I Love Farming

Chapter 61.1

Ch61.1 - This Omega Is Out Of The Ordinary (Part One)

Editor: ASplashOfMusic

A young male alpha eats at least hundreds of kilograms of food a day. If he was in rut, he’d consume more. Cui QiChao had a thorough understanding of how much they ate during their special periods.

At present, Cui QiChao’s land was full of people. There was even an excess of manpower since he possessed agricultural machinery, which covered a significant percentage of the needed manpower.

However, one unchangeable fact was that Cui QiChao loved his people as though they were his descendants. The truth was, if this alpha came to their space station, he would only be wastefully consuming their winter grain reserves regardless of his degree of usefulness. But in the end, Cui QiChao would still forgive his citizens like a father to his children.

“Forget it.” Cui QiChao sighed softly. “Take the man back and treat him.”

“O-oh, okay.” To the interstellar serfs, the person’s identity as an alpha wasn’t a problem. Now, everyone knew that Cui QiChao wasn’t affected by alpha pheromones, so even if there were no pheromone masking agents and inhibitors, it wasn’t inconvenient to accept another alpha into their space station.

Everyone dragged the male alpha out of the life capsule and then moved the capsule to the space station to connect it with the treatment equipment, but the alpha didn’t wake up. They thought that man might have also suffered a mental blow, so they just left the life capsule there for the meantime.

Cui QiChao continued to supervise the people who were building the cellar. He had fine sand prepared and the bottom paved about 45 cm thick. He also installed a thermometer. However, he found that it was difficult to transmit signals underground from the cellar. Another problem they faced was how they should transmit the data after acquiring it. But it wasn’t as if they couldn’t solve this problem. Cui QiChao had asked some people to fix the system in the cellar, while he adjusted the system. This was to be able to monitor the cellar at any time and keep the cellar in the best storage state.

When it became dark outside, Cui QiChao left the cellar and went back to the space station, turning off the lights in passing.

As soon as the lights were turned off, the robots who were not working and just walking around also lined up and went back.

Cui QiChao went in and saw the alpha they rescued lying on the table. The space station was originally designed to house only one person so it didn’t have much room for everyone to rest. Observing his facial contours, this alpha had deep facial features and dark brown hair. He should be of Western descent. His coat was torn in many places and had been taken off, so he was only wearing a shirt and a pair of trousers. They stuck to his body, showing the outline of his muscles.

Cui Zhou gestured. “Bro Chao, look at his physique. He’s more than 1.9m tall.”

Cui QiChao’s face changed. “Wouldn’t this guy eat much more then?”

Everyone: “……”

Ah, Cui QiChao looked like he wanted to abandon this man…

Cui Zhou thought he shouldn’t have mentioned this. Thus, he changed the topic, saying, “Haha, he hasn’t woken up yet.”

Ever since they became stranded here, they seemed to have changed. They were kinder now. Or rather, they just wanted to pull more people into the ditch with them.

These were his thoughts as he touched XiaoBai’s chin.

XiaoBai seemed to understand what he was thinking and rubbed his hand in response. That was right. It was worth a lot.

At this time, the alpha, who was unconscious, frowned and opened his eyes slightly. He then put his hand on the table and tried to sit up.

Cui Zhou supported him. “You just woke up, dude. Are you alright?”

The man had woken up once before but soon fainted again. But with this, the man and Cui Zhou managed to take a look at each other. The man had a slight impression of Cui Zhou, but the current mix of several alpha and omega pheromones in the house caused him to feel very unpleasant.

“Who are you? This isn’t my place…” The man shook his head and sobered up. He could now distinguish the entangled pheromones.

“Didn’t you faint outside our house? Our boss decided to save you,” Cui Zhou said.

The man was thinking. The person supporting him was obviously a beta. Then there existed the scent of three alphas, two of which were very aggressive with the remaining one being a little calmer, and an omega. The omega’s scent was very special. It was the delicate and mild scent of the five cereals.

The male alpha followed the omega scent and saw an oriental-looking male omega. He subconsciously said, “Excuse me, can you give me some water?”

Usually, this kind of work was done by omegas. Considering the fact that he was saved by them, he spoke politely and acted in a restrained manner.

Cui QiChao slowly turned his face and looked at him.

Everyone else was shocked by this man’s words. Was this man crazy? Who was he looking at? He was asking Cui QiChao to pour him water to drink?

The man obviously didn’t realize that Cui QiChao was the boss Cui Zhou mentioned.

Just when they thought Cui QiChao would grow angry, Square, Round and Pythagoras lined up and came in. After the alpha appeared in their fields of vision, their blue lights flashed. They shouted in a joyful tone, “Master, you’re back! You didn’t give up on us all this time!”

The male alpha showed a relieved expression. “So the bunch of you are here. No wonder I landed here.”

Seeing his amiable acceptance of the words “give up on us all this time” showed that he should be their original owner.

The look in Cui QiChao’s eyes changed a little. Was he the original owner of the three robots? He originally thought they were  abandoned products, but outside of his expectations, the owner came back. He now felt much better about rescuing the alpha.

