I Shall Be Happy

(3rd person's POV)

It had been more than half a year after Eren and Armin both decided to start their training under Athanatos. This decision that they have made, was something... that they have always regretted each night after their training.

They weren't exposed to any of Athanatos' secret, such as the time chamber or his overpowering abilities, but there was one thing that they knew, he wasn't normal.

On the first day of training, they were forced to do 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10k-run. It took Eren 6 hours to complete the entire thing, while Armin took almost 10 hours total. The two girls, although they didn't have to, also joined in with the training. This shocked Eren and Armin with how monstrous their strength was, even though they were only using 1% of their power. Overall, it only took Mikasa 12 minutes to complete the feat beating Annie by 20 seconds.

This continued for 3 months. All of this was just to make their body stronger, with the end result of Eren completing the entire feat in 2 hours and Armin 4. What was crazier was the end results for Mikasa and Annie were 7 minutes and 7 minutes 16 seconds respectively.

This baffled Eren for a while as he couldn't understand how they could get so strong in such an amount of time. Of course, he would never know as, after each day of training, the girl would go into the time chamber and go through a hellish training regimen. This boosted their strength to a level so high, that if anyone of them decided to take over a country, they wouldn't even break a sweat.

The last three months of training was then consisted of weight training, breathing exercise, meditation, etc. They were forced to wear a 100 kg suit, and then do the routines that they have always been doing the months before that. Then after the training, they will through a series of 'calming exercises', with the purpose of training their mind to become more mentally stable. This period of training was Armin's favorite time, and it was a breeze for him. Meanwhile, Eren struggles to stay calm for too long, which got him a beating from Athanatos once he started to misbehave.

Looking at the scene from the surface, all you would see is just a bunch of kid training together. But that's is if you're only looking at the surface. Deep behind the scene, something was happening... And it wasn't going to end well for some people.

(Nightfall, somewhere within Wall Sina)

"Alright, let's start the operation "Evil is Good."

"You should change that name..."

"Huh? Isn't it good? I mean it basically tells you what we're about to do."

"Sigh* You... forget it."

"Uhm..."

"You too Mikasa? What's wrong with the name?"

"It's nothing Thana-kun."

"That's what I thought. Let's go change things for the better."

And throughout the entire night, the three shadowy figures visited countless noblemen's estates. For each place, they would do the same thing all over again. The two cloaked girls would knock out all the guards, while the boy who was wearing the same outfit but with a demonic mask, would be in charge of changing all of their memories.

These unfortunate men, or maybe fortunately, had their personas converted into a completely different person. They all became more benevolent, unlike their previous personality, which was corrupted to the core.

There are many good reasons why the boy didn't just kill all of these people instead. The first reason is it would cause mass hysteria within the wall, which would create a lot of unnecessary problems. The second is that, even though these people are corrupted, their skills at managing others is almost honed to perfection. It would take an average of at least more than 10 years for a nobleman to know how to control an estate, manage his own business, or be involved in politics. So, if these people were killed, there would be a shortage of skilled noblemen to fill their gaps, which would be a huge problem for the citizens within the wall.

Now that they are converted, they are the perfect pawns for Athanatos to use. He will have total obedience and loyalty from the majority of the noblemen, allowing him to make any decisions he wanted without doing much himself. Of course, this would only happen when he would actually be interested in governing others, but looking at his personality, it would be nigh impossible for him to do so.

And thus, after just 2 days, the young troupe managed to complete all of their objectives, which included 90% of all noblemen within Wall Sina.

(Reiss' estate)

"Frieda... I know you're not a bad person, but you better make a decision quickly, or else I'm going to kill you and all of the Reiss family."

Frieda, who earlier, was just sleeping soundly, was now forced to be awake.

In front of her, there were 3 little figures that were dressed in a black cloak. The two figures in the back, which she could discern was female, while the one in front was a male, but his face was covered with a demon-like mask. Of course, their height was too short and from the voice of the boy, she could tell that they were actually quite young.

Yet, contrary to their appearance, they were very strong. None of her abilities even showed any sign of activation. She couldn't alter these people's memories, which unless you belonged to the Oriental race, or the Ackermann, should be able to work against all Subjects of Yimir. But she can tell that one of the girls didn't belong to such exception, which means her ability should at least work but it didn't. And when she tried to transform into her titan form, the connection that she had with Ymir Fritz was suddenly cut off, which essentially made her a normal human. No, she was even weaker than the average person.

"Why are you doing this?"

"To make the world better... but you're in the way. Now, are you going to alter the Reiss memories yourself or let me do it for you? You can pick neither and I will wipe out everything the Reiss had. Regardless, I'm going to take away your power. People are dying because of your cowardice."

"What's wrong with my decision?! I just wanted everyone to atone for our ancestor's sin, what's wrong with that?!"

Then the boy tilted his head a little. If one could see his expression right now, they would see a face full of disbelief and confusion.

"Are you serious...? For such a dumb f**king reason, you let hundreds of thousands died? Just to atone for the sin of some retards living thousands of years ago? If it's anyone, it's you guys! Don't blame others! Now you just pissed me off and wasted your last chance of living. Today will be the end of the Reiss family."

Then without any further words, the boy completely disintegrated her, and the entire mansion she resided. And within that mansion, 15 others died, including a man named was Rod Reiss, which in the original future, was responsible for many evil schemes and was almost responsible for a terrible destruction.
