This is a lot harder than I thought l. Their attacks are relentless. Plus I still have to focus on writing my spell. They won't let me out of their sights even for second. There's no openings left for me and their coming at me from all sides. The only reason they aren't going completely all out is because they figure that they can just tire me out and it'll be that much easier for them to take me away. There's not really anywhere I can hide. I could make a dive into the ocean, have the environmental advantage. It's worth a shot at least.

I finally finished writing my spell after dodging for a good 3 minutes. Now the question is how can I discreetly send out this little guy to my dad? Diving in the ocean and sending it out as discreetly as possible seems like the best option. Not only do I have the magic affinity and environmental advantage I'm a lot faster than them in the water, which would save some of my mana rather than using it to fight. The problem is they've probably already seen what I'm capable of since I did that big performance on Xander's private lake and they know that water is my element. No way in hell it'll be that easy. Plus there's also the fact this is no guarantee and I'll run out of mana a lot faster then they will meaning I'll be a sitting duck if dad doesn't get here in time.

"Stop running already and just come quietly little girl!!" One of my captors throws a fireball in my direction, I dodged and retaliated with a water whiplash to make him lose his balance by aiming for his feet. Then another one with a fist covered in stone came by on my left and was ready to pounce on me. I swerve over to the right and the woman makes a small crater in the ground.

"We could do this all day little girl but you won't win. Sooner or later you'll run out of mana and that'll be our chance to grab you." They were right I can't keep this up. Just what should I do? I'm getting tired and I'm running out of mana. Not to mention that I got so dressed up today that I'm all sweaty and hot. Wait, hot? Then I remembered something from my past life, we were studying chemistry and how heat can change a state of matter. Particularly water. I could create a steam cover and send out my messenger. Thing was I would be wasting a lot of mana by doing that with my own magic. I would still need to find a way to get closer to the ocean because the fog wouldn't be thick enough to for me to both escape and run away. I then see in the corner of my eye a water tank. Probably the one they were going to use when they were going to take me to the western continent. Its not a lot but it'll do.

I feint an attack to the earth magic user and luckily sliced the tank enough to cut open a hole for water to seep out. I quickly get to the tank by making an ice slide and go past the earth magic user underneath her legs and got to the tank. I gathered as much water as I could into my hands but as I was preparing my move the three of them start rushing towards me from all sides. I compressed the water in my hands and very violently turned the water into steam and blasted the three of them at the same time.

"Oooowwwww!!! She got my eyes. Shit that's hot I can't see anything." The earth magic user said.

"You alright Demi? Where are you?" The flame magic user said.

"Calm down you two I'll just blow back the steam." Their leader blew away the steam with some wind magic but thankfully through all of this commotion I not only sent out my messenger but also retreated into the ocean. I just hope they won't be able to find me until dad gets here.

Meanwhile as I was fighting for my life and hiding underneath the port my dad was really starting to get worried about me. Aston received a phone call from a caller with no ID on his phone and ignorantly answers it and on the other end of the phone he could feel a tiger that was about to bite his head off.

"Where's my little girl!!!!" The person on the phone was my dad, of course with both a menacing voice and an aura so potent it could be felt over a wireless phone line.

"Uh Mr. Greyson? What's wrong you sound like a your both about to cry and about to murder someone?"

"Why isn't she home yet? Where are you children!!!!!"

"What do you mean? My driver and I personally escorted her home just 5 minutes ago." Aston said in a confused tone.

"Liar!!! If that's the case then she would be around the neighborhood somewhere!! I don't see her or sense her mana." Confused and sensing something as a bit off Aston alerted his driver to drive back to my apartment and what my father was saying was right. There was no trace of me anywhere. The two of them looked everyone and even called Aren and Xander to help look for me but no such luck.

"Where could she be? It's not like her to not answer her phone. I'm worried what if something bad happened to her?"

"Calm down Li she's a tough girl. I know she's alright." Aren said.

Aston was getting more and more anxious. He was supposed to be responsible for my well being for the whole day and then something like this happens. Just as there were about to call the police, dad senses a small piece of my mana in the distance. It was the messenger butterfly I sent out to dad. Dad runs after the traces of my mana and catches my water butterfly. When dad grabs the familiar it bursts and starts spelling out a message in the air,

I'm at the pier, a couple of Xander's, Aston's friend's servants captured me and they are trying to get me to the western continent. Help!!

The messages dispersed and left a small trail of water back to where I was. Dad, Xander and Aston rushed towards the pier as fast as the could while Uncle Aren had put out a police report for me. When the finally got there I was kneeling on the ground drenched from head to toe the only reason I was still conscious was because of the pure adrenaline running through my body but even that was about to give out.

"Eli!!" Aston yelled from afar. When he did one of them blasted some wind magic in that direction. My dad quickly grabbed Aston and hid behind some of the debris.

"Calm down boy this isn't the time to let your emotions run wild. We need to be careful otherwise Eli could be in more danger." Aston composed himself a little realizing the gravity of the situation a bit better by biting his bottom lip. It's wasn't enough to make all of his adrenaline go away but it was enough for him to listen a bit of what my dad was saying.

"We have to be careful unlike her they don't have to go easy on us if the don't want to. Plus we're outnumbered. It would be unwise for us to proceed without caution." It was technically three vs three but dad didn't want Aston or Xander to fight, they had no combat experience. Plus any kind of hasty move could put me in more danger. The had the utter advantage. The only thing that came to mind about what they could do was to either find a way to create some kind of cover and run away or to create a distraction while Aston and Xander grab me and hightail it out of there.

"What type of magic can you two us anyways? I need to know what I'm working with and I'll come up with something based on our abilities."

"Well I can use earth magic, particularly plant based magic. As for Aston, he can us all types of magic." Dad had a shocked look on his face and his eyes widen in surprise.

"Wow really? And at such a young age as well? You never told me about this before Aston." If I remember correctly the reason why Aston was hailed as a genius of magic was because by the age of 6 he could already use all elemental magic. Magic in this world was uncommon but not rare for most people to use and very few have the talent to naturally use magic and even fewer can use more than one type without sufficient training. Eli in the manga for example had a rare aptitude for water magic having mastery of it by the age of 12. Aston however had an aptitude for all elements of magic; air, water, earth, and fire and mastered them around the same time Eli mastered just water magic. People in the manga called Aston a "mystic savant".

"Well if that's the case then I have a plan but I'm going to have the both of you use your powers to the absolute limit in order for this to work ok?" Xander nodded back at dad, Aston squeezes his palms tightly together. He realized that this wasn't some game or performance where he could just nonchalantly do and still get first place. It was the first time he had ever became nervous, knowing that if he should fail he could lose me forever.
