I Died, But Came Back ... As A Wolf

"Uggghhhhh"

Groaning as his conciousness awoke Tian Long raised his head and examined his surroundings. Tian Long found himself with a massive crater that was a couple hundred meters from the cabin. Surprisingly the cabin had been left untouched by the tribulation or debris from the ground after his fall. Luckily he had fallen with his tail end in the direction opposite of the cabin as he couldn't imagine what he would have done if he went through all that only to crush them by falling.

Transforming back into his human form Tian Long then climbs out of the crater that he had created. He steadily made his way to the cabin to check if Da Lu and the fetus were alright. Pushing the door opened he was welcomed by the sight of Da Jiang making something in the kitchen. Freezing on the spot Tian Long couldn't process that Da Jiang was there for a second.

Rushing straight to Da Jiang, Tian Long then barrages Da Jiang with questions.

"Did you get the lotus?"

"How is Da Lu?"

"How is the baby?"

"What did you do to get the lotus?"

Stunned by the questions continuosly being spouted out of Tian Long, he quickly put his hand up to signify for Tian Long to stop. Taking a deep breath Da Jiang then answered the more critical questions.

"Yes I have got the lotus."

"Da Lu is perfecly fine and so is the baby, thankfully."

"Nothing much, just stealthily made my way past all the guards and detection systems and stole the best one from the restricted area where they are grown."

"Also I would like to thank you for risking your life to such an extent to protect my wife and child" Da Jiang bowed slightly to Tian Long as he thanked him for protecting Da Lu and the fetus.

Tian Long hastily asked him to stand straight as he waved it off by saying that he would do it again if need be. After all the courtesy was done Tian Long then told Da Jiang that he would be going to Da Lu to transfer some of the residual lightning he had managed to keep within himself. Da Jiang nodded as he continued to make their lunch.

Just as Tian Long had turned around to leave and head for Da Lu's room, Da Jiang suddenly placed a small jade box into Tian Long's hand and told him that 'In no circ.u.mstances should you open this jade box until it is time to use it as it will quickly lose it's efficacy when exposed to the atmosphere without being rooted in the ground. Thanking Da Jiang, Tian Long then firmly headed towards the bedroom.

Da Lu was once again sleeping with a steady breath, the only noticeable difference that Tian Long could see on her was that some of her hair had turned golden in colour making it look like she had put golden highlight into her hair, her skin also looked fairer than when he last checked in on her however he blamed that on breaking past another divine grade.

Sighing in relief as although Da Jiang had told him that they were both ok, it was better to confirm in person before believing what another said as they could be spinning the truth into their own opinion which could be completely false. Placing the jade box on Da Lu's night stand Tian Long then steadied his breath as he grabbed her hand and started to course the residual lightning and energy into Da Lu and controlled it in a way that would not harm the fetus.

A yellow glow converged around Da Lu before the energy began to be ravenously consumed by the fetus to hasten the transformation that it was currently going through. Luckily the energy that was meant to strengthen Da Lu's body was compensated by the fetus through it's own pure dragon aura that was beginning to become purer than it's own parent. Usually a dragon/human hybrid child only had half the quality of dargon aura that their parent had and with the passing of the years will dilute the bloddline along with the amount of dragon aura that they produce when born. Of course there are exceptions where the parent cultivated to a very high level which meant that their children's dragon aura would be on par and maybe even higher than a first generation drakonian.

The dragon aura being given off by the fetus was becoming so pure and overflowing that it made Tian Long frown as he knew for sure that if it continued like this then the child would alert the dragon clans within the higher realms who would either come to take the child to raise it or kill it outright and use it as an ingredient to reach higher levels in their own cultivation.

Tian Long's worry grew as time went on as the child's power kept growing higher and higher to the point that it was only inferior to the phenomenom that happened when he was born.

"Dammit, they will definitely be able to sense it's aura now." Tian Long gritted his teeth as he spoke to himself.

"What is happening with my child?" Da Jiang suddenly appeared at the door as he sensed the overwhelming dargon aura being produced from his child. At first he didn't bother with it as he knew that it hadn't come to the point that the dragons in higher realms could sense it however now it had passed a certain barrier.

"The child has inherited the massive dragon aura that comes with having the blood of the azure dragon, however something... feels... different about the aura being produced. It feels different form any aura that has ever been produced from any dargon being born. The power being produced is... more... ephemeral. If that is even the right word I am using." Tian Long tried explaining to the best of his abilities as even he didn't understand everything that was happening.

Hours went by as the fetus completed its transformation however this gave the dragons enough time to track its aura. At this point the look on both Da Jiang and Tian Long's faces were very strained as they tried to repress the gloom as they knew what was going to happen next.

The aura fell slowly hour by hour. The sun fell while the moon rose. The moon cascaded the cabin whilst they both took turns to watch Da Lu. A new morning began as the aura that was being produced finally faded however with that aura fading came a new problem for both of the men to overcome.
