I Can Extract Everything

Chapter 45 - The Golden Crow Tavern

Somewhere in Red Thorns City, to be precise, at The Golder Crow Tavern. It was a gathering place for cultivators to relieve stress and have a drink. This place is also the best place to sell and gather various information about what is happening in this city.

An hour after Qin Yi arrived in this city; he obtained information from several random cultivators about this place. He knew, if he wanted to get his revenge on Lin Yun, this place was the best place to execute his first step.

This time he didn't bring Lu Song with him. He left him at an inn in this city. So, he can move freely on his own.

The Golder Crow Tavern.

As he entered the tavern through the decorated, wooden door, he was welcomed by a feeling of comfort and a sense of home. The bartender is extremely busy but still manages to welcome you with a short wave.

Marble pillars support the upper floor and the oil lamps attached to them. The walls are littered with so many different decorations, and he was not sure if they tried going for a specific style at one time or just put up anything they like.

The tavern itself is packed. Locals and tourists seem to be the primary clientele here, which often means great company. Several long tables are occupied by, what seems to be entire groups, all enjoying the food, drinks, and accompany of each other. The other, smaller tables are also occupied by people who clearly enjoy each other's company, though they seem to be strangers who have met here. Even most of the stools at the bar are occupied, though nobody seems to mind more company.

Qin Yi saw that there was a table that had empty chairs. He walked over and saw a middle-aged man wearing a white headband. He was drinking as his face was slightly flushed.

Qin Yi looked up at him and smiled. He spoke neither polite nor impolite, "May I sit here?"

"Sit down!" The middle-aged man didn't seem to care much about the arrival of other people at his table.

Qin Yi nodded and sat opposite him. He started to observe his surroundings.

He saw people are laughing, talking, and drinking. This place is perfect in his opinion, especially after he saw that all the visitors here were cultivators. Though, apart from the bartender, everyone here was Qi Condensation Realm cultivators.

Then, he returned his attention to the middle-aged man in front of him. Qin Yi gave an order to the system to perform an extraction on him.

[Exraction completed!]

[Obtained 50 Qi Strands]

[Obtained 5000 spirit stones]

[Obtained...]

He nodded in his heart. Even though the amount of Qi Strands he got from this guy was tiny, at least he still got it.

"I should gather all the Qi Strands in this place!" Thinking about this, he couldn't help but smile.

"Brat, you smile to yourself like a fool!"

At this moment, a voice left the middle-aged man's mouth. Qin Yi immediately regained his sense. He didn't mind being called a fool since he was used to it.

"Old man, what are you doing here besides getting drunk?" He asked.

The middle-aged man unhappy, "I'm not old, and I'm not drunk..."

"Yes, yes," Qin Yi nodded and acknowledged his mistake. Then he continued, "You are not old even though wrinkles appear on the corners of your eyes and your forehead. You also do not look drunk even though your face looked red and your body reeked alcohol."

"…" The middle-aged man looked speechlessly at the young man before him. He slammed the wine he was holding onto the table and said, "Forget it, do you have anything you want from me, brat?"

Qin Yi doesn't intend to run around the bush either as he directly asked: "Old man, are you an informant?"

"Spies never admitted themselves as a spy, neither does informants..." The middle-aged man answered with enigmatic words.

"So, you're an informant!"

"Listen to me, brat!"

In the end, the middle-aged man gave up on looking cool in front of this young man. This guy is too straightforward, and it's not good for him to keep rambling around.

"What do you want to know from me, brat? It's not that I am arrogant, but I am the best informant in the place. The information that came out of my mouth is very credible and priceless. Therefore, the price would not cheap."

Speaking of this, the middle-aged man crossed his arms across his c.h.e.s.t, he strengthened his c.h.e.s.t, and he pointed his nose like Pinocchio. Apparently, he seemed very confident in his ability to gather information.

Qin Yi hesitated for a moment, and then he asked, "How much?"

The middle-aged man glanced at him with one eye and lifted two fingers from his right hand. He lightly stated, "Two hundred spirit stones!"

"What did you say?!!" Qin Yi slammed the table with his two hands. He looked so angry.

"Hey, calm down, brat!" The middle-aged man was slightly startled by the young man's overreaction, he tried to calm him down with an awkward face: "Even though it costs two hundred spirit stones, I can give you a disc-..."

"Two hundred spirit stones, you said? How could it be so cheap? Raise it!"

"Huh?"

Never mind the middle-aged man. Even the people around the two of them were dumbfounded. They were all informers; they could still hear even the slightest voice in this place as this was their specialty.

They initially thought this young man was angry because the middle-aged man's price was too high, but who would have thought...

Here, they heard the young man again say in an irritated tone.

"You don't want to say? Fine, I'll find someone else!"

Then, the young man left the middle-aged man's table and left the people who watched him utterly dumbfounded.

Meanwhile, the middle-aged man's brain still unable to process what had just happened. The action of the young man was too fast that he did not have time to act.

He looked towards where the young man had gone.

He was seen loitering around and passing through every table in this tavern. His eyes sometimes peeked out, and once he was caught, he immediately said hi with a smile, leaving people perplexed with his strange behavior.

This scene made the middle-aged man wonder: Is this young man's head all right?

"Forget it, better not to relate with this young man again," He said in a low voice.

The middle-aged man was gulping the drink in his hand, and then he saw a young man suddenly appear before him again. He choked and coughed for a while.

He asked angrily, "Why are you here again ?!"

"Sigh..." Qin Yi sighed and said, "I took a look at the people here, but they are just like what you said."

"..." Suddenly, the middle-aged man had a bad hunch regarding this as he scoffed and asked, "What did I tell you?"

"You said you were the best informant in the place and that other people weren't as reliable as you."

Σ(°△°|||)

I've never said that!

Suddenly he felt many red eyes upon him, which made him shiver instantly.

"Errr, what do you exactly want from me?" The middle-aged man looked at Qin Yi with eyes asking for mercy.

If it weren't for this young man being Foundation Establishment, the middle-aged man would have thought that he was only causing trouble with him. After all, which Foundation Establishment cultivator would bother themselves with a little Qin Condensation informant informer like him?

Qin Yi responded with an awkward face; he knew that he was already a bit overboard to this middle-aged man. His earlier actions were just an excuse to extract all the Qi Strands in this place, and the results were quite satisfying.

Hence, he decided to compensate this middle-aged man with a slight profit.

"Actually, I'm here not only to get information but also to sell information. And this information of mine is worth the price of 5000 spirit stones." Qin Yi raised his eyebrows and asked, "How is it? Are you interested?"

"5000 spirit stones?!" The middle-aged man was shocked, "Are you serious?"

It wasn't that he didn't believe what this young man said, but 5000 spirit stones was a large amount of money for him. After all, the money he currently had was 5000 spirit stones. That means this information would be equivalent to his entire fortune.

"I'm super duper serious!" Qin Yi chuckled as he continued his negotiations, "This information is crucial and priceless. I haven't passed it on to anyone either, and you will be the first to hear this."

"Once you get this information, you can sell it again to someone else for the same or even higher price; that's up to you. But of course, if you don't want it, I can go to someone else. Anyway, you are not the one- the only informant here..."

After he finished speaking, he turned silent and watched as the middle-aged man seemed to be in a dilemma. He seemed to be wondering whether he should take this transaction or not.

After a few minutes had passed, Qin Yi decided to leave as it was a waste of time. But then, just as he was about to leave, the middle-aged man suddenly called out to him.

A smile formed across his young face.
