So, while Noel was at loss, Rieta suddenly stretched out her arm and took the letter he had hidden.

“Uwaa!”

Noel was startled and tried to grab the letter again, but Rieta was a little quicker.

She quickly opened the letter, and she immediately saw the neatly written letters.

Dear Dwayne.

It was the same opening as last time.

Thank you for attending my birthday banquet. Really.

Well, I heard from your aide later that you hadn’t slept for two days, and yet you still came to the mansion to celebrate my birthday.

I’m sorry.

I didn’t even have the courage to send formal invitations, and I was just a little bit foolish by saying that there was a party.

If I had known that you would come like this, I would have sent you a proper invitation . . .

No.

Well, actually.

After that, the ink was slightly smeared.

Whoever it was must have pondered for a long time trying to write down the following words.

Just then, Noel reached out to grab the letter again.

“Give it here! It’s not something for a child to see!”

Rieta turned her body around and went down reading the rest of the letter.

I was afraid to formally invite you. Because I was afraid I would hear a word of refusal . . .

Thank you for giving such a heartfelt congratulations to such a rude person.

Thank you for asking me to dance.

And . . .

Your kiss on my cheek still feels a little hot, so I’m a bit embarrassed.

Still, if I think of it as a gift from you, I don’t want to look away from this in shame. I will cherish it forever.

Thank you.

Next time on Dwayne’s birthday, I’ll give you my kiss in turn.

The letter ended there.

Rieta could now understand why Noel’s face was red.

Noel was a child.

He must be embarrassed of the word ‘kiss’.

But Reita was different.

She had already read the story of Survival of an Ordinary Lady from the childhood section until the very end.

In the second half of this story, the word kiss appeared one scene after another.

So Rieta didn’t show a blushing face or a stupid reaction of stuttering her words with just one word.

“I, I told you not to look! You stupid Princess!”

Noel violently snatched the letter away and screamed.

“Why the hell is a small child trying to see something like this! Even if you look at it, you don’t even know what it means.”

“I know.”

“Don’t be ridiculous! Right, how do you know that!”

“A kiss?”

When Rieta asked with a casual expression, Noel widened his eyes and looked around.

“You, you . . . where did you learn those words?!”

“Even in the Kingdom, a kiss is a kiss. I knew the word kiss from the beginning.”

“. . . !”

“You’re so surprised that I know ‘kiss’ . . .”

“Aaahhh! Stop talking!”

Noel bowed down with a bewildered look on his face.

“. . . Stop saying kiss?”

“What kind of Princess are you not to be ashamed of that?! Huh?! How can you just say things like that!”

“I didn’t just say it . . . it just says kiss.”

As Rieta mumbled, Noel let out a shriek and hastily shoved the letter into his pocket.

Thanks to that, the letter was a little wrinkled, but it doesn’t seem like there’s anything to worry about.

“Okay, I’ll stop talking anyway. Rather, looking at this letter, somehow, it seems that the relationship is quite different from what Noel had imagined.”

“. . .”

At Rieta’s analysis, Noel poked his lips out and made a dissatisfied expression.

“Are you that upset?”

When Rieta asked, Noel shook his head laboriously.

“Whatever he does, she supports him. So, whoever the other person is, I . . .”

Even if she said that, Noel seemed to be greatly offended.

Darkness filled his red face.

“Are you okay?”

“. . .”

“Noel?”

“AAAHHH!”

Noel shook his head and screamed.

“Neither can I! I will never tolerate whoever it is! My father said that the Duchess Mayer’s position belonged to only one person in the world!”

Noel huffed and declared that he would find out who the other person was right away.

“What are you going to do when you find out?”

He was taken aback by Rieta’s question, but soon raised his chin and shouted proudly.

“I will tell her that the Duchess’s seat is for only one person! Of course, I’ll tell my father when he has returned from the Duchy’s estate, and she won’t do that kind of thing on his birthday!”

“Do that?”

When Rieta asked, Noel was instantly stunned and bowed his head slightly.

Thanks to that reaction, Rieta was able to quickly understand what ‘that kind of thing’ was.

“Ah, don’t kiss him?”

When she answered with a light voice, Noel looked at Rieta with a really bad face.

She doesn’t know why he was looking at her that way.

Anyway, from that afternoon on, Noel was very busy.

Whenever he had time while studying, he went through all the past schedules in the Duke’s room.

In particular, when he looked at the schedule, he looked carefully so as not to miss a single one.

However, the only birthday the Duke attended recently was the Princess’s party.
