What is happening? Why is there a titan over the wall? It's over 50 meters you know? Then what is this...?

How did a boulder crash to this place? We're almost at the end of Shiganshina. This is impossible...

But why out of any place, my mom is the one to get hit.

Through a sheer coincidence, somehow, a boulder managed to reach this place.

Luckily, we were outside of the restaurant when it was crashed so nobody got hurt.

If she walked out just a few seconds faster, she would have been out of the restaurant.

After a moment of being dumbfounded. I despair. I turned to look at the source of the problem.

Holding my mom in my hand, with half of her lower body totally smashed. I wailed in despair, but within my eyes, there was also a deep look of determination.

I felt a part of my power was activated.

What?

I tried locating what happened and soon... I found it.

It was one of Mikasa's accessories, her scarf that I have given her last winter.

Fearing that something might have happened, I then witnessed what seemed to be the cause.

A 60 meters tall titan.

I knew who exactly it was... Bertholdt.

I can't actually believe that these two actually stick to the plan even if there are no titans invading.

Are these two actually this stupid???? There are no titans around, so it's not like they can search for the Founding Titan. Plus you're looking at the wrong spot. The Founding Titan is not even here.

F.u.c.k!!! I can't believe this is happening because I overestimated their intelligence.

But setting that thought aside, I immediately rushed toward Mikasa's location.

There's no way harm can befall her. The scarf will protect her in my place. Even if she doesn't have it on, the remnant of the protective power left can still last for a while.

Feeling relieved when I thought about this, my body relaxed.

She is still safe.

I immediately understood the situation.

There was a boulder that crashed into the restaurant that the group went. Or at least, it looked like it did. I can sense my power lingering on the boulder and within the atmosphere. Looking at the traces left, I deduct that the boulder was never meant to be sent flying toward the restaurant. It was supposed to land right next to Mikasa, but not to the point where it will kill her. It just a bit left of her spot, but my power was still activated since it felt that such an object that size can cause some damages to her.

The scarf, using my power, slightly pushed aside the flying boulder without anyone noticing. It was then shot straight toward the restaurant and somehow managed to kill Carla, Eren's mom.

Is this truly a coincidence? Or was she fated to die... After all, she was dead in the original timeline, which was the biggest cause for the Eren being such a bastard in the future.

Damn...

I then had a really good idea.

Activating the same soul spell that I used for Grisha, I search for Carla's soul.

She has 10 seconds left. That was expected.

She was too weak to have a powerful soul, unlike Grisha.

In her ethereal form, she was hugging Eren. I feel bad for Eren, he didn't even hear her last words.

I then heard something.

I felt pity for Eren and his mom. Even in her death, Carla didn't even bother to think about her own situation. She simply just resigned to her death and embraced her son.

Don't worry Carla. I will make sure he heard what you said, even if it was just an illusion. I hope you have a wonderful life in your next reincarnation.
