15 – Chapter 4. A Guide for Spirits Traveling to the Military Academy – 3

– 16 –

“This is the control room. Team B, please convey the situation.”

A voice came from the [Walkie-talkie] Hanging on Spinel-senpai’s clothes next to him. It was a loud voice, but it was probably the teacher who conducted this practice.

Senior Spinel said while pressing the button on her walkie-talkie.

“This is Team B. The location is being selected by securing an outsider hostage safely. Operation can begin in five minutes.”

“A foreign hostage? -Chic- Team A, Team B. I will adjust the situation. Since Team B took a hostage and increased the number of people by one, I will set Team B’s magic shield to be 10% weaker.”

The seniors in the entire class looked at each other and nodded. Instead of increasing the number of people holding hostages, it seemed that there was a penalty.

“Rager.” / 「Rager.」

“From Team A to Team B. What is the hostage’s impression of wearing?”

Senior Spinel glanced at me and she said with a sly smile.

“A freshman with silver hair, as cute as an angel.”

“Silver hair? I get it.”

The voice over the radio was a girl, a voice she had heard somewhere.

Wait. Are there any seniors in the whole class that I know?

“Muria-senpai?”

“Huh? Do you know Muria?”

“Yes. I got help yesterday.”

“Oops. Was it Muria’s acquaintance? Do you think the hostage play would be more realistic?”

At Spinel-senpai’s words, the other seniors sighed and shook her head.

She moved silently through her darkness with a short rod-like weapon in her right hand and me around her left flank.

It was as if her legs were carried as if they had been carried with them floating in the air.

“Isn’t it heavy?”

Being a spirit doesn’t mean it’s light in weight.

“I’m wearing what I’m wearing for training, but it’s called power armor, so at least one person can handle it. And you are so light I need to eat more and exercise.”

With that said, the old man grabbed her weapon upside down and gently pinched my cheek with her freed fingers.

If everyone says things like that, I think it’s okay to eat more. Shall we eat for two in the future? I’ll have to think about doing some exercise.

We arrived at a fairly large building that seemed to be our destination.

It was like a warehouse near the playground, and it is said to be one of the points used for practice.

“How do I tie it up beautifully? Now, the ribbon is complete.”

Senior Spinel, who sat me on a soft chair in her corner, hummed to her hum, and tied them together with thin strings.

As the other seniors took their seats, Spinel stood behind me.

“If you are tired, you can sleep.”

I can’t sleep anymore after taking a nap. Come to think of it, I haven’t decided what class I’m going to take tomorrow, but did you say that you’re in a hurry to watch the practice?

Well, they said that the morning class will start next week, so the morning will be free time. Then you can decide

“When will it end?”

“Well. It’s a little past 8 now, so about 30 minutes? It will be over before 9 o’clock at the latest.”

It’s not too late by that point, so it’ll be fine.

When she nodded her head in affirmation, Spinel smiled slightly and then lowered her visor with a squeaky sound.

“It is coming soon.”

When the senior who was watching near the window gave a signal, the other seniors, except for Spinel, who stood behind me, silently hid into the darkness.

One dim light hanging from the ceiling illuminates the view.

He spoke as if he was about to attack me, and then there was silence for a few minutes. There was no wind, and the lights flickered slightly.

And suddenly my vision darkened.

“?”

“Close your eyes for a moment.”

It was like Spinel-senpai covered my eyes with her hands.

As she was about to wait with her eyes wide open, the senior removed her hand.

A few seconds later, the door made of wooden planks suddenly shattered.

And a fierce light penetrated between the slightly opened eyelids.

“Evil!”

“Close your eyes! This tomboy!”

Senior Spinel’s voice moved forward.

Instead of her right eye, she quickly opened her left eye.

The giant in the white helmet who entered the room was being attacked by seniors who were hiding.

The spheres gradually hit the body of the giant who was blocking the colorful spheres by holding up a shield as big as his body, and the colors began to be painted.

Is that a magic shield?

If you see a wall full of dents or burn marks, it is unlikely that the sphere will be completely damaged.

It was said that such a large senior had excellent defensive abilities. He’s taking all six attacks by himself that can actually do damage.

In an instant, the giant took a big step on his feet and flew to the side. A senior in a black helmet hiding behind the door was tackled by a giant and fell to the floor.

“Solin! Carls! Get down!”

Two seniors, who were running to rescue a colleague who was crushed by Geohan at Spinel-senpai’s cry, bowed down. At the same time, the wooden planks blocking the window were smashed and spheres flew in.

Spheres were flying around loudly, but as a hostage, I was set in a corner for safety, so there were only a few that reached here.

Among them, a red sphere that has barely reached in front of me and is just dying out.

I saw the fire in it.

The heat that burns everything. The indescribable instinct of destruction. Self-destructive madness that consumes itself. A fire that burns from the deep ground.

The sphere disappeared, but the flame imprinted on my eyes did not disappear easily.

I had no choice but to stare blankly into the empty space until the practice was over and the seniors released the restraints.

“Thank you for your help today! In a short time, everyone was able to participate in the practice.”

Other seniors, including Spinel and Muria, greeted each other warmly.

But, my head was full of the flames I saw earlier, so I bowed my head to say hello and went straight back to the dormitory.

“Erif. Are you okay?”

While I was changing clothes and washing my face, Chermia came to me from the next room.

“Yes. It’s okay.”

Actually, the body was fine. Chermia looked at her complexion and sighed in relief.

