I created Magic!

Chapter 14: Reinhardt

Entering the town, the first thing that came into the weary mismatched group of travellers' sight was a large chapel located within the centre, which loomed over the rest of the rather archaic-style buildings to Elric.

When coupled with the different humanoid-animal hybrid species, such as fox women and lizard men to name a few, Elric found himself understanding the saying, 'it's a whole other world out there.'

"Stop following me!"

"Young master, please calm down, the young lady would be angry if we fail to bring you to her."

The loud shouts of Kevin and the shaman could be heard amongst the entire group, many awkward eyes tried to find themselves looking anywhere but at the shaman's enraged face.

Suddenly, a loud clopping sound drew everyone's attention. When turning their backs it was then that they noticed a carriage heading toward them at a fast pace.

Headed by two white horses and a luxurious black and gold design, the carriage immediately became the new centre of attention to the group.

"Silence~"

No one seemed to speak, obviously afraid of angering whoever was in the carriage.

"Please don't come here."

"Please don't come here."

"Please don't come here."

Whispering under his breath Elric couldn't help but hope this wasn't a protagonist face-slapping incident.

"Why would they come to us?"

"Yeah, young master you're overreacting."

Elric ignored their reactions, after all, he didn't expect the indigenous people to understand what a protagonist's aura was.

However, like all protagonists, things rarely go in the direction they plan. The carriage continued to head in their direction showing no signs of stopping.

With a serious face, Elric spoke to the A.I. chip deep in his mind.

"A.I. chip get us ready to enter battle mode," considering that most villains have a bodyguard or two, he had to be ready.

[Battle mode is on stand-by!]

"tick"

"tock"

"tick"

"tock"

Time seemed to slow down as Elric waited for his first battle in this new world. His mind raced through the many novels he had read on the blue star, who'd been forced to endure the pressure of the protagonist's aura. He felt reluctant to endure the same, but oddly enough he also felt ready and maybe a little eager.

The carriage stopped right in front of them. Instead of Elric's envision of a typical arrogant young master, shouting for the peasants to move aside, a sweet young feminine voice called out from the carriage.

"Uncle Moses!"

Fortunately, all his anxiety was for naught. What Elric would call, 'a young fox loli' ran out from the carriage and jumped on top of the shaman's back.

"Uncle Moses?"

It wasn't until this point that the humans in the group realised they had never gotten the shaman's name during their brief but fun time together.

"Moses? Considering Zriork and Slohet, I was expecting a Xiakx or something."

The voice of George in the crowd turned the already strange gazes stranger.

"Uncle Moses, I missed you, where have you been? Daddy won't let me out to play. Humph!"

With puffed cheeks and arms crossed, the little loli spilled all her grievances while dangling from the shaman's back.

"I missed you too Aoma but your uncle Moses has been very busy," ignoring the strange gazes, the shaman, now known as uncle Moses, began to coax the little fox girl.

"Young lady come down from there!"

"Yes, look around you people are watching."

At this point, the guards within the carriage had already come down.

Thankfully, the guards seemed used to their young ladies' tantrums and skillfully pried her off the shaman's back.

Seeing that she couldn't deal with her uncle Moses, Aoma immediately began searching the crowd. It didn't take long for her eyes to light up at the sight of her next target.

"Kevin it's you!" Didn't I tell you to inform me once uncle Moses arrives?"

"Young lady it wasn't my fault, he just arrived," unfortunately, she wasn't in a listening mood.

"I don't believe you! I'm telling daddy you bullied me when I get home." Obviously, she had found her target now. How could she let him get away so easily?

Clearing his throat, the shaman stepped forward to attempt to pacify the little loli on Kevin's behalf, "lady Aoma he's telling the truth.".

"Yes, it's true"

"Indeed, we just came."

"Ask the other guards we just came."

As if on cue, the others in the group immediately began to support Kevin.

"Young lady, let's not make any trouble for them, lord Reinhardt is waiting for us at home." Seeing their young lady making trouble, the carriage guards immediately began to attempt to persuade her.

"I'm only going if uncle Moses comes with me!" Hearing the stubborn reply, the guards immediately had a headache.

However, seeing the small carriage and the large group of goblins and humans, the guards immediately disagreed with the idea of dragging them all back to their Master.

"ha-ha Moses, you take our human friend and go visit your benefactor. I, Zriork, shall wait for your glorious return!"<novelnext></novelnext>

"The great Slohet does not care about little time."

"Young master, leave the rest of the tribe to us you and *pfft* uncle Moses should follow the young lady," while trying to hold back his laughter Davis spoke up.

