I Am A Villain

Chapter 51 - A Small Deception.

All of a sudden Zero's golem disappeared from the front of Hashirama's deity and appeared behind it. Throwing a punch with all his force, imbuing it with a huge amount of chakra. As Hashirama felt the chakra signature he immediately tried to retaliate.

Even though the arms tried to defend, they reacted late and were able to only change the direction of the punch, making Zero shatter about 1/3 of the arms and his own golem's hand, before the Shinsu forced him to retreat to his previous location.

"You didn't just take his chakra… you took his techniques and his knowledge… that's how you teleported to me, the seal is still on my back."

"Maybe yes... maybe no… want to try and find out?"

"You have such talents, why do you stand against the Hidden Leaf?"

'I want to attack at this moment… but I can see the twitches on those arms… they are waiting for me to react, Even talking he certainly doesn't let his guard down. Better for me anyway, this thing isn't exactly cost-free and Tobirama's Chakra level may be high but at most, it doubled mine… The more I extend this the better my odds are.'

"Against the Leaf? You think this is about the Leaf? Hahahahah…"

"If it isn't about the Leaf then why are you doing this?"

"To further my own goals of course."

"And you are willing to trample on countless other people for that ambition of yours? To destroy what countless people sacrificed themselves to build and protect?"

"Indeed I am, this is the difference between my conviction and your dream."

"What do you mean?"

"Just by calling it a dream, you already set that objective beyond your reach."

"Because it was beyond my reach."

"Perhaps… but giving peace to your village wasn't, securing a future with less bloodshed for them was within your reach, securing peace for them was your duty… and now countless pay the price every day because of you. Tobirama Senju, Might Duy, Sakumo Hatake, Itachi Uchiha, and countless shinobi who had to sacrifice over the years because of you… no, because of your unwillingness to see things to the end and the problems you left lingering."

"I gave everything for the leaf, my life included."

"If you really gave everything… why are the other villages still standing? You were the strongest shinobi, it would have been slightly difficult at most, to get rid of every other major force out there and guarantee peace for your village."

"And what value does that kind of value does that kind of peace hold, peace achieved on countless dead bodies?" – Hashirama said enraged.

"To you, it holds no value, it is a loss…"

"Then…" – As Hashirama started he was interrupted by Zero.

"But… to future generations, to fathers who can raise their children, to children who don't have to suffer loss for the sake of the village, that peace is priceless. It is all your fault, you couldn't accept, couldn't even consider dyeing your hands in so much blood for the future that you talked about."

During the conversation, Zero voice had slowly changed. Little by little, traces of Tobirama's voice were mixed in, filled with pain and grief, and by the end of it, it was Tobirama's voice the one being heard.

"No…"

Widening his eyes, Hashirama was feeling confused, wondering if the words he heard could be true. At that moment he felt danger from behind as he tried to dodge and without delay, a hand speared through his c.h.e.s.t.

"It really seems that you are indeed quite resistant to the Mangekyou effects…"- As Zero was peaking a sword pierced his heart from behind.

The Hashirama in front of Zero slwly turned to wood, revealing that it was a wood clone.

"If I wasn't using a clone… I would have died. As I thought you are too talented, and yet so filled with hate and anger, as a sage I can feel it. You are too dangerous to be left alive… just like him."

Suddenly Hashirama felt a strong pain in his c.h.e.s.t. Another Zero appeared behind him with his hand going through Hashirama's c.h.e.s.t.

"You are right… but also wrong."

'I knew that if I used that hate and anger you would slip up, otherwise, you would have noticed the fact that the clone lacked in vitality. You played it cool… but you only played yourself. You simply couldn't ignore the hate-filled voice of your brother, could you? Kotoamatsukami did its part as well, though a bit lacking.'

"In the end, it was all a trick, you hold no hate for the Leaf…" – Hashirama spoke as the blood filled his mouth.

"What would I gain from hating the Leaf, I also have nothing to gain from attacking it… to be honest, I don't really care about it." – Zero said shrugging his shoulders.

"Though what I said was my own opinion, I feel that you simply didn't fulfill your duty as a Hokage, as a leader… though in the end, who am I to judge you?"

As Hashirama was consumed, Zero undid the Shinsu Senju jutsu and felt Orochimaru approaching.

'As strong as 'The God of Shinobi' was… he was still human in the end. One good hit and it is all over.'

While others would have a hard time understanding during most of the battle Orochimarus noticed at first sight. He knew from his experience with countless body modification experiments… That body was beyond perfect, every movement it made, every moment it existed, every attack it received caused it to evolve. Humans were similar in this aspect but much, much slower, like comparing the fourth space-time ninjutsu with a snail.

That aside, Orochimaru clearly saw how Zero consumed the Hokages, it was one thing to steal techniques using the Sharingan but the 2nd Hokage's space-time ninjutsu wasn't that simple. It required advanced knowledge of seals and years of training to master. All of this was skipped the moment Zero consumed him.

'If he is really telling the truth, a thousand years of consuming people, the amount of knowledge inside him would be comparable to at least 100 times the years he lived.'

Orochimaru couldn't stop his grin from widening, thinking that working under this person… this monster would be truly worth it even if he lost his own soul.

As Orochimaru drew closer, Zero spoke.

"Have you decided Orochimaru?"

"Indeed, and I would be more than happy to work for you, master Zero." – Orochimaru said with an excited grin and a slight bow.

"Then, when this part is over, we will talk again."

As Zero finished talking he turned his head towards Orochimaru and his Mangekyou started to spin.