“Don’t overdo it today and get a good rest. Oh. Did you have a dinner?”

Shaking her head, Chermia took her bread from her own room and put it in her little refrigerator in my room.

“Eat if you think you’ll be fine with it.”

“Thank you.”

“Thank you, get well soon. Then see you tomorrow.”

Chermia smiled and quietly left her room.

She

When she finished washing, she took out the bread from the refrigerator and took a bite, she asked.

Jureuk

Tears came out of nowhere.

“Uh. Why are you doing this?”

She wiped her tears with her sleeve, but the water didn’t stop flowing from her eyes. It was as if her body had weakened and the barriers of her mind had been broken.

She fell into a strange world and lost her memories of herself, and her body was no longer even human.

Luckily, I was found and treated with respect by people who recognized my worth, but to them, I was just a spirit in the form of a human in a powerful weapon.

Meanwhile, the pure kindness that Chermia showed me created a small crack in one side of the wall of my heart.

I didn’t know if this was a good sign or not, but she didn’t feel bad.

In that case, let’s shed the remaining grumpy feelings with tears.

I fell asleep with tears in my eyes like that.

Fire! It’s fire!

The scene where a hot explosion occurred in her head was played repeatedly and she woke up spontaneously.

The heat that seemed to spontaneously ignite even the tears she shed last night rose from her body.

It wasn’t really a fever, but it felt like something inside was urging me to burn something.

In a word, the alter inside me was whispering to me to live with a flame.

“It seems to be becoming less and less human.”

Still, the low and blunt spirit voice flowed out with no emotion. He smiled, put on his loosely ripped uniform, and went outside.

“Erif? Where?”

When I opened the door, I ran into Chermia, who was just coming out of the hallway. Seeing that he was dressed lightly, he seemed to be resting in the morning.

“Yes. Let’s go to the lab.”

I was thinking of going to the lab because I thought there might be something to solve the current situation. Chermia, who had tilted her head at my words, covered her mouth with her aware expression.

“Erif is he, a pilot special student, right?”

“A special student?”

“Ugh. So, in a slang word, the term ‘nominee’ is…….”

Oh, that’s what the kids were talking about behind the scenes.

At the entrance ceremony, Father Cust pointed out me and talked about new relics and additional points for aspiring pilots, so it seems that people already thought that I was definitely assigned to become a pilot.

It wasn’t wrong, so I agreed.

“Yes. Maybe.”

I can’t be sure as I’ve never asked Armion or Kirst who might have planned the job, but I knew that the reason I had to enter the military academy was to disguise myself as an ordinary helicopter pilot.

Since the wave of humanoid spirits is too large, I will announce my identity after the analysis of the relic is finished and the situation stabilizes to some extent.

At my reaction, Cermia nodded seriously. It seemed that the nominee was curious that I was going to the lab, but thankfully I didn’t ask why.

“Goodbye. Will you come for lunch? I’ll be choosing what class to take this afternoon.”

“Yes. I will be back.”

I broke up with Cermia and left her dormitory. It was quite early in the morning, so she had no one in the hallway except for a few really diligent seniors.

“Isn’t that Erif?”

A bright and cheerful voice heard just before going out to the entrance. Spinel-senpai was waving at me.

“Hello.”

“The freshmen didn’t have classes in the morning, but they came out very early, didn’t they?”

“Yes. I have somewhere to go.”

Senior Spinel nodded her head as if he knew it and put something in her hand.

“Eat when bored. I go!”

I looked down at her hand while watching the back of her senior who ran away like the wind. She put the soda flavored candy in her pocket and headed to the lab.

“Ah, Erif-sama!”

I came without any contact, but everyone in the lab seemed to know my face.

There seemed to be strict security procedures, but the guards guarding the entrance let us in right away.

As I was walking to the big room where my body was, a researcher I saw the day before ran rushing to me.

“Eh, Erif-sama. If you come, please let me know…….”

Oh, the communicator. Was eating

However, it looked different from the phone in my memory and I didn’t know how to use it.

If you say you don’t know how to use a communicator, you’ll be treated like an idiot.

In this case, you have to go out boldly.

“Can’t you come?”

At my words, the researcher showed a visibly bewildered look.

I mean I’m coming to see my body.

I glanced at it slightly, and then headed towards the main body.

Through the long horizontal glass window, a familiar silver dragon head was visible.

Researchers who were examining my body with tired and tired eyes were startled by my appearance and started waking up those who had fallen asleep nearby.

It’s not yet time to go to work, but you’ve probably been up all night.

When I opened the door, researchers flocked in.

“Princess! If you would like to help with research…….”

“Hey! You should call me Eriff-sama.”

“Oh, that’s right.”

I shook my head because I didn’t mean to help. The researchers, who were disappointed for a moment, lined up in some places as if they wanted to.

“I.”

The researchers looked at me in unison. I delivered the business to those who only looked at my mouth.

“I want to shoot a fire.”

The researchers looked at each other questioningly, then looked at me again.

“Yes?”

He smiled at the mysterious gazes of the researchers. As it got closer to the body, the identity of the flame filling my head became clearer.

When I put my hand on the body, a flame of imagery rose from where the human heart would have been. And the knowledge that had been dormant in his head was slowly revived.

It is the knowledge of fire and magic.

It wasn’t a bonfire made by burning dry branches, nor a match to burn tobacco, or a hearth to warm the house.

The fire of hell that burns quietly in the abyss and melts even the soul.

Hellfire
