I Shall Be Happy

(MC's POV)

"Urghh... an unknown ceiling..."

Damn, I finally woke up from that nightmare. So it was true... The memories that I have been seeing was the real me. Before, I could only watch and hear things. But now, I can recall the exact feeling of each of those memories. It was excruciatingly painful to remember those depressing moments. Sigh* In a way, it was also a blessing. I don't know what I would have done if I retain all of those power while being so emotionally unstable. Worse, I might have killed Mikasa's family... my second family.

Speaking of Mikasa, I hope she doesn't see me as a monster. Living with her and her family for so long, I have been really attached to them.

Tears began to pour out of my eyes before I even realize it.

Damn it! Even if they see me as a monster, I won't resent them for that fact. I'm gonna repay them for all the help they have given me. Ahh... I swear... I, ATHANATOS, WILL OWE NO ONE. BE MY ENEMY AND I SHALL KILL. BE MY ALLY AND I WILL REWARD.

"THANA-KUN!!!"

Huh? Mikasa?

(Mikasa's Pov)

Thank goodness. I'm glad I made such a good decision to come to Dr. Yeager's house. But why is Thana-kun here? Why was he so bloody earlier. I thought he was almost dead. Strangely enough, there wasn't even a wound on his body. Was it not his blood? He was in so much pain though.

Opening the door, I see Thana-kun sitting on the bed while crying. My eyes are getting teary too.

Was he feeling guilty that he killed someone?

Don't be. I also killed someone. If it's anyone's fault, it's mine. If I was stronger, none of this would have happened. But if you feel guilty. Don't worry. Let both of us shoulder the burdens together. You won't be alone again... because I am here.

I lunged toward him as fast as I could with my arms wide open.

"Wait. Mikasa!"

"Baka. Why did you leave! I thought you ran away. Wahhhhhhh｡ﾟヽ(ﾟ´Д｀)ﾉﾟ｡

Ahh... I'm embarrassed. But hugging Thana-kun feels so good.

After that, I keep rubbing my face on his cheek.

He's getting embarrassed too, hehe XD.

It's alright. I'm always here with you.

With that thought, a warm current started to invade my body. It feels very comfortable. I started to hug him even further.

While Mikasa was hugging Athanatos's body, his train of thought went through a drastic change. If it was before, he would only think of her as his sister, but now... she was something more. She was something closer... She was... a precious person to him.

A lover?

'God, no way. She's only 8 for god sake. And I'm only mentally 13.' Athanatos thought while blood started to rush into his head, making him blushing in shame.

'ARGH! Who cares anymore. Hugging her feels so nice~~~(*´-｀*)'

"You guys done being lovebirds?" Then suddenly a voice came out from the door. The voice belonged to a young kid, about Athanatos' and Mikasa's age.

Then a fist came straight at boy's head

"Ouch. What are you doing!"

"You're not supposed to interrupt those kinds of moments." Someone behind him then reprimanded the young boy. She was a very beautiful middle-aged woman with a very kind face. It seemed that she understand what was happening between the two children. After all, she wasn't that different when she was younger.

"Leave them alone Eren. Hello Athanatos-kun. My name is Carla Yeager and this boy is my son, Eren

(　＾∇＾). He found you down at the alley right by the dumpster. Armin and he brought you here and not too long after, my husband, Grisha led Mikasa here. You have been asleep for 3 hours."

"Ah. Thank you, ma'am." The boy politely bow his head, looking grateful.

"You should thank Eren, it was he who found you, after all, haha ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ"

"Hmph..." The boy named Eren humphed and turning his head sideways, looking haughty.

"EREN! Be more respectful!"

The boy reluctantly turned to face Athanatos, seemingly dissatisfied with something... maybe he was jealous?

"Alright..." Athanatos uttered, definitely not having a good opinion of this boy named Eren. "Nice--to--meet--you--Eren. Thank-- you for bringing me here."

Athanatos spoke each word slowly as if he was emphasizing the fact that he wasn't fond of this boy.

'I don't care who you are. I don't what you do. You're f**ked the moment you interrupted my touching moment with Mikasa. You are now ranked first in the list of the 'top 10 people I will definitely not like" which I just created.

"Nice to meet you too. A-tha-na-tos--san." Eren said, feeling hostile toward Athanatos even more.

Meanwhile, Mikasa was feeling really embarassed by the hugging that they did earlier.
