I Hate Systems

Both Enbi Arin and Li Qiu were caught off guard by their sudden visitor.

"Umm, that is... How should I explain..."

While Li Qiu was fumbling around trying his best to explain and with the new visitor who also nodded his head in response in an earnest way, Enbi Arin secretly accessed the maps in her internet and saw the white line that was previously on the other side of the electronics section traverse all around the other area in a chaotic manner before eventually ending up in their area.

What caught her eye was an isolated fire exit along the white pathway which connected to their side which she might have missed while searching for any paths in all the mess with broken electronics, shelves, blood, and other bodily parts.

Enbi Arin sighed in relief when she knew she didn't have to expend extra effort to search for their new visitor.

She noticed the new guy to be around 160 centimetres in height with a wheatish skin complexion, probably not from Chinese origins and he looked a bit thin framed for his height with a naive look on his face.

On noting that the two of them were still fumbling around with each other about each and every change that occurred around them, Enbi Arin put a stop to their conversation before they hugged each other and start crying.

"Stop! Hold your horses for a second there, first, we'll begin by introducing ourselves, I am Enbi Arin and I'm 13 years old, this idiot's excuse for an uncle who claims to be 22 is Li Qiu..."

Li Qiu interjected instantly, "W-who are you calling...." But got cut-off mid sentence by Enbi Arin.

"So, what are you called then?" There was a small smile on her face which made the new guy blush a little.

"M-my name's Prakash and I'm 16" Prakash tilted his face towards Li Qiu as he couldn't maintain eye contact with Enbi Arin. (Sigh, young people going through puberty)

"How cute" Enbi Arin thought to herself as she noticed the shyness of the new guy.

Even though she looked a bit petite for her age, but she was beautiful enough with a small oval face, big clear eyes and long black hair that reached all the way to her h.i.p.s that further accentuated her beauty.

"Finally, someone who's normal unlike this uncle with weird tendencies," Enbi Arin thought to herself as she glared at Li Qiu.

Li Qiu flinched a little at her unexpected glare, "Ooi, why are you looking at me like that?"

"Ugh... Nothing" Enbi Arin rolled her eyes at Li Qiu and then once again faced Prakash "Out with your innate ability then,"

"Wasn't it your turn now" Li Qiu immediately interjected her since he felt that she might conveniently skip her turn to explain about her innate ability when Prakash asked a question which dumbfounded the both of them, "B-but, what are innate abilities that you speak of?"

Without any courtesy, Enbi Arin smacked Prakash's head as she began to explain everything to the new guy. She could somewhat infer that Prakash didn't lie based on two clues. First, his erratic path as depicted on the maps and second, mostly based on her instinct which she decided to trust for now and, it didn't seem as if Prakash was capable of acting out such an elaborate lie.

"Wait, so now I can access the internet from my head... Cool"

'Smack'

"Those golden glittery thingies were called Ari?"

'Smack'

"I have an innate ability, muhahaha...."

'Smack' 'Smack'.

"Ouch..." At present Prakash was clutching his head due to all the smacking he received from Enbi Arin.

"Sensing his core may take longer by himself, so help him uncle" Said Enbi Arin.

"And how am I supposed to do that?" Retorted Li Qiu.

"Use your Essence Sense damnit, ugh.... What will I do with you fools" Said Enbi Arin as she rubbed her forehead to ease her frustrations.

"Ugh... Fine"

Li Qiu grumbled as he activated his Essence Sense to look at the essence flows within Prakash.

His Aria core was just a star-shaped tattoo on his forehead which, after being informed by Li Qiu, helped Prakash to sense his Aria core within a few minutes.

Prakash, who became giddy with joy at the prospect of obtaining superpowers immediately revealed about his innate ability to the others without a single shred of hesitation.

<Moving nature>

"That's it?" Inquired Enbi Arin.

"Yep" Replied Prakash.

"Does that mean you can move any object, kinda like telekinesis?" Questioned Li Qiu in order to gain a better understanding of Prakash's innate ability.

The eyes of Prakash dimmed at that question, "No, my ability only works as long as I am in physical contact with the object, meaning, I myself have to move along with the object that I move using my ability"

At this moment, Prakash was on the verge of crying due to his despair as the only innate ability that he obtained ended up being useless.

