

"In detention, Saturday night, in my office."

Snape said, "I won't allow anyone to be rude to me, Potter... even the savior."

"It's beautiful, Potter!"

Ron giggled happily when they came out of recess a moment later.

"You really shouldn't have said that."

Hermione frowned at Ron and said, "What happened to you?"

"He's trying to put a jinx on me, and you probably haven't noticed!"

Harry snapped, "I've had enough of this in Occlumency class!

Why didn't he find someone else to be his test subject?

What kind of medicine was sold in Dumbledore's gourd that he was asked to teach defense?

Did you hear that tone when he talked about the dark arts?

He loves them!

All those unpredictable, indestructible things—”

"Yeah," said Hermione, "I think he sounds a bit like you."

"like me?"

"Yeah, that's what you said when you told us how it felt to face Voldemort.

You said that memorizing a lot of spells is not enough, you need your whole being, your mind and your courage - isn't that what Snape said?

Didn't he say it involved bravery and quick thinking? "

Harry didn't expect Hermione to think his words were as worth memorizing as "Standard Spells", so he immediately calmed down and said nothing more.

"Hey, Harry!"

Harry looked over his shoulder to see Jack Sloper - a batsman on the Gryffindor Quidditch team last term - hurrying towards him, a roll of parchment in his hand.

"For you."

Slooper said out of breath, "I heard you became the captain. When will the trials be held?"

"It's not settled yet,"

Harry said he privately thinks Sloper won't be back with the team unless a lucky star shines,

"I'll let you know when the time comes."

"Oh, well. I was hoping this weekend—"

But Harry had stopped listening to him, and he recognized the thin, crooked writing on the parchment. Before Sloper could finish his sentence, he hurried away with Ron and Hermione, unfolding the parchment as he went. 

Dear Harry:

I'm going to start giving you private lessons this Saturday.

Please come to my office at eight o'clock in the evening.

Hope you enjoyed your first day of school.

your faithful

Albus Dumbledore

And: I like sour soda.

"He likes sours?"

Ron said he read the text over Harry's shoulder, bewildered.

"It's a password from the stone monster outside his office."

Harry said in a low voice, "Snape's going to be upset...I can't go to him for detention!"

The two of them were talking happily when Hermione suddenly felt her notebook vibrate slightly, she quickly looked down, but luckily neither Harry nor Ron noticed her movement.

There is a line of words on the notebook, which should be an address, and the time is actually the same as that given by Dumbledore.

She is going to class too.
