I look at my parents and little sister with a smile on my face. It is time for me to do my duty as an heir to the Cunningham family.

"Mom. Dad. I will be going."

"Careful, okay?"

"Send us letter daily, okay?~ We will miss you!"

I wave at my parents and march out of the city. While we are marching out of the city, Julian says.

"Where are we going first, young master?"

"I think we should go south first. There are three villages to the south and one of them is your village."

"Oh! I think that is a good idea, young master."

"You only say that because you want to see your family, right?"

"No! Of course not! I want to see them but it is not the only reason why I think the south is the right choice."

"Hmmm, tell me the other reason."

"The southern area is filled with monsters and we can start there."

I nod my head. That is also what I think as well. There is a report saying a small void crack always appears every day in the south. We can go to the nearby watch fortress and use it for a week or so to train and fight the monster.

"Yes. We will stay in the southern watch fortress and use it to stay for a few days before we continue our patrol."

"Yes!"

We continue to march for fifteen minutes before I raise my hand, stopping our march. I can feel them; I can feel a movement from the forest to our right.

"Formation! To the right!"

At my command, the vanguard quickly forms a shield formation while the spearman and archer get ready for the incoming attack behind the shield wall. It only takes a few seconds before a group of goblins appears from the forest, charging at us.

The vanguard manages to hold the monster's charge, and the archer fires their arrow at the enemy while the spearmen thrust their spear at the enemy.

"Charge!"

I order the fighting unit to flank the enemy. I lead the one charging from the right, while Jullian leads the one charging from the left. After killing more than thirty goblins, I can feel another wave of goblins coming.

"Get back!"

The one in the front gets back to the formation and waits for another wave of monsters coming. After a few seconds, another wave of goblins comes and attacks the vanguard. With the shielder managing to hold their charges and the archer thinning their number, we, the fighter, kill the rest.

This happens for a couple more before there is nothing more.

"We will take a quick break here and burn all the corpses on the ground!"

My men nod their heads and quickly gather all the corpses and pile them together. After collecting all the piles, I quickly cast a spell on corpses.

"[Flare]"

[Flare] is a low-level fire spell that can be used by [Astrologian] to do damage. It was not powerful but valuable in the early game.

After doing that, I quickly take out my cards and throw them into the air.

"[Hellios]!"

This is a low-level group healing spell. I can see the wound my men have started to close up. Seeing them healed up, I nod my head and say.

"We will take a break for five minutes."

~Sometimes later~

Nothing is happening after the first encounter with the group of Goblins, and we are now arriving in front of the watch fortress. The gate opens when we get near the fortress, and I can see a group of soldiers there saluting me.

"Wind Watch Tower welcomes you, young master Gwyndolin."

I smile at the captain and say.

"Thank you, captain."

I then look at my men before saying.

"You guys dismissed me. You can build a tent for yourself and cook some food. We will share them."

"Yes, sir!"

I nod my head and look back at the captain.

"So, Captain. Tell me the situation around here."

"Of course, young master."

He then told me the situation in the area. The area is filled with monsters, and he and his men keep them at bay unless a new void crack appears behind the watch fortress. He then told me the situation in the fortress itself, and I must say, it was terrible.

Many people were injured in the fight against the monster from the Death Zone. However, it was better than before. Because of the potion I made, many people survive the injury they have. However, it was still bad.

While the captain showed me around the fortress, I could see a lot of civilians deciding to stay in this place. There are a lot of houses and shops inside this fortress. If we see it from the inside, it is more of a town than a fortress.

There are small farms inside the fortress to maintain the fortress in case it gets besieged by the monster or enemy from the south.

"That is all, young master. Ah! Your place will be at the biggest house in the deeper part of the fortress. Sadly, we did not have any servant that will serve you, young master. I hope it is okay."

"Don't worry about it. I can take care of myself. There are food ingredients inside, right?"

"Of course. When I hear you will come here, I will prepare a good amount of food inside."

"Thank you."

"Don't mention it. Do you want to go to take a rest immediately, or do you want to explore?"

"I want to see the injured. I can heal them."

For some reason, his smile gets bigger than before as he leads me to the sick house where the injured soldiers, stay and recover.

|Catharina von Xenotra - Heiress of Baron Xenotra|

Now everything makes sense! Bloody rotten nobles!

With the help of Jonathan, I managed to get enough information that let me know the reason why the south rebelled against the crown. The northern nobles leeched on the southern nobles. The north takes their food by poisoning their land. The north takes their healing capabilities, so they pay the north for their service, and now they plan to destroy the clinic and lobby the king to release another edict.

I'm lucky that the king is not as gullible as the previous king. The king rejects all the lobbyists and bribes the small northern nobles who band together to make a petition to ban clinics from the south.

What kind of people are they? Are they willing to kill many innocent people just to increase their profit?!

Damn you, White Lily! Why can't you write the reason why the south rebelled against the north? Is it because a sequel will tell the player about it? It sounds like a good plotline to follow. Even the DLC did not say anything about the reason why the south rebelled.

I can prevent the first arc of the story with this information. First thing first, I need to make sure the north did not do anything stupid to trigger the catalyst for the civil war. However, how can I do that? I'm just an heiress to a Baron.

I'm lucky enough that I was born into a world that did not really care about women and men inheriting the title, but it is still not enough. I need a higher noble ranking. Sadly, it was a hard thing to do.

You can only rise in noble rank in White Lily by completing each game arc. By the end of the main gameplay, excluding DLC, the player's family can only reach the rank of a count.

The player can become a queen or king, but it was AFTER the end of the third arc that the main character chose the prince and princess as their primary and only love interest.

I cannot go to that option as I already seduce Jonathan. I cannot become a Duchess because Jonathan is not the first son but rather the third son, which is a shame. I guess it was too broken if he is also the heir because I can access the military strength of the Verqur Duchy if he is the heir.

I shake my head and start thinking about how to protect the south from the stupid nobles.

Hmmm… I think I need to gather the bigger nobles and try to influence them to make sure the smaller nobles do not do anything stupid.

But how do I do that?

I had a single idea, but It was too troublesome to do. However, without this event, I cannot connect to the important heir in the kingdom.

"Tch. It looks like I really need to attend the Tea Party Event, the most expensive and most troublesome event in White Lily."

The event that requires me to buy the invitation letter and buy a gift that is so expensive, it can break a poorer house. I prefer to use the money for the military while playing the game, but I need to prevent the first arc at all costs.

If I can prevent this, I can have an easier arc two where I let the southern noble defend against the massive monster wave like they always do. Let Gwyndolin handle that mess.