"Don't lose hope Prakash, even if this innate ability of yours may be useless, we may be able to find a better one for you in the future, so have...."

'Smack' 'Smack'

"Ouch..."

"Eiyouch..."

"I knew you guys were a bunch of fools but seriously! You classified an innate ability to be useless without even thinking about trying different possibilities" Raged Enbi Arin.

"But it has way too many restrictions," Said Prakash, practically on the verge of tears.

Li Qiu remained silent because he failed to understand his unstable emotions.

First was that excessive pride when he faced with that parasite, then it was followed by a lack of will power when he tried to search for his friend David and, now, his lack of creativity. It seemed his unstable emotions degraded all of the skills and techniques he learned while being an international translator.

"Are you listening to me uncle?" Enbi Arin shouted near Li Qiu's ears as she noticed his muddled look which made him leap up in fright.

"Now that the both of you are clear headed, I'll start explaining the usefulness of Prakash's innate ability. The first factor to note is that he can move any object while touching it. That includes rotations, revolutions, vibrations, etc. Let's start with rotation, put your shoe on your Palm and see if you can rotate it"

Even though Prakash was unwilling to put his dirty shoe atop his palm, but seeing as how this may give him some hope with his innate ability, he obediently put a shoe on his Palm and willed it to rotate.

At first, the shoe shivered a little but immediately after, it started to rotate.

"Now Will it to rotate faster," As Enbi Erin told him, Prakash Willed it to rotate faster and the trio could even observe a blur that formed over the outline of the shoe due to the steady increase in its RPM.

"You can stop it now, and check your Aria expenditure" Said Enbi Arin and Prakash noted a decrease of only a single Aria.

"Now put your hands inside your shoe," Even thought Prakash was unwilling to put his hands inside a shoe, he obediently followed her instructions.

"Now relax your entire body and Will your shoe to move up" As Prakash tried to Will his shoe according to her statement, surprising him, the shoe moved up along with a raise of his hand.

"Now try to move in other directions" Prakash did as told and witnessed his shoe moving precisely in the way that he Willed it, the only drawback was the faint amount of pain that Prakash felt in his arm muscles since it also traversed the same path like the body of a snake that follows after its head.

"Now for the final experiment, Will your shoe to go two metres vertically above your head"

When Prakash Willed his shoe to go two metres above his head, initially the shoe went up without any efforts till the maximum length his hand could stretch, after which, Prakash noticed a massive expenditure of his Aria when his shoe started to pull his hand further upwards.

Prakash felt massive amounts of strain transmit from his hand which later stretched his entire body to its utmost limit, when suddenly, the pull exerted by the shoe upon his body stopped when it flew away from the hold of his hands as it reached a height of about 3-4 metres above him and then fell onto the head of the nearby Li Qiu.

Prakash stood confused for awhile and Li Qiu was busy rubbing his head as he tried to ease his pain when Enbi Arin clapped her hands and brought their attention back to her.

"Now I'll summarise the ways and methods on which Prakash's ability can be used:

"He could try to use plates or CDs and rotate them on his fingers to throw them as chakrams.

"Even though he can't constantly supply power to projectiles like telekinesis but it seems he can still provide some initial momentum.

"He can use that generated momentum to throw the projectiles at super fast speeds.

"And, by chance if he learns swordsmanship, all he needs to do is to think up his moves while his ability can execute them by holding a sword like a seasoned master.

"It comes with a weight limit and movement speed limit which I couldn't measure properly.

"When his weight limit increases to a sufficient level he could even use his ability on his clothes to fly, though it's only possible if they didn't snap, otherwise he could stand on a metal plate or a wooden plank to fly like the immortals of legends"

Once they heard Enbi Arin's detailed explanation, Li Qiu was amazed at her observational and thinking prowess while Prakash who felt as if a flame had been ignited within the darkness around as he hugged her and bawled like a kid and released all of his pent-up emotions which flooded out as his tears.

Like a chain reaction, Enbi Arin had also started to cry and even Li Qiu felt tears slowly form within his eyes.
