Two months before the wedding.

“So if you borrow money, you have to pay it back!”

Crash.

A luxurious vase fell to the floor and broke in many pieces.

“Hey, hey! Didn’t I ask for a little more time?”

The baron made a voice of some harshness toward the bullies who had come to him, but it was no use.

They were sweeping all the money and goods they might have been willing to take into a sack.

“Look baron, for your title, I’ve given you an extension of the period. Do you have anymore to say? Huh?”

Werazel, watching the scene, had a wild thought.

‘You look like a real gangster with such a nasty face that I hate it.’

The well-groomed mansion was in a state of chaos in a flash because of these fleas.

Her eyes looked down to the dress she was wearing.

It was a dress she bought with a tremendous price from a boutique that she frequented.  A dress that looks expensive for everyone.

But in front of her, there was a father who was struggling with the ruffians because he could not pay back, and a mother who was crying next to him.

This sight is quite a spectacle. This was reality.

“That’s why you should have worked on your luxury.”

She muttered a little, but no one heard her in this mess.

“Give me a little more time. If you give me a little more time, I can pay back the money I borrowed,” said the pitiful and crying Baron Prosier pleading at them.

“I’ll take some of the money-worthy stuff as collateral, so I’ll give you two more months. If you don’t pay back by that time, I won’t just look at you then. I’ll take your daughter, too.”

The man looked at her from head to foot.

Werazel trembled under his uncomfortable glance. She had goosebumps all over her skin and her stomach was aching.

“What the hell is that!”

“So better pay me back the money.”

“All right.”

The baron has his tail between his legs. Standing next to him, the baroness held her husband’s arm tightly, as if her legs were weakened.

“Let’s go.”

In the reception room stood the family of three left devastated. Baron Prosier, his wife and the baron’s daughter, the Werazel Prosier, who created all these four months.

“I’m sorry, Lizelle. This father of yours has no shame,” said Baron, looking at the eyes of a daughter who was standing alone.

Werazel looked at her father, who had no idea what to do.

The baron flinched as she squatted.  “No, my father did it to save our family.”

The baron was moved to tears as when his daughter, who thought he was going to scold him comforted him.

My daughter, she was really mature now.

“Lizelle!”2

Werazel patted her father on the back while hugging him.

‘What’s wrong with you. It’s all because of Werazel.’

Werazel Prosier. After turning 20 this year, started enjoying all sorts of luxuries from the moment she entered the social world. Not only did she buy clothes and jewelry that didn’t fit her, she also purchased limited edition items, which was hard to find, and robbed her house of gold.

Baron Prosier, who cared for his one and only daughter so much, could not stop his daughter’s luxury. It was because of the parents’ desire to give her better and more expensive things.

As a result, the baron’s vault quickly ran out. Although not a high-ranking nobleman, the baron, who had enough money to eat and live, began to hit the rock bottom in no time.

When the employees’ salary was pushed back, the Baron belatedly realized something was wrong and borrowed money from the bank.

‘But that money was also used to play with Werazel’s luxuries.’

The Baron took a loan from the bank, and Werazel had luxury, and as this pattern continued to repeat, it reached the point where it was impossible to borrow any more.

The bank could no longer lend money to the Baron because he couldn’t pay back the money he had previously borrowed, but even so, Werazel didn’t care how the family’s economic situation turned.

She wandered in search of more expensive and valuable items than others, thinking that these would make her appearance even more beautiful and thus asking for money from her father.

Eventually, the baron got his hands on the loan shark business when he got stuck with a bank loan. As a result, today’s catastrophe took place.

“Lizelle! Don’t worry. I’ll never pass you over to the ruin!”

It could be said that her father was thinking his daughter was really touching.

She smiled and nodded.

“Yes. Father. Let’s work on this together.”

 “Lizelle… our daughter!”

Her face was stiffened with a nice smile, while being held in her father’s wide arms.

‘Wooo. There is no way. “

To be clear, it wasn’t a luxury that she has purchased directly, but a debt that was created by the luxury of the original owner of this body.

And damn it, it is me who has to tighten my belt.

The timing was amazing.1

Today was the week after she possessed the body Werazel.

‘This is enough to pay off the debt.’

I scanned the bags and accessories that filled the dressing room. The number of them was enormous when I opened the door.

So this is why the pillar of the house was pulled out.

Werazel clicked her tongue out and checked the resalable items. Some dresses were custom made and it was obvious that she wouldn’t get much money even if it was sold. Therefore, it would be better to resell various accessories such as bags and necklaces.