Seeing that everyone supported their leave from the group, they both immediately entered the carriage.

"Do you think the young master would be okay?" Watching the vehicle fade into the distance, George could help but ask Davis.

"Which young master? Ours? Or *pfft* Uncle Moses?"

"Ha-ha uncle Moses."

"ha-ha."

And so, as the two began to laugh like weirdos, the goblins awkwardly sidestepped from the strange humans to maintain a slight distance from them.

Elric watched out the carriage window with curiosity, now he had overcome his anxious protagonist worries, his inner scientist wanted to evaluate the indigenous people around him, moving to and fro the small commercial buildings.

Thankfully, the distance needed to travel to Aomas home was relatively small, and, in a few minutes, they arrived at a garish mansion that screamed rich to Elric at his first glance.

Stepping into the mansion, they were first greeted by a tall gentleman with white hair, a black suit with a white handkerchief in his hand.

"Sebastian!" Seeing him looking so much like the generic butlers he'd seen on the blue star, Elric couldn't help but blurt the most butlerish name of all time.

"Human, how did you know his name?" With Elric saying her butler's name so abruptly, Aoma couldn't help but give an ugly frown in confusion.

Thankfully, good old Sebastian was there to save the day.

"Forgive our young lady for her rude behavior, come in young master, young sir, let me invite you for some tea," the old man with white hair spoke up.

"Humph! Sebastian, they bullied me!" Aoma leaped into his arms, seeing Sebastian as her new toy to play with now.

"Now young mistress, what did the master say about jumping on people?" Putting her down cautiously, he began to preach.

"Daddy says it's not ladylike," feeling the sternness in his tone, her two fox ears immediately drooped.

"Have a seat, the master will arrive soon to meet you both," after waving his hands to the rather comfortable-looking ornate chairs Sebastian left the room.

Breaking the increasingly awkward silence with a cough, Elric turned towards the shaman curiously, "so, Moses, are you going to explain anything to me?"

"I suppose you need not call me shaman if you're not used to it, and don't look at me like that, I've never met her parents before."

Although he said so, Elric still didn't believe it.

"ha-ha you should believe your friends more often," a burst of laughter resounded through the room. "It's true, we've never met before, hearing your arrival, however, I just had to see the goblin whom my daughter so enthusiastically talks about."

Standing in front of them was a tall fox man with an imposing, aristocratic aura.

"Daddy!"

"Patriarch!"

"Lord Reinhardt."

Upon his arrival, both Aoma and the guards immediately stood up.

"Haha, no need for formalities," waving his hands, he motioned for the crowd to disperse.

Sitting down in the most ornate seat at the head of the table, he began to observe this weird duo in front of him.

"If I'm not rude, may I ask what brought about your human–goblin dynamic?"

His words seemed to cause a drop in the temperature, it wasn't until this moment that both sides remembered they were on hostile teams.

"Daddy, what just happened?" Obviously, a certain fox loli was confused by the sudden tension.

"It's nothing," shaking off the embarrassment, the patriarch leaned his elbows on the table and curiously watched as Elric proceeded to explain the cause and effect. His eyes glanced every now and then at the shaman's expression, looking for any change.

"So that's it!" 'forgive me for my assumptions but you two do not seem like the most hostile groups, considering the guard reports of a human and goblins laughing in town.' However, he felt too embarrassed to say the latter part out loud.

"If you want to use the arena, I can indeed help you. It just so happens, I booked it out for the entire day tomorrow."

Considering that doing so can make friends with some strong orcs, all whilst making his precious daughter happy, Reinhardt immediately offered a helping hand.

"Yay! Daddy you're the best." Seeing his daughter's smile, he couldn't help but feel proud of his decision.

"Thank yo-"

"No need for the formalities after all you're my daughter's guests," seeing Elric and the shaman about to thank him, he immediately stopped them.

"Sebastian, go and take them to their respective rooms," not giving them a chance to refuse after saying so, Reinhardt immediately stood up and left with his daughter.

"Daddy, I don't want to go yet, I'm not done playing with uncle Moses."

"Don't worry pumpkin, you can play with your uncle all through tomorrow."

"Really?"

"Really!"

With the disappearing of their voices, only Elric, the shaman, and butler Sebastian remained.

"Shall we head to your rooms now? Don't worry, I'll send someone to inform the rest of your group about your stay," the voice of the old butler brought their attention back to their current situation.

"It's not like we have a choice…"

"Humph."

Ignoring both their grumbles, the butler immediately made his way to lead them to their rooms.
