After having the soft serve ice cream, we went shopping again and then walked over to 1Yoyogi Park to relax a bit.

The park covered an area of 540,000 square metres, with lawns, ponds, fountains, event spaces and sports facilities.

The park was said to be the size of 11 2Tokyo domes.

Near the station, there were many people moving around and it seemed to be very busy, but this park was in the middle of the city and it had a relaxed atmosphere.

And there I was, sitting on the grass in the park, being dolled up by Yuki.

“Hey, Mika. Don’t move!”

“Oh, I’m sorry.”

“Oh God!”

The black gal in front of me said, “You can’t leave your makeup because you’ve bought all these clothes!”

And then she started to put makeup on my face without my permission.

“Mmmm.”

Saki was taking a nap in the grass.

I saw a white hoodie with rabbit ears in a shop selling children’s clothes, so I bought it and put it on her, and she looked so cute in it.

“All right, it’s done.”

When the make-up was done, Yuki opened the black palette she was carrying and showed me in the mirror how it was done.

(…This is it!)

When I saw Mika’s face in the mirror, my thoughts were not ‘I’m beautiful!’ It was not …something like that, but it was something like ‘even if you are originally beautiful, makeup can change you.’

“There’s something a little off about this…”

Originally Mika had brown eyes, but Yuki said, “Because eyes are important for gyaru!” and she decided to buy brown coloured contacts and made me wear them right away.

I was afraid of having a foreign object in my eyes, but when I put them on it didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would.

Maybe Mika originally wore coloured contacts and this body was used to the irritation of contact lenses.

My only discomfort was the fake eyelashes glued on the top and bottom of my eyes.

I didn’t know if it was the eyeliner or the eye makeup, but Mika’s natural double eyelids had been widened and emphasized to make her eyes look bigger than ever.

“Aren’t those lips cute?”

“…Yes, it is.”

My lips were a light pink colour, which made it look bigger, but at the same time it gave a cute impression.

And it was called eyeshadow, but I saw that she used many colours on the inner and outer corners of my eyes.

But at a glance, it looked like a light pink, didn’t it?

“So, you can have orchid and chai bog, but I think, you know, eyeliner for teardrops, and then eyeliner…”

Can someone please crack this black gal’s code and explain it to me?

I couldn’t understand any of her words and I felt like I was talking to a foreigner.

No, it was still better to speak English, just so you know what you’re talking about.

“It’s all about the eyes for a gal! Don’t you think so, Mika?”

“Yeah… yeah, I guess so.”

I looked at Saki, who was lying on the floor, and gave her a good talking to.

She had been lying on her stomach earlier, but now she was lying on her back, saying, “Umyu~” like a real rabbit.

(Come to think of it, I’ve got a toy heart-shaped palette of children’s makeup, but I’ve never seen Saki wear it.)

I never felt the need to learn make-up, but perhaps I should.

As I watched the fountain rise from the pond, I knew I would have to do a lot of research on make-up, looking at videos and online information when I got home.

“Umyu!”

“Oh, Saki, are you awake?”

“Good morning.”

“Good morning, Saki.”

“Dari? (Who?)”

“Oh, my God! It’s your sister Yuki. I bought you soft-serve ice cream.”

“Sofu-chou!”

Shouting this, Saki pointed at Yuki.

Apparently, in our little angel’s mind, the equation black gyaru = someone who gives us soft ice cream had been created.

“After a bit of fun, let’s go home for dinner, Sofu-chou.”

I teased Yuki a little, thinking that it was hard to believe that we were in the city at the moment, with all the greenery and the pond.

“Hey, Mika, what’s with the nicknames?”

“Sofu-chou!”

“No, Saki! It’s Yuki.”

“Sofu-chou!”

“You’re both terrible!”

After this we played in the park for a bit and in the evening we had a hamburger and went back to 3Nerima.

It was another nice and peaceful day.
