Chapter 38: Kidnapped

After Qiu Tong left, the judge changed out of his clothes and headed straight to the guest room upstairs. With a smile on his cold and stern face, he said, “I’m sorry to have kept you waiting, Commander Shao.”

“No problem.”

Shao An narrowed his eyes and retracted his gaze from the court. He sent the video he had just taken to his boss and smirked.

His boss would definitely be pleased to see this.

After Jin Yang received the video, he looked at Qiu Tong, who was valiant and cool, neither timid nor overbearing. Every word she said made sense. A smile flashed across his eyes.

Having finally gotten rid of Yu Ge, that disgusting man, Qiu Tong was in a good mood and prepared to tell the three children the good news.

However, when she rushed to the kindergarten, she realized that most of the children had left. There was no sign of her three brats.

She stopped the teacher curiously. “Teacher, where’s my children?”

“The children left a long time ago.”

The teacher looked at her strangely and said hesitantly, “Little Yu said that you had something important to do today and couldn’t come. She requested for them to go home by themselves. The three children have been gone for nearly 40 minutes.”

But she did not see the three children on her way here.

Qiu Tong left the teacher in a hurry. She searched through all the parks and amusement centers nearby but could not find them.

The three children were young and mischievous, but they wouldn’t do such a thing. Did something happen?

With her heart thumping in anxiety, Qiu Tong immediately went into the nearest internet cafe and hacked into the surveillance cameras. She could vaguely see the three children leaving the kindergarten before disappearing without a trace.

Qiu Tong was unwilling to give up. She studied the surveillance footage for several hours, but to no avail.

Could it be that the three children had purposely travelled along the surveillance blind spots?

Unable to find any trace of the children, Qiu Tong rushed home with a sullen expression, wanting to see if the children had gone home on their own.

The moment she entered, she realized that the house was quiet.

Qiu Tong’s eyes darkened and she instinctively lightened her footsteps. Suddenly, she felt a gust of wind behind her. She turned around and dodged nimbly, grabbing the wooden stick that was swinging at her.

“Qiu Xingqiao?”

Qiu Xingqiao saw who it was and his eyes turned red. “Why are you back so late?”

“What’s going on?”

Qiu Tong squatted down and hugged him tightly. “Where are your siblings?”

“They…”

Qiu Xingqiao sniffed and said in a choked voice, “They were taken away by human traffickers!”

After Qiu Xingyuan and the rest left the kindergarten, they had just walked to the alley near the district when a large group of people suddenly rushed out from a van parked by the roadside. They gagged their mouths and dragged them towards the van.

Fortunately, Qiu Xingqiao had good stamina and could fight. He bit hard on those people’s hands and took advantage of their pain to break free and hurriedly escape.

The little fellow was in low spirits and felt very guilty. “I didn’t protect my siblings.”

“No, you did very well.”

Qiu Tong’s tone was gentle as she comforted Qiu Xingqiao. “You’re very smart and brave. If you hadn’t come back to tell me, Mommy would never have found you.”

“It is only because of you that your siblings have hope of finding their way home.”

Qiu Xingqiao, who was still upset about being a deserter, looked up and asked with a hint of uncertainty, “Really?”

Seeing Qiu Tong nod her head affirmatively, Qiu Xingqiao’s expression became better. He stared at Qiu Tong. “You must save them and beat up the bad guys!”

Qiu Tong did not say anything. She hooked his little finger with her own and said in a low voice, “If you have any problems, you have to seek out the police to help you.”

Qiu Xingqiao was already violent enough. She could not let him get used to solving problems with brute force.

Qiu Tong narrowed her eyes dangerously. Nevertheless, she could still beat those people up before she called the police.

Who would want to kidnap the three children?

They had no money and they had not offended anyone. Qiu Tong suspected that it might be Yu Ge, but then she soon dispelled that notion.

Not only was Yu Ge currently locked up in jail, his only goal was money. He would not attack the children.

Qiu Tong was deep in thought when she suddenly remembered someone else.

Lin Shan!

Previously, the former Qiu Tong was bewitched by her into selling the children. Lin Shan had even tried to set a trap to continue deceiving her into selling her children.

Other than her and that Mr. Cui, no one would target her three children!

Qiu Tong’s eyes turned cold. She immediately took a taxi to Lin Shan’s place and knocked on the door.

“Who is it?!”

An impatient voice came from inside. When she saw that it was Qiu Tong, Lin Shan’s expression changed and she instinctively wanted to close the door.

Qiu Tong kicked the door open and stormed in. She scanned the room but did not see the children.

Her cold gaze slowly shifted to Lin Shan. Qiu Tong’s tone was cold, and her eyes swirled with mad anger, as if filled with the aura of death and hell. “Where are my children?”
