I Am A Villain

Chapter 33 - I Found You!

As Zero appeared in DxD again he could only think of one thing.

'So it didn't work, I probably didn't supply enough mana. Moving a star is not such an easy matter after all. Though the objective was completed in the end, so no worries.'

As Zero was thinking he raised his head towards the night sky.

'There are more than enough test subjects after all.'

'Moving on now should be a perfect time to perform the scan. There are not that many so it should be fairly easy to locate once I get a fix on their location.'

Raising his hand towards the sky Zero chanted a magic sequence.

Zero: "Dimensional Scan! Boost x20!"

'… nothing! Ah… I am an idiot, not all of the sacred gears are dragons. Searching for one similar to these 2 would be a waste of time.'

Suddenly 20 small magic circles opened in front of Zero. Zero started moving his hands through some of them, much like a magical computer.

'Bringing forth the information, memory of test: Dragon Booster, Dividing and twice critical. Compare the test with the memory of Alphecca tyrant, Annihilation Maker, and all the encounters with users of Sacred Gears. Find the common element… no, find the common energy trace between them.'

'…I Found You! Now to use this energy in my search magic and filter the results through it.'

Zero: " Dimensional Scan! Boost x100!"

As a large flow of mana expanded outwardly, crossing nearby dimensions Zero felt the presence of the Sacred gears he was searching for.

Zero: "Lock On!"

And magic circles appeared above his left eye.

Zero: "Spatial Displacement: Relocation!"

Suddenly, with no prior warning, a human and a vampire appeared in front of him.

Zero: "Well, look what we have here. The man who impersonates God, a mere fake and Valerie Tepes, the leader of the Tepes Faction. Or should I say Telos Karma and Sephiroth Graal."

'A dangerous human as deemed by the Grigori and the head of a vampire clan. Neither easy to find due to their techniques and magics… but that can only help you if the power is on the same scale. Once the difference in power reaches a certain point, there is no technique that would be helpful… except for plot armor.

Zero: "Spatial Lock: Engage! Shall we have a little fun? I made sure no one would disturb us."

The ability of Telos Karma was the most troublesome one to deal with. Before it would have been slightly tricky but now…

Valerie: "What is going on? Who are you?"

Kanzaki: "I don't think he cares much about our questions."

Zero: "Correct. I just need you 2 to die."

Kanzaki: "That might be a problem though. Transcendental Arrival!"

…And nothing happened

Kanzaki: "Something is wrong. My Sacred Gear is not responding."

After a few seconds, Valerie also spoke up.

Valerie: "Mine isn't working either! Just what is going on?"

Suddenly the fake god noticed something. Zero disappeared.

Kanzaki: "Where did he go?!

Valerie: "Look… a crack over there. Another one on the left side."

Kanzaki: "Space is… cracking? Is that glass? It must be meant to scare us. As long as we hold our ground we will be fine. It must just be an illusion."

After a few moments, both of them started to panic.

Valerie: "Can you hear the voices?"

Kanzaki: "Don't worry… it's just an illusion… it's… it's only been one day after all."

Kanzaki said as the light in his eyes started to dim and slowly the same started to happen with Valerie.

Valerie: "What are you saying… we've been here for…. been here for…. for.. one day. We will get out eventually."

Kanzaki: "We just need to… sit down and discuss… for a moment. We have plenty of time."

As the two sat down near each other, a bonfire appeared in front of them. Without any explanation, as if a thick fog was lifted, they could be seen standing in the middle of others just like them. Slowly wandering away in a field of empty souls, filled with humans, monsters, devils, angels, dragons, and countless others.

Meanwhile Zero just released the seal blocking the space. It was a secondary measure, had they escaped his domain.

'As expected of them. Not willing to back down lightly, though that is what killed them in the end. I had to use it to cut his connection with the sacred gear. With the ability to create and manipulate chances anything could have happened that I had no hope of foreseeing. Though I could have simply cut his head…. But where is the fun in that, breaking them down slowly, is the real fun.'

Moving away Zero decided to pay a visit to a special place.

Zero: "Relocation!"

As he appeared on a small hill, a lot of seals and magic sequences could be felt protecting the area. Unless someone was very knowledgable regarding magic they would not be able to detect them.

On the top of the hill, a tombstone resided, indicating that someone was buried here.

Once Zero got closer, a single word could be read on the tombstone, written in old English, translating to 'Idiot'.

Zero: "The sword isn't here anymore. The body has lost the faint connection to the soul so she is gone as well. Faint traces of summoning magic. High probability that they summoned the soul and the magic enchantment on my old sword intervened. As even I couldn't resist I would guess that the sword was destroyed after it struggled against the summoning and was flung in different worlds. Judging by the fact that it was Fate Series that the sword ended up and the memories that came through my command to Saber, it supports the theory that her soul is somewhere in the Fate Series."

'It would be useless to try to find her using my system as it can only take me to the default setting world and not its parallel worlds. That depends on 'luck'. My first objective right now is to obtain control over that luck.

'System, the random world has passed so I should be able to go where I want right?

System: "Correct. Do keep in mind that after you select one then you are forced to go to a random one."

'Take me to Kyokou Suiri. Let's see how far I can bend fate to my will.'
