Master.”

“What is it?”

Chester paused. If Lohan, who can manage things alone called him, meant something has happened.

Chester resolutely turned his head to look at the butler.

“You won Lizelle!” exclaimed Lapel as if he had been waiting. Lizelle also sang a joyous song into her  heart.

At that moment, Chester frowned.

Why did Lohan call him at this time? However, he erased the emotions showing his face. 2

“Excuse me for a moment,” he said calmly.

He pretended to be indifferent, but his insides were boiling.

“Yes. Sure,” said Werazel, with a relaxed face, with a smile of victory.

It was a winner-like attitude.

Chester turned around and left the drawing room with Lohan, as if he didn’t want to see her.

And that’s how their first meeting went.

Write it down!

“You won!”

“Yes, thanks to Lapel’s support.”

The two people looked at each other and laughed.

“Hehehehe,” Raphel smiled shyly, his cheeks reddened at the pleasant praise. 2

Werazel flopped down on the sofa.

My mind ‘was worn out’ in an unexpected fight.

She rubbed her hands around her eyes with her hands and decided to rest on the sofa with her back against the cushion.

In preparation for Round 2 when Chester comes back.

***

I couldn’t lose again next time. Duke Chester, coming out of the drawing room, stood in the hallway and stared at Lohan. 2

“What’s going on?” The harshness of his tone was telling how irritated he was.

If Lohan hadn’t called me, I could have beaten that lady, a fraudster and full of vanity.1

Chester who had a reputation for being cold-hearted, had lost his composure and was caught up in a childish fight.

Lohan was slightly embarrassed at the sight of his master being like this for the first time.

Until now, he was a resolute and nonsensical master who ignored the troublesome work and cut people off when they annoyed him.

I can’t believe you’re roaring because of one person. Not even a man, but a fragile woman.

It was a strange sight.

“I’m sorry. All the bottles of antidote are broken.”

“What?!”

Unlike Lohan, who spoke calmly, Chester frowned deeply.

“What nonsense is this?”

“The shelf suddenly collapsed. I’m sorry, we already placed an order, but since it’s difficult to get the ingredients, we can get them in a month.”

(T/N: cliché I know… but it has to happen)

The situation gave him a headache. Chester ran his hand through his hair roughly.

“Is there nothing left?”

“Yes, I’m sorry.”

I had to use the antidote to the child she brought to me right away.

It was necessary to reveal the details of the woman’s fraud at this meeting. But there’s no antidote.

Only with the antidote can one be charged with a crime.

At this, Chester sighed.

She even glares at him without avoiding his eyes, asking his intentions when she’s the fraudulent one.

Her impudence struck him. He feel like his senses would relax once he sees her imposing green eyes sway.

Otherwise, I don’t think I could fall asleep.1

But without the antidote, that fraud could not be uncovered. Unless she admit it herself.

From the manner of the woman, it was never likely that she would turn herself.

Everyone who deceived him before had long been humbled by clear evidence, but there was no other way to prove her guilt at this time.

“I can’t do it.”

Chester has decided to quit. It was annoying, but there was nothing he could do without an antidote.

“I’ll explain and send her back.”

Lohan stepped out first in fear that his master might fight her again. He must send the young miss back quickly.

It was a brief meeting, but the two are not compatible.

Like water and fire, both have a strong and unyielding personality.

“I’ll say it myself.”

However, Chester stopped Lohan from heading to the drawing room.

While Lohan hated it so much and wanted to ask why he’s going there himself, he quietly followed Chester with his mouth shut.

***

“Oh, why isn’t he coming?”

Werazel, who was left alone with Lapel, grumbled.

It seems like it’s been a while since he left, but the Duke has not yet returned.

It was clear that the impolite knight guarding the front gate resembled his owner.

With her arms crossed, Lizelle glanced discontentedly at the drawing room.

It was like the owner of the house because it was gorgeous.

“Ha, I’m crazy.”

I can’t believe I called that duke handsome.

Lizelle resisted the urge to rip off her hair.

If only I could turn back time, I would never say that. I would keep my mouth shut. What happened to my eyes for a while?

“When will we go back to our house?” 1

Lizelle’s head turned to Lapel’s question.

With his lips sticking out of boredom, Lapel was swinging his legs at sofa.

“Home?”

“Our house!”

It seemed that Lapel was mistaking her house for his own.

“I want to see grandpa!”

Lizelle was speechless and bit her lip. How would Lapel react if I told him he has to live here from now on?

I am already worried that my parents see Lapel as family.

“Excuse me.”

Just in time, the door to the drawing room opened and Chester stood in front of the Werazel with his long legs as he had when he first met her.

“Are you done with your business?”

She rose from her seat in a show of discontent. Chester could grasp her desire to get things done quickly from her attitude.

 “Yes, that’s right.”

“So what are you going to do now?”

“First of all, the antidote that must be administered to reveal the color of his hair and eyes will come in a month.”

Thinking there was no need to spin things around, Chester immediately said it straight to the point.

“Antidote?”

 “Yes.”

 “Why do you need it?”

Werazel stared at Chester, demanding an explanation.

Reveal the color of eyes and hair. Antidote? Was there such a thing? I couldn’t remember well because I read the first part of the novel so fast. Even if there is such a thing, is that the way he confirmed his blood back then?

The black hair and red eyes are the characteristics that a Halos only has in the empire.

“It’s common to change hair and eye color with magic.”

“Oh.”

Only then did Werazel understand why he asked me if she could prove it.

No, wait a minute.

Did you treat me the same as those scammers? Is that why you’re staring at me?

“Do you think I’m cheating the Duke right now?” Werazel revealed her disgruntled expression without hiding it.

I found his nephew, and he’s treating me like a con man rather than saying thank you. I am deeply offended.

“I don’t think there’s anything bad about being careful.”

“We’ve run out of antidotes to decipher the color of the child’s hair and eyes. I’m sorry miss, but please understand that this is a necessary procedure for us. “

Lohan, who was watching, breathed a sigh and added.
