Chapter 290 - Firelight Elf

Elder Yi was extremely surprised, as well. He had assumed the Nine-Leaf Aurora was at most a Rank 5 Spirit Herb when he first got it. Moreover, Light Attribute metahumans have always been rare, there were only ten to be found in the entire C City, and they were all not very powerful. Elder Yi had never intended to give away the Nine-Leaf Aurora until he encountered Yang Tian.

Jiang Lie was about to approach Elder Yi to inquire, but Lei Xing aimed his Thunder Rifle at him when he tried to approach, the other metahuman soldiers were also looking at him with unfriendly gazes. Only when Jiang Lie moved out of the safety zone, did Lei Xing lower his weapon.

Lei Xing guarded Yang Tian the entire day, while the soldiers have to rotate and take shifts because of their injuries. However, no one attempted to disturb Yang Tian since.

When night came, Yang Tian’s glow did not display any signs of weakening and looked even more divine due to the night sky.

“Sizzle sizzle.”

As Venom was expelled from the body as well, it started to wriggle continuously on the ground after losing its host. The Dark Attribute of the three balls of light circling Yang Tian dived into Venom. Venom originally possessed both Light and Dark Attributes and could enhance both of Yang Tian’s Light and Dark Powers, but Yang Tian rarely used Venom since his overall power has reached a new height.

The Dark ball of light had set its sights on Venom and no longer circles around Yang Tian; eventually, it melded within Venom. The Light Attribute within Venom was also digested when the Dark ball of light entered Venom, leaving only the Dark Attribute.

Venom was currently emitting sizzling sounds, but its aura was also increasing. However, when compared to Yang Tian, the increase seemed insignificant.

By the time Venom stop emitting sounds, it also stopped moving and looked like a puddle of stale water on the ground.

The Wind and Earth Attributes continued to circle around Yang Tian, as though waiting for him to wake up.

Yang Tian’s glow became brighter and brighter, mixed within the light were traces of fiery red.

Only Yang Tian truly understood what was happening to his body!

Evolution

This was evolution, Yang Tian was evolving from a Null Elf into a Firelight Elf.

Firelight Elves were rare amongst the elven race, they are a combined form of Fire Elves and Light Elves. Amongst the Elven Race, elves with single attributes are generally stronger than others, but this did not include certain unique types, one of them is the Firelight Elf.

Fire can emit light, while light can also produce warmth, the two attributes have a synergistic effect on each other, causing the two attributes to become stronger instead of weaker.

When Yang Tian was about to complete his evolution, the glow his body was emitting was also starting to retract. Yang Tian turned back to his original look within a few minutes, but he was still not awake.

Yang Tian was currently like a piece of rock, there was not a trace of energy that could be detected coming from him. The difference between his current and previous state was too extreme, causing everyone to wonder what happened.

Lei Xing could not help but he looked at Yang Tian as well; everyone was focusing their attention on Yang Tian now.

Yang Tian slowly opened his eyes, hie golden irises emitted a white glow before it dissipated.

Yang Tian clasped his fist at Elder Yi when he woke up and said:

“Thank you, Elder Yi.”

The Light Energy Yang Tian was emitting would cause people to feel a sense of familiarity. When Elder Yi heard Yang Tian’s voice, he chuckled and replied.

“Just remember your promise.”

“Of course.”

Promising Elder Yi three things, that was Yang Tian’s promise.

Yang Tian slowly looked at all the injured soldiers that protected him, their injuries could not heal properly because they were assisting him. Yang Tian saved them because of his own benefits, but they repaid him with their sincerity. This caused Yang Tian’s frozen heart to suddenly understand something new about the post-apocalyptic era.

“Thank you all for what you did today.” Yang Tian expressed his gratitude towards the soldiers.

“No need, we might not be able to survive if not for your help.”

“That’s right, that’s right, you are too polite. This is the least we can do.”

The soldiers were genuinely happy for Yang Tian when they saw that he has woken, Yang Tian was their benefactor, they understand the principle of repaying kindness with gratitude.

The various organizations all scattered when they saw that Yang Tian had woken up. They have ill intentions towards Yang Tian earlier and did not know if Yang Tian was the vengeful type; especially when they had witnessed his fighting power before and knew that they could not defend against his vengeance if he decided to act on it. Leaving now might still give them a chance of being forgotten by Yang Tian.

“Boss, how are you feeling?”

“Rest assured.”

Yang Tian told Lei Xing not to worry, his current state was the best he ever felt. Mid Rank 4 Light Ability and Nine Light Attributes. However, Yang Tian currently could only wield two Light Attributes now.

Sacred and Slash

Sacred that possessed the greatest healing effect and Slash that has shocking destructiveness.

Yang Tian looked at the injured soldiers and knew that the healers were unable to completely heal them because of the frozen state they were in. However, Yang Tian would never treat the people who helped him miserably.

Sacred Light Shroud

Yang Tian emitted a golden light; the light was not piercing to the eye but felt warm, causing the soldiers to close their eyes to enjoy the feeling.

Sacred Light Shroud lasted for a minute, using it for one minute had consumed nearly half of his Light Power.

“My injuries… seems to be fine?”

“This… me as well!”

“That’s great!”

The injured soldiers looked at their healed injuries in shocked as they started stretching their bodies, confirming that they were as good as new. They looked at Yang Tian, no longer with gazes of gratitude but also with respect.

They wanted to thank Yang Tian using other means but was one by one thankfully rejected by Yang Tian. Everyone noticed that Yang Tian’s complexion has turned pale and knew that he had expended a large amount of energy earlier. They tactfully excuse themselves to allow Yang Tian to rest, making sure to remember this gratitude for another time.

After they left, Yang Tian looked at Venom, the Wind Attribute, and Earth Attribute balls of light.

Venom has merged with the Dark Attribute and was emitting Dark Energy, it was no longer purely Venom, and Yang Tian did not know to do with it as well.

After Yang Tian evolved to a Firelight Elf, he could no longer combine with the Dark Attribute Venom any longer as it would cause rejection. This would not strengthen him but weaken him instead.

Yang Tian requested for a container from Elder Yi and kept venom within it. Venom looked as though it was dead and not moving. However, the Dark Energy it was emitting told Yang Tian that it was not the case.
