I Became a God in Tokyo

Chapter 252: Sooner or later I will see the Bodhisattva

decades ago.

At that time, Leiming Temple had not yet declined, and still had the pomp of an ancient temple.

The sound of Buddha is lingering all day long, and the incense is strong.

There are countless pilgrims coming from all directions, with a pious heart, entering the temple to worship Buddha.

This scene makes every monk practicing in Leiming Temple feel extremely proud.

What makes them even more proud is that there is still a monk living in the temple.

He has a handsome appearance that is different from his brothers and sisters, and his eyes are as bright as torches. He can quickly grasp the true meaning of the Buddhist scriptures just by reading the Buddhist scriptures a few times. .

Its name is Zhizhi.

There are many legends about this straight-hearted man.

For example, there are rumors that he has read all the collections in the Sutra Pavilion after only three years of practice, and he has memorized them fluently.

For example, someone once accidentally saw him arguing with the abbot in sign language calmly, but the abbot was speechless when he argued back.

For example, the temple once received an anonymous report letter, angrily scolding her for pretending to listen carefully at the god-Buddhist exchange meeting, but in fact, she has been secretly spying on a shrine maiden named Chiyo Aya.

These claims have not been confirmed.

And when a brother asked him about it, he just laughed it off and didn't respond positively.

But there is only one statement, which is unanimously agreed by the whole temple.

That is a straight heart, a person with great Buddha fate!

This statement comes from the scene when the heart escaped into Buddhism.

At that time, the abbot who was in charge of Leiming Temple was one of the few eminent monks in Leiming Temple who had opened the Celestial Eye.

During the ceremony of escaping into Buddhism, the abbot, as usual, took a look at Xinzhi, who was still a young monk, with his celestial eyes.

Suddenly paled in shock, he rushed forward and pressed his shoulder, shaking vigorously.

shouted excitedly.

"Sincerely, I didn't expect you to be a person with great Buddha fate!"

"With this level of Buddha's light, you will see Bodhisattva sooner or later!"

Amid the ardent expectations of the abbot and the cheers of other brothers and sisters in Leiming Temple, Xinzhi practiced Buddhism more and more diligently, and never let up for a moment.

Except, of course, during exchange meetings.

time flies.

In a blink of an eye, the ignorant little monk from back then had also received the gold-plated Buddhist staff from his master, the previous abbot of Leiming Temple, and put on a dark yellow cassock.

Became the new abbot of Leiming Temple.

After taking office, he spared no effort in spreading Buddhism and Taoism.

Lead the whole temple to worship Buddha together, and continue to make Leiming Temple bigger and stronger.

Under his leadership, Leiming Temple has faint signs of becoming the number one temple in Tokyo.

Only in his spare time, the old abbot, who was still in his prime at the time, would occasionally think of his master's words.

"Be straight, you will see the Bodhisattva sooner or later!"

Can.

What about Bodhisattva?

Why haven't you come yet?

Did you get lost halfway?

The old abbot didn't know either.

We can only redouble our efforts, dare not relax for a moment, and be ready to meet the Bodhisattva at all times.

But what he didn't expect was that the one who arrived before the bodhisattva turned out to be a catastrophe.

After the disaster ten years ago, most of the ancient Leiming Temple was destroyed.

In the temple cemetery, those cemeteries originally used for sale were filled with familiar faces.

Looking at the silent cemetery at that time, the old abbot who had shed all the tears in his life suddenly realized.

It seems that he understood what the master said back then.

master

Could it be that he was going to Xitian sooner or later, expressed in a more tactful way?

If so.

Then after he went to Xitian, he had to talk to his master.

Since then, the old abbot has regarded that sentence as an empty talk from his master back then.

But at this moment, after hearing Bai Mujun's words just now.

He only felt that the blood in his whole body was flowing into his brain, and his temples were throbbing up and down.

Looking at Bai Mujun incredulously, as if aware of the truth.

So it is, so it is!

What the master said is that he will see the Bodhisattva

And never said that the Bodhisattva came to see him!

The Bodhisattva wants to see someone else!

It was as if the psychological burden of many years had suddenly disappeared.

In an instant, the old abbot's slightly hunched back straightened up.

The spirit is hale and hearty, and the whole person becomes high-spirited.

Even the gray eyebrows exude a smile.

Say it earlier!

This made me worry about maintaining my image for so many years, and I dare not even disclose my relationship!

There is no need at all!

Thinking of this, the old abbot smiled with one hand, bowed his head to Bai Mujun, and said with a smile.

"Amitabha, I understand."

"Priest Baimu, please come here with me."

Then he turned around and walked towards the temple, leading the way.

Bai Mujun nodded, and then motioned for the ghost girl Hongye to follow.

The two followed the old abbot, passed through several Buddhist halls, and came to a Buddhist wall.

A large piece was hollowed out in the middle of the wall, and a tall clay statue of Buddha was placed in the hollow.

This Buddha statue is in the shape of a bhikkhu, holding a jewel in his left hand and a tin stick in his right, sitting on a throne of green lotus flowers with thousands of leaves.

His face was calm, as motionless as a mountain.

It is the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, one of the four great Bodhisattvas.

"The red leaf monster, I will trouble you for the rest."

Bai Mujun spoke gently.

"Well, it's on the little girl."

The ghost girl Hongye nodded, and then walked to the statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Immediately, the jade hand unfolded and formed a seal.

Immediately, clusters of bright, fire-like light clusters appeared, floating on her fingertips.

All of a sudden, the light clusters accelerated together, shot out from between her fingers, and submerged into the Buddha statue in front of her.

Like a layer of veil falling on it, the surface of the Buddha statue glowed faintly red.

hum.

It seemed that there was an invisible fluctuation passing by, and the Buddha statue suddenly began to tremble slightly.

The texture of the clay sculptured cassock on it suddenly became softer, and the color also became brighter.

Meanwhile, the gray color of the body gradually faded, and it began to turn into the flesh color of the human body. At the same time, the luster and elasticity that the human body should have were restored.

The next moment.

The Buddha statue sitting cross-legged came alive.

Slowly opened his eyes, and scanned the crowd present with that calm gaze.

In an instant, the Buddha's light overflowed behind him.

The moment he was stared at by this gaze, the old abbot's legs trembled, he buried his head deeply, and bowed down reverently.

Chanting excitedly.

"Namo Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva with great wishes, Namo Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva with great wishes"

In this regard, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva did not stop him, but allowed him to worship.

He stood up from the lotus throne and walked down.

When he came in front of Bai Mujun, he opened his mouth slowly, with a calm and heavy voice.

"In this way, are you the priest of Baimu?"

"Sure enough, he is a talented person."

"Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is very polite, but I have been waiting for you for a long time."

At this moment, Bai Mujun bowed slightly to salute, with a gentle smile on his face.

Before Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva could respond, he immediately asked.

"Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva must have heard about the merger of Huangquan and Hell."

"When do you think it is more appropriate to start work?"
