I Shall Be Happy

(15 minutes before the fall]

After the boy, which I found his name was Marcel, suicided, I scared away the horde of titans away. I can't kill them all. There are like almost 200 titans around me. If I killed them all, who would kill the titans? Right? It would be weird if the Survey Corps come here and see no titan left. I'm not a Samaritan, nor would I ever be.

(A/N Samaritan means a good guy who does a lot of charity for free)

She seemed surprised by me speaking telepathically to her. It's been a while after all.

Man, I swear, her voice sounds like an angel.

I'm quite exhausted these past 40 minutes. After I undid the crystal transformation on Annie, I tried assessing her memories. It may be immoral to do so but I would be a hypocrite if I say such an action was wrong.

I learned quite a lot... much more than I expected.

(A/N God... It took me more than an hour to study a bunch of things from AOT. I'm dying. AOT is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more complicated than I thought. I stopped reading the manga so I just read the wiki, bc like Eren became a dumbass and Mikasa got abused physically. Imma beat Eren up even if the only thing I can do is to write. If I'm wrong about any of the facts... I'm even gonna bother changing it. Just take it as another parallel universe of AOT.)

The place I'm currently at is called Paradis Island, the last Eldian country. The island is extremely small compared to the rest of the world. Cool, but to be honest, I don't really care much. There are 4 people acting in this operation called Paradis Island Operation. Apparently, they wanted to take the power of the Founding Titan because of how powerful it is. It seemed her country, Marley was at odds with other countries due to their inferior technologies. So to remain as the world power, they decided to take the power of the Founding Titan for themselves, which will enable them to control all titans.

Enough of that...

I looked at Annie, who seemed to be deeply asleep. I'm not gonna lie, she's a beauty, on par with those valkyrie princesses in my past life. But even then... she's not even half as good as Mikasa. Her personality was somewhat similar to mine but that doesn't mean I like her at all. In fact, because I know her personality well, I feel a little repulsive toward her. She's selfish, cynical, and apathetic to life. I'm not blaming her. Anybody who goes through the same thing she did will also become similar to that. She was heavily indoctrinated but she's smart enough to not be loyal to the Marleyans. The only thing she's living for is to achieve her goal which is to return to her father.

Sigh*. She doesn't even know that her father is just an actor. Maybe because she was never exposed to true kindness that she turned out this way.

(A/N I'm changing up Annie's father just a little bit. In the canon, he was a c.u.n.t for trying to use Annie but in the end, he became apologetic and genuinely want to take care of her. I'm changing it this so that the apology he gave her was just an act to make her try harder at her job.)

And so... I did something a little bit unforgivable, releasing her potential. By releasing her potential, she will become significantly more powerful. If her original potential was only that of a strong person. Now, she can become physically as strong as an Ogre. She should be at least 50% as powerful as her Titan form. Now, why was this unforgivable? In fact, this is a blessing but by releasing her potential, her intelligence will also increase greatly. It's like she will become more enlightened, which will let her be more clear of her past. Sometimes, this can lead people to extreme depression due to the immense guilt or the suffering of their life

Without a doubt, now she will definitely be able to see through her father's deception. She may just kill herself because of the miserable experiences that she had through, but I won't interfere with that. It's up to her choice. I only gave her a push. But if she chose to stand on my way of happiness, I will still kill her...

(Annie's POV)

ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

A terrible headache is killing me! What is happening! Wasn't I crystalized? I wonder how long have passed since then...

Slowly, I open my eyes. The first thing I see was the figure of a tall man. He stood at 5ft 9 tall, and his appearance... a handsome man indeed. He was very lean but you can see the bulging muscles around his body. Men like him are very rare but most are either psychos or manipulative bastards.

He seemed quite harmless to me. WAIT? Did he decrystallized me? Then this means this guy isn't as harmless as he is seen.

"WHO ARE YOU!! WHERE AM I?"

(A/N I didn't read that far in the manga so I don't know. I'm assuming that Annie thought she was crystalized for quite a long time)

"Stay still miss. I'm just a normal traveler who was just passing by... You're in a forest within Wall Maria."

Is this guy an idiot? There's nothing special about you! I may not be able to lie well but when it comes to spotting lie, I'm the best in the field. But this...

I then observed my surrounding.

He said a forest. Did someone threw me here while I was in the crystal?

"What year is this?"

"It is the year 845."

"Wh-at?"

I awoke up from the crystal earlier than I thought.

"Tell me, where's is the nearest city?!"

"Calm down miss. It's just a few kilometers north of Shiganshina. Just walk straight this way and you will get there. Now you would excuse me, I would now leave."

Shiganshina? Did Reiner and Bertholdt fail the plan? GODDAMNIT!!

I tried to question more but decided to hesitate. He gives me a familiar feeling. I think I have seen him before. This man seemed very calm. Even though he doesn't radiate any strong aura, I don't think I can win against him. My instinct is telling that something about this man is special...

"Let's be on our own way now. Be careful on the road, young miss"

After undoing her crystal transformation, I brought her near the forest of Mikasa's house. Since I want to have a good impression of her, I changed my body a little. After she woke up, I tried my best to act like a normal a.d.u.l.t. With all of my preparation, there's no way she can see through me.

Considering that I am a genius, I think she bought my lie. Nobody in the previous world ever said that my acting was bad so I think the same is still applying in this world. Since now her awareness is very s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e, I suppressed all my power to make myself look innocent. I also change my body up a little to look like an innocent civilian. Even if she's a good lie detector, I'm confident to say that even Gods can't tell I'm lying. I'm a genius. Yup! Definitely!
