Obviously, he ordered the attack, so he couldn't just call it off. But then again Elric needed to check up on Alvin's state.

Thinking of these issues, Elric suddenly had a headache. Thankfully his aura was enough to deter Melinda keeping her at bay for noowever, after deliberating for a while, Elric realised he was thinking too mucudging from her reaction just now, Elric could tell she had a certain fear towards him adding to his attack earlier, Elric a thought flashed through his mind

*Consider the way the captured tribesmen look at her, she obviously has a high position even if she's not the leader*

*And based on her current unstable emotions, I might just be able to take advantage of it. Ending the battle quickly without having to fight*

Thinking of this Elric suddenly realised a way he could quickly end this and get both Alvin and the whole tribe back togetheluff!

Yes this was what Elric decided to do, after all, although Elric knew he would win if both sides fought, but considering Alvin's state, that wasn't obviously an optiohankfully due to his attack earlier, and the aura he emitted, Elric felt his chances of successfully bluffing her were at least seventy percent.

Calculating this, a plan slowly formed in Elric's mind.

"You over there, follow me with the rest of your tribe. Let's talk back at my place"

"And don't try to resist or I might just turn you into the next boulder"

Pointing to the boulder he just split in half, Elric had a light smile on his facaking a look at the frightened Melinda, Elric shouted toward her not giving her a chance to reachankfully, it seemed Elric's actions had an effect, for as soon as he pointed toward the split boulder, all the tribesmen including Melinda felt a chill go down their spinn fact, what Elric didn't know was that from the very moment he split the boulder, a few of the tribesmen had already wanted to surrender out of fear for their lives. Only due to Melinda's presence did they hold back.

Now seeing Melinda's current state, their cowardice could no longer be denied and before anybody could react, a few of them started shouting out I'm surrender

"I surrender!"

"I give up, please spare my life!"

"No, don't kill me, I'm too young to die!"

Soon under Elric and Melinda's shocked gaze, all sorts of pleas and apologies could be heard coming from one side to the other, with each more sophisticated than the last.

However, each of them was shocked for completely different reasons.

Elric on one hand was shocked by both their shamelessness and their incredible apologising abilities, to be homes Elric could have sworn he saw a few of them produce fake tears to help better garner his sympathooking at all of them kneeling, Elric only had one word in his mind.

Looking at each of them apologies in all sorts of ways, Elric couldn't help but feel like giving them an award.

Unfortunately, Melinda on the opposite side felt the oppositooking at the tribes who shed lived with and protected for many years now, Melinda felt betrayelthough she knew that the current situation was not good, but seeing the people she was trying so hard to protect throw themselves into the arms of the enemy.<novelnext></novelnext>

Melinda was currently at a loss of what to do, looking at the still begging crowd her eyes turned listless as the bits of affection towards her tribesmen rapidly reduced.

Just now, she and even her sister were willing to sacrifice themselves in order to protect the honour of their tribe and their homeland, yet it seems not everyone had the same thoughts as theealising this, Melinda couldn't help but doubt if what she was doing was worth it.

Thankfully, neither Rowena nor Morganurrendered if not Melinda would have completely been crushed by the feeling of despair and betrayaowever, Eleanore, who she didn't expect to betray was, unfortunately one of the loudest and most active in surrendering herself to Elric.

Taking a glance at them who were still begging Elric, Melinda slowly opened her mouth as she asked one question in a somewhat hoarse voice

"Why?"

This was the only word she could say at the moment, why?

Why did they not trust she could rescue them?

Why did they choose to abandon their homeland?

Unfortunately, no one could answer Melinda's question as the crowd was too focused on begging Elrieeing this, Melinda realised there was no hope.

Sighing slightly, Melinda decided to ignore them, while she at least made sure she and her sister were safe.

Thinking of this, Melinda looked toward Elric with clenched fists

"Well then mister first wizard, although I don't know what that is and I don't know who you are"

"But I'm willing to follow you back to wherever it is you want, as long as you make sure my tribesmen and my sister are safe!"

Saying that Melinda seemed to lose all the energy in her body.

How she ty might matriarch of the Amazon tribe, feared by beasts far and wide had fallen in the hands of some unknown maighing slightly, although unwilling Melinda still resigned to her fate.

"What! Matriarch no!"

"Lord Melinda don't do this, we Amazons never give up!"

Hearing Melinda say this, the few Amazons who were unwilling to admit decisively stood up while the cowards among them kept quiet as they clenched their fists hoping Elric would accept Melinda's surrender.

Luckily it seemed that luck was on the coward's side as Elric's next words left them bursting with joy.

Turning toward the now surrendered Melinda, Elric sighed with relief as he agreed to her proposal

"Well then, it seems you've come to terms with my arrangements, then I also shall do the same."

"You have my word, I guarantee that as long as no one tries to play any tricks, you and all your tribesmen shall remain safe!"
