On Cui Hu’s third day of his rut, a reminder would sound out every ten minutes. After three times, the residual medicine in Cui Hu from the inhibitor began to gradually fail, and his emotions and desires were gradually gaining the upper hand.

His throat felt dry, his eyes were red, his pheromones were emanating from his body, and he became more and more sensitive to omega pheromones.

He could clearly smell that an omega was emitting sweet pheromones within the same space, and the scent was wonderful. It smelled of cooked five cereals, which made him hungry in both his stomach and nether regions.

Even though Cui Hu’s hands were bound by anti-shear restraints, it couldn’t ease his agitation as a result of his rut. Some part of an alpha would turn into a beast whenever they entered their heat. Therefore, why would he even care if the pheromones he was smelling belonged to his cousin? He began to struggle with great effort, causing his body to hit the metal wall, making a loud bang.

“Cui QiChao! Cui QiChao!”

No response. At first, in order to imprison Cui QiChao, they built this place with the strongest material available. As he slammed himself against the wall, one cat sat high up and watched him with indifference.

Cui Hu’s feverish brain began to use all its might to deliberate over what was wrong with this situation. The problem was: why was his body burning with desire, while nothing happened to his little cousin at all??

This didn’t make sense. His little cousin didn’t even use any pheromone-masking agents. He could find sweet potatoes in this place, so it didn’t make sense that he couldn’t find any inhibitors. His pheromones had been floating in the air all this time. Cui Hu could smell it even until now. Did his little cousin tie himself up in a room where he can’t see?

But why did he seem to hear chopping sounds coming from a knife…

.

That was right. Cui QiChao was currently cutting a fish’s head in the kitchen. He had finished killing the fish and was in the process of cleaning it. He cut the fish head in half and then chopped it cleanly apart. He originally wanted to steam the fish head. For such a dish, it would be better to use the whole fish head, but this plump fish was too big. Hence, it was better to chop it.

What a big fish. He could make several meals with it.

After the fresh fat-headed fish was washed, it no longer had a fishy smell to it. This saved Cui QiChao from needing to add onions and ginger. He hadn’t found any onions and ginger. His entire supply of onions and ginger consisted of already processed ingredients and couldn’t be sown, so using some meant that his supply would be reduced.

Cui QiChao placed some fish onto a small plate, choosing parts of the fish that he didn’t season with salt or soy sauce. The unseasoned parts were for XiaoBai. He then kept the rest and went out with a plate of fish in one hand and sweet potatoes in the other.

The pheromones that smelt akin to the five cereals were now intertwined with the scent of meat and sweet potatoes. Cui Hu blacked out. So it wasn’t his illusion. Cui QiChao really was cooking.

Cui QiChao sat down and pushed the plate to XiaoBai. While he ate the sweet potatoes, he turned to Cui Hu. “Has Cousin’s strength always been so great, or is this under the influence of the estrus?”

The banging noises caused by Cui Hu hitting the wall were loud enough for him to hear them in the kitchen. Those who weren’t aware of what was happening might think it was a beast banging against the walls.

At such a close distance, Cui Hu stared at him, eyes growing redder, and his body struggled to move forward but often fell back because of the restraints on his hands. He puffed out mouthfuls of air and said, “No, impossible… Why are you alright?”

An alpha’s pheromone explosion naturally had a certain impact on omegas, but for someone whose estrus felt like nothing to him, such pheromones weren’t even sufficient to influence him to make a jagged cut on the fish.

Cui Hu’s pheromones smelt like fragrant oranges, and among alphas, this scent was considered relatively mellow. They only made Cui QiChao imagine 100 ways to plant orange trees.

The sweet potato was sweet, soft, and waxy. He cut it in half and ate it directly with a spoon. The fish meat also felt and tasted very delicate. Because the lake water was quite cold, the meat was more tender than the meat of ordinary fish. In particular, the small claws of the fat-headed fish were like tendons, but softer. They would snap after using more force to bite one apart. They had a strange taste too.

Of course, the scent of Cui QiChao’s pheromones smelled more attractive than the scent of sweet potato and fish.

Cui Hu’s five senses during this special period seemed to have grown more acute. Cui QiChao’s actions of cutting food and eating them progressed in slow motion in his eyes. From the act of separating the white and tender fish to Cui QiChao’s slender white fingers gripping the tableware, all exuded temptation to him.

“Give it to me… Give it to me!” Cui Hu screamed. He himself couldn’t tell what he exactly wanted from Cui QiChao. All parts of his body seemed to be starving.

He continued to shout, tears and snot on the verge of spilling out. An omega was close at hand but could not be obtained. It was driving him crazy. Amidst his angry roars were also some unconscious pleas. “Give it to me! Give it to me…”

Cui QiChao, on the other hand, had a pure heart and felt few desires, eating calmly with the cat.

If one isolated everything else and focused solely on Cui Hu’s appearance, Cui Hu seemed more like an omega than Cui QiChao.

