I Cant Miss !!!

Chapter 97 - Isabella POV 5

With 3 games left Daddy spent more time with me practicing on my handles as he was showing me how to free myself from my defender and how to cross up my defender. The two games we played after the loss we won. That first loss had mentally given us the most as we learned from our mistakes and elevated our game.  We blew out the teams in the two games before the finals. In the finals, we had to play against the go-getters once again for the finals for this season's last game. Susan was a little traumatized after their first game so she worked extra hard in order to come out of it.  When Susan heard that our last matchups for the season were the go-getters she was a little excited that she was able to redeem herself once again. The match was a big deal as they had to transfer the location of the game to a bigger place due to the tickets being sold out.  They had to play it in a high school gym in order to make more room for the parents that took off for this game. Coach gave us a pep talk once again before the game started. She told Susan to relax a little bit and take her time when she was setting up the plays.  We all knew the role we were going to play as we headed out to start this game. The media had come to record this match as they put it on the local channel for those that couldn't make it. ESPN had also gotten word that Eazy's daughter was going to start in this final match so they had sent over one of their rookies a lady called Tammy who just graduated college to record the game.  Tammy was a big fan of Eazy so she wanted to take that risk and recording his daughter too. The game went underway as Bianca won the jump ball once again due to her being the tallest 5-year-old girl in the City was an understatement. Every time she won the jump ball unless she herself didn't feel like winning it but she always it wanted to.  She passed the ball to me which surprised me because she normally passes it to Susan. Susan frowned at this so I quickly passed it to Susan as she took her time to set up the play instead of rushing in to do her crazy layups. I got free from my defender as I was down the post.  Susan passed me the ball and I shot it to give us the lead, after that first game with them they realize that I was the main player even though going into the game they thought that Susan was the ace player due to always having the highest points in the games, so they were covering her pretty hard but after the last game when they realized that I was also a threat they started to cover me even harder given all the other girls and opportunity to get free and score as they please.  Susan was lightening it up with her crazy layups due to their defense going soft on her she was able to put up 10 points by the half while I had only six points. Bianca had put in two points and Sue and Pam respectively had four points each.  The score was tied by halftime, they're a power forward and small forward were lighting up the scoreboard due to Su and Pam not being able to play good defense. We had to bring in our bench due to the game being extremely fast as everybody was playing hard and everybody was tired. The starters had to rest as we watched the bench play until halftime was over.  The score was respectively at 30 to 30 which was a respective amount for kids our age. Five-year-olds don't normally score that much but this game was so high and intense that they were able to score back-to-back until we hit 30. During the half time break Coach, Gabby was talking to us about the mistakes we were making and told me to try to score more as I have been relaxing throughout the game.  Coach G told us that they had shifted the defense towards Susan once again so we should take advantage of letting me take more shots. After halftime, we got back into the game as all the starters were back on the court. After a good rest, the do-gooders brought down the ball as the point guard went pass Susan and was just about to score when I had shown up out of nowhere and pluck the ball from her hands getting the easy steal.  I passed it down to Su who was already running down the court in order to give us the lead. The point guard was pretty pissed and mad that I was able to get the ball from her but the game continued on as we were going back and forth. I wanted to try something new, so I decided to use a move that Daddy had taught me which was the Allen Iverson crossover.  I called for Iso as everybody separated and my defender seems to have gotten more serious in her defense because she knew that I was about to make my move. I backed up into the three-point line and then kept dribbling the ball faster and faster and getting lower and lower.  When my defender tried to reach for the ball to steal it because I baited her into thinking I lost the ball in front of her, but I pulled the ball right back up as she fell on her knees and then I threw it as hard as I can from the 3-point line and made it. The crowd went crazy after that move and even the rookie from the ESPN company was surprised that a little kid such as me was able to use such an advanced move like that.  The whole crowd cheered as my dad and his crew put up the three signs. I did the same thing while going back on defense. This game was absolutely crazy as we kept the lead until the match was over. I ended up with 27 points and a few dimes and rebounds. My daddy had rushed onto the court and picked me up as he started running me around.   Everybody was on the court it was quite the celebration as the ref was trying to control the crowd by getting them off the court. After the game, they rewarded all of us with metals and a huge trophy. Coach G was crying which I found funny as she thought her first year of coaching basketball and she was able to win a cup.  We took lots of pictures and after went to shake losing the team's hands. They weren't even angry that they lost to us as they knew that we were quite a good team and that we were going to get better after the first loss so they weren't ashamed but they were motivated to train harder knowing that there were people better than them out there.  They had been winning for a few years and was taking the cup year after year so for them to lose after a few years of winning they weren't even angry about it. After we didn't even go out to eat but went to celebrate at my home. The party was huge as all the team and their parents came over.  They were surprised at how big our house was because this was the first time we let the public into our home so it was quite a big scene. I felt like Daddy had already predicted that we were going to win so he had the place decorated and ready for the party as we celebrated all night long. End of Isabella's POV