With these limited edition necklaces, earrings, and handbags, there will definitely be money.

“Merfin.”

“Did you call me Miss?”

Merfien, the butler, opened the door as if waiting for Werazel’s call.

“These, except for this, refund everything, if there is no refund, sell it back. There will always be someone who is interested in these.”

Werazel asked to sell the rest of the jewellery, except for the family ring that matched with her parents and the necklace with emeralds that she couldn’t take my eyes off from.

The necklace was a simple and monotonous design with a small emerald so even if it were sold again, it would not be very expensive.

‘I can leave at least one of these.’

I wanted to leave this necklace because I liked it since I first saw it.

Werazel put on her family ring on her ring finger and necklace around her neck just in case someone went through her things.

“Y-you mean all this?” Merfin made an incredible expression with his eyes wide open.

“Yes. There’s a lot, right? I’m sorry, but I’d appreciate your effort.”

“Oh, no, not that. Are you sure you’re alright, miss?”

Werazel stared at the old butler, Merfin. Merfin looked at her suspiciously of whether this girl was crazy.

She answered with a firm look, as if it were not a lie.

“Sell them because it’s really all right.”

The baron and the butler were both surprised because she changed her attitude in a week.

There was a novel that I read because I was bored. I fell asleep after reading the middle part of the book, and when I opened my eyes, I now possess the body of a supporting role that was not even a grain of sand in the novel. 2

Lady Werazel Prosier, who pulled out the pillars of her house* due to being luxurious.

*(It means, leading her family to ruin)

Only a few days ago did I realize that I now possess a supporting role in the novel because of her minimal exposure in the book.

In the middle of the novel, there was a story about the villain who bought the title with money. It was Baron Prosier who sold the title at that time.

So, in the end, the baron had no choice but to sell the title because of Werazel. Werazel was a charming woman who would be looked back at once by anyone passing by.

The rich and neat light brown hair and green eyes that resemble olives were fresh, and the red lips under the raised nose reminded people of a bunch of roses.

She always put investment in herself, and she had so smooth and white skin that even the falling dew could just slide through.

Originally, she was pretty, but her beauty beyond that was an effort cultivated with money.

“Hmm. Merfin, I’ve been with you for 20 years, and I’ve never been as serious as I am today.”

Merfin must have been moved, so he took a handkerchief and wiped around his eyes filled with tears. Werazel smiled awkwardly and quickly walked out of the room, leaving him with words of “please take good care of me.”

‘Merfin’s eyes glistened as if he would hold onto my hand at any moment,’ Werazel lamented.

I can’t believe this is the time when the creditors would cause trouble. According to the novel, Baron Prosier will soon be ruined, and his father will sell the title to the villain.

‘Then what about me? What happens to me? Isn’t this where the transition from being noble to a commoner status happens?’2

“No. Absolutely not.”

Werazel shook her head with a shiver. Regardless of what the story is about, or who the female and male characters are, it is a priority to raise money to anyone in South Korea.

“In two months, I might be dragged into the hands of a loan shark. My father, is absolutely incapable of doing anything using his power, so I have no choice but to roll up my arms and attach them to him.”

I didn’t want to live a life struggling with money anymore. Such an experience was enough for me in the past. This time, I wanted to get out of the difficult life.

“But where do I get that much money?”

Not a little more than 80 million shillings. She wandered aimlessly through the streets with a feeble step.

If I were originally Werazel, I would have been riding a carriage for a short distance, saying that dresses resemble each other.

Even that was not enough, she always carried extra shoes separated by outdoor and indoor use, saying that expensive shoes would be damaged, but I am different.

The bottom of the expensive dress was being dragged to the ground, but I didn’t care at all.

Calling a carriage, changing shoes… Rather than doing such annoying work, it was easier to walk on two feet.

I was walking thinking, “by the way, how can I raise money?” and the wind was blowing rather strongly.

Suddenly, a paper obscured her view, and the surprised Werazel screamed. She quickly removed the paper from her face with nervous hand movements.

“Wait… is this real?” Werazel, who earlier thought it was trash and crumpled the paper, quickly spread the paper upon seeing the word ‘shilling’.

Then she read the words written on a piece of paper.

“The Duke of Halos?”

In a moment, a sentence from the novel passes through the head of Werazel.

[The Duke of Halos, known as the nation’s richest man, struggled to find the lost child.]

“This is it.”

Werazel’s green eyes burned with enthusiasm. There was a smile on her red lips.