——If he was the master of Pythagoras and the other robots, then saving him would be a reward for the robots’ efforts.

“I picked up these robots from a deserted space station about 200 miles away,” Cui QiChao said slowly. “I haven’t modified their programs, but I borrowed the shell. They are here to help me out now. Since you’re their owner, you can rest assured and recover here.”

Pythagoras quickly shook his head. “Brother, don’t talk nonsense. I can’t help you. I can only listen to my master.”

Hearing Cui QiChao’s words, the man keenly noticed what was wrong at once. This was the tone that the boss should have. Was this omega the person in charge here? If so, that would explain why everyone’s faces changed a little when he asked him for water.

There are all kinds of people on the unmanned planet, but Brady hadn’t really seen an omega leader. Therefore, Cui QiChao aroused his interests.

“Thank you so much,” said the man tentatively. “My name is Brady. I personally designed Square and the other robots’ programs myself, so… When I landed, the landing apparatus automatically located the location of the robots through their programs. Looks like we’re rather fated to meet.”

“You’re welcome. I’m Cui QiChao.” Cui QiChao stood up. He wanted to give himself a pseudonym, but the robot had already heard their real names. “I’ll go prepare the food. Make yourself at home.”

Brady stared at Cui QiChao’s back. This was such a delicate situation. This omega held great authority over everyone and might even be the leader here, but he also dared to bow to his natural characteristics to cook and take care of everyone?

Brady was undoubtedly thinking too much. In Cui QiChao’s place, Cui QiChao cooking meant that he controlled the food supply. He controlled how much each person ate. Besides, the people here were all his cousins and in the same generation as him.

Cui Ting thought, “What the hell. Who the hell would say ‘it’s rather fated for us to meet’ to an omega they just met?” It was Cui Zhou who picked him up. Why didn’t he tell Cui Zhou that it was fate for them to meet too? She exchanged a look of tacit understanding with the others. Everyone was silent and decided to watch the show to the very end.

Although they couldn’t smell this alpha’s pheromones for the time being, based on the way he talked and carried himself that was unlike that of ordinary people, would this person be beaten into the soil by his little cousin, or would there be unexpected results?

.

Cui QiChao distributed the food to everyone. For Brady’s sake, he gave him more lettuce leaves.

Brady looked at the two leaves with a deeply meaningful look in his eyes. They were rare green vegetables… He gave Pythagoras a “do you know what this means” look.

Pythagoras: “??”

Pythagoras doesn’t understand!

“We’ll start killing fish tomorrow and turn them into smoked fish.” Cui QiChao arranged tomorrow’s work as they ate. “Cui Hu will fish up all the fish and clear the fish pond. There’s not enough salt at the moment. Cui Ting will fetch some salt…”

Everyone mellowly agreed.

This scene further confirmed what Brady was thinking. Cui QiChao really was the boss here, but Cui QiChao’s name also revealed that they shared the same surname. Brady asked, “Are you a family?”

“Yes.” There was nothing to hide about this.

Brady thought that even if they were all one family, why was the omega the master and the one who assigned work to each of the family members when there were alphas in the family?

This lifestyle reminded Brady of primitive society. At that time, because omegas had the ability to procreate, both alphas and betas obeyed the omegas’ orders.

Of course, much like the later feudal society, the senior omegas raised the young alphas and betas. They also received high respect for their contributions.

So from a normal point of view, Cui QiChao should be especially virtuous. This was why his brothers and sisters listened to him, right?

“…Square, Round, and Pythagoras will stop working and take care of their master. I’m afraid it will take him a few days to physically fully recover,” Cui QiChao lastly said to the three robots.

“Alright, alright,” said Pythagoras. “Hmm, since the beginning, I haven’t had a job to do anyway. If I don’t take care of my master, what else should I do?”

Everyone saw through the robot’s lies, but no one exposed it. They let the robots do as they pleased.

.

The next day, everyone did as Cui QiChao said. Cui Hu went to the fish pond. The fathead fish had grown to approximately the right size. Each fish weighed hundreds of kilograms. And so, they were dragged out of the pond and slaughtered. Cui QiChao stood next to them, guiding them on how to smoke the fish.

The robots helped their owner out and basked in the outside light, only to see this scene. Unfortunately, the lettuce had already been collected. Brady still thought Cui QiChao was taking special care of him.

Cui QiChao had a serious attitude as he took everyone to kill and smoke fish, overlooking the entire surroundings, pointing out every detail, and being very meticulous in his every deed. Soon, afternoon came. He went back to prepare the food, after which he asked everyone to stop, have a rest, and eat.

“Virtuous. He’s really virtuous,” Brady thought to himself.

At present, many progressive omegas were beginning to clamor. They wanted to be rid of the pampered life and stop being a mere fertility machine or sex tool. Brady had met some of such omegas. And as for Cui QiChao, he seemed to be obsessed with housework and even won everyone’s respect in this manner, rather than being treated like a domestic slave. From a certain perspective, he had done things that those omegas had yet to achieve.
