I created Magic!

191 First Trap

*Crack~*

*Crunch!*

*Crack~*

Waking into the depths of death valley, the sounds of bones breaking could be heard as Baphomet and his group took their strides.

The winds blew from the north stirring up the blood-red sand, and the heat of the sun was on full blaze

Thankfully, unlike regular humans, even the lowest of abyss demons have a certain amount of elemental and temperature resistance

Due to this, apart from feeling uncomfortable at the beginning, Baphomet and the rest soon got used to it.

However, even if that was the case, the path Elric had prepared for them and another demon that may come, was anything but simple

"Damn! What in the abyss Is this now!"

Looking at the object blocking his path, Baphomet had no doubt that Elric was the one behind it.

Unfortunately, even if Elric was the one to do it, Baphomet would be able to do anything to him.

Just thinking about it couldn't help but make him feel angry

"Ginoress go take a closer look at it, and let me know if there are any issues"

Pointing to his front, Baphomet immediately gave Ginoress an exploration order

Obviously, he wanted her to find out what dangers lay ahead.

Seeing this happen, perhaps Ginoress anticipated that she would encounter such a thing during the course of this trip

So receiving Baphomet order, she didn't resist nor, rather she just calmly strode forward calmly

*Amazing!*

*Is this actually what a human can make?*

Taking a deep breath, Ginoress couldn't help but admire Elric's prowess.

Sitting in front of her was a huge kilometre long gorge with a seemingly endless depth

And adding to the amount of abyss aura imbued within and around the gorge, just looking at it was enough to make a normal person go insane

However, it wasn't the gorge that shocked Ginoress and Baphomet, after all, no matter how powerful the current Elric may be

But creating a huge pit filled with abyss aura should be at least impossible for him, at least that's what she thought.

And strictly speaking, she wasn't wrong. The current Elric, unless he sacrificed his a few body parts and used up a lot of world power

Then such a whole would be impossible to create.

So with this in mind, Ginoress instantly knew that what Elric created wasn't the gorge, but rather what was on it

Just looking closer, Ginoress couldn't help but admire such a spectacle

On top of the gorge lay an extremely beautiful-looking glass bridge stretching directly over its diameter reaching the other side.

Although she didn't know who Elric didn't it, but that didn't stop Ginoress from being amazed

From its quality to its reflective nature, to its shininess, this clearly a material that neither she nor Baphomet had ever seen

However, what she didn't know was that this was the first time that such material had ever been shown in the world of Elias

And this material was none other than glass!

Using the abyss sand that was already in multitude and a bit of magic, Elric had unknowingly deduced a formula for creating glass

And that bridge in from of her was one of Elric's first creations, however, what she didn't know was that Elric created the bridge with a very small bearing capacity

Meaning that once a certain threshold on the number of people using the bridge at a time is crossed, then the bridge under their feet would immediately collapse

Unfortunately, neither Ginoress nor Baphomet knew about this hidden condition as all was in their mind was getting to the other side at the moment.

"Alright lord Baphomet, I'll lead the way"

"However I'll need two other people"

"One to watch my back, one to watch my front in case anything happened"

Thankfully, after hearing Ginoress' request, Baphomet didn't think too much about it and quickly granted her permission.

Soon before anyone knew it, time passed, and with Baphomet's permission, Ginoress and two other Abyss demons had begun crossing the bridge.

"Amazing! How can anything be so smooth!"

"Not only is it smooth, but it also possesses sharp and reflective qualities,"

Taking a break to feel the glass, Ginoress couldn't help but be once again amazed by Elrica's indigenous creation.

Unfortunately, what nobody knew was that this current scene was happening at many places all around death valley

Obviously, Elric had made more than one of such traps however for similar situations to be taking place all over death valley

Then that could only mean one thing.

That the other demons had entered death valley and had begun making their search for the blood ruby

Obviously given the characters of demons, this party wasn't something they wanted to miss out on

So at this moment from all directions, all kinds of demons some with even dukes and princes had begun charging their way into death valley's centre

And feeling the presence of the newly approaching demons, Baphomet quickly realised things were going to be big trouble if he didn't pick up the pace

"Damn Ginoress hurry up! We don't have much time!"

Giving her a warning, Baphomet couldn't help but want to go on that bridge now and cross it.

Unfortunately, a voice at the back Of his head kept warning him about the dangers that lay with that bridge.

Thinking of this, Baphomet knew he could only watch hoping he could avoid hoping that Ginoress cross was successful

And even if it wasn't successful, Baphomet hoped to at least learn something useful in case of his turn

Fortunately, just like Baphomet hoped, Ginoress crossed to the other side along with other demons without any problems

Seeing this happen, Baphomet couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief

Now it was his as well as his army behind him turn to cross the bridge

"Hopefully nothing goes wrong."

However, after sensing the approaching demons beside him, Baphomet knew this wasn't the time to worry

So looking at Ginoress far in the ether side, narrowing his eyes Baphomet began to take his own steps on the bridge