The expression Cui QiChao put on was simply his usual expression. His hands were very stable, and his breathing rate had not changed. In contrast, Cui Hu’s entire face was red, and tears even started dripping down his face.

After finishing his meal, Cui QiChao methodically cleaned up the dishes and chopsticks, went out to help Cui Hu get an inhibitor, and swept away all the things inside the cabin. He regarded the whole aircraft as his own. Now that Cui Hu had arrived, he wouldn’t let Cui Hu go.

Cui QiChao stabbed the inhibitor into Cui Hu and injected its contents. Soon, he saw Cui Hu slowly calm down until his entire body lay paralyzed on the ground. If one were to use more euphemistic words to describe his appearance, they would just say he looked lethargic. But if one were to put it more bluntly, one would say that he looked like he overindulged in sex. Even though he didn’t obtain any sex.

Cui Hu’s expression appeared very ugly. He looked at Cui QiChao as though he was a monster.

He murmured, “How on earth… are you…” Then he realized he wouldn’t obtain any answers from Cui QiChao. Finally, he gave up and simply said…

“Hungry.”

Moments ago, he had already shamed himself and turned into an utter mess in front of Cui QiChao. What he had said to Cui QiChao about how hard it was for an omega to tide over their estrus was now like a humiliation to himself.

It was clearly him, an alpha, begging Cui QiChao just now. He really didn’t know what kind of life hacks Cui QiChao had used to help keep him in a calm state.

Cui QiChao let go of Cui Hu’s hand and gave him a bowl of fish head. “You can’t eat this for nothing. After you finish eating, help me dig a fish pond outside.”

The fat-headed fish tasted good. He decided to fish some and bring them back so that he could raise some. Of course, he had to dig a fish pond first. Based on Cui QiChao’s observations just now, this cousin of his had great strength. He would be good human labor.

The corners of Cui Hu’s mouth twitched. He placed the bowl on his knee and lightly held it with his injured hand. With one hand, he clipped the fish. He cunningly ate it all first before saying, “Fuck you. Do you think your injured elder brother can help you dig the fish pond?”

He was still a little depressed. Because even after eating, he still felt very dissatisfied. Cui QiChao’s pheromones were poisonous. How could they smell so delicious?

Cui QiChao glanced at him in surprise. “Are you going against your words?”

Cui Hu closed his eyes and didn’t speak. He felt too ashamed about his previous acts.

Cui QiChao stopped talking.

He went to tidy up the things on Cui Hu’s aircraft. Speaking of which, he thought this to be fate. Cui Hu’s cabin was equipped with some chemical fabrics with high extensibility, corrosion resistance, and low-temperature resistance, which may be used to cover his aircraft. Wasn’t this suitable for making impermeable cloth for Cui QiChao’s fish pond?

In addition, to Cui QiChao, Cui Hu’s entire aircraft was suitable to be converted into an agricultural machine for sowing seeds and insecticide in the air. He could also use it to transport water between the lake and the space station if there was a water shortage in the future.

Cui Hu was still tied up after eating. He couldn’t see what Cui QiChao was doing.

Around the same time the next day, it was time for Cui Hu to be jabbed with an inhibitor again. Cui QiChao opened his small box of inhibitors, flicked the body of a syringe with his fingers, and said faintly, “Cousin, wanna dig the fish pond?”

Cui Hu’s face changed and he said angrily, “A scholar can be killed but not humiliated. If I say I don’t want to dig, it means I don’t want to dig. If you have the ability, blow me up. Let me tell you: if it weren’t for you, even if you threw those inhibitors away, I’d still be fine. Do you think I’m the same as an omega?”

His tone showed his contempt toward omegas, as though alphas were the more advanced humans, while all the other genders were just beasts.

This attitude led him to be mocked 800 times by LJJ’s commentary barrage.

“How rude. Our family didn’t give me inhibitors and concealers,” Cui QiChao said.

With a glum expression, Cui Hu said, “So you found a different way to get through your estrus. Is it a new drug? It can inhibit the outbreak of pheromones, but it can’t hide the scent of it.”

Cui Hu assumed he had been injected with a new drug. Cui QiChao came up to Cui Hu and allowed Cui Hu to see the gland on his neck. It was clean and had no traces of an injection. He said indifferently, “Cousin, you can’t question others’ capabilities just because you can’t do it.”

“……” Cui Hu was already close to exploding in an outburst. When he smelled it from a close distance, the pheromones filled the air, and the strong scent of fragrant oranges filled the air. His anger and shame also surged up, causing his face to flush.

His next thought was: What do you mean by you can’t question others’ capabilities just because you can’t do it? It sounds like Cui QiChao is questioning my sexual prowess…

However, did Cui QiChao mean that he hadn’t taken or injected any drugs and yet he still didn’t waver after being exposed to an alpha’s pheromones?

The idea just flashed through his mind. Cui Hu found it to be ridiculous. That was impossible, absolutely impossible unless Cui QiChao’s glands had spoilt, and he could no longer smell other people’s pheromones.

Before he could deliberate more about this, Cui Hu once again experienced an upsurge of pheromones due to his rut.
