Chapter 2: The things that have piled up from the past are amazing, huh?

Posted on a certain internet image board.

[A crazy sick writer has come back lololol]

With that title.

“Hey have you seen this work?”

“Ahh, it was number 1 on the daily rankings on Nachaou, yeah? I haven’t read it yet though?”

“Dumbass, if you haven’t read it yet, read it now”

“Is it that good?”

“You don’t recognize the writer?”

“That Haru person? Is he famous?”

“You know about how there was a work called “Mission” 2 years ago?”

“Yeah! It’s that one that got absurdly popular, right?”

“It’s that one’s writer. You should seriously read it. It’s a god tier work that’s even better.”

“I read it just now lololol this work is crazy.”

“Isn’t it? Now you know why it got number 1 even though it’s only been up for 3 hours.”

“Ahh! This work is seriously crazy lololol”

“I really wanna see what happens next soon.”

They were talking about a certain writer’s work.

——————————————————

“Eh!? What’s with this number of comments!!??”

When I opened the writer page on Nachaou, the red letters saying “A comment has been written” entered my eyes.

And when I checked the comments section, there were around 100 comments written.

“ 20k views in 1 hour!? And there’s 10k good ratings… 1st in the daily rankings!?”

Normally, your first work would usually have 100 views at most.

My basis for that was that the work I posted in middle school only had 40 views when I first posted it.

This number of views has far surpassed what I expected.

“W,Well, for now, let’s take a look at the comments section.”

[It’s interesting!]

[I’ve been a fan since “Mission”!]

[A godly work has come!!]

“It’s the people who read my previous work. But even then, this amount of views is clearly weird. I don’t think my previous work had that many views either…”

I uploaded my first work on Nachaou in my first year of middle school.

It was my first work, so there were weird sentences and typos all over, but since I uploaded until I finished it, I was so happy that I kept it up.

Oh right. I haven’t checked “Mission”’s view count since I completed it.

“What, 100k bookmarks!? And there’s almost 500k ratings.”

It got this popular in around 2 years… I didn’t know.

“I was surprised, but this makes me happy.”

That I have this many fans.

And, even though I was gone for a while, they still read my work, it really makes me happy.

“Nn? Something arrived from the management.”

It was an offer for a novelisation.

And it was from a certain company.

“ehhhhh!?”

Isn’t it too fast?

Even though I just uploaded the 1st chapter!?

“An offer from a major company came as well”

An email from a famous major company about novelisation came as well.

“Wait, [Mission] also got an email offer about novelisation!”

There was an unanswered email from 2 years ago just left there(apparently).

“I never opened it so I didn’t know.”

With that said, even though I left a bad impression, the fact that they sent me a new email made me happy.

Furthermore, it was a major company.

“Let’s send them a reply. Let’s see… [Thank you very much for the email. About the novelisation, I would like to proceed with it.]. Is this fine?”

Sent.

After 3 minutes…

*Ping!*

“That was fast!?”

A reply has already come back.

[Thank you very much for the reply. In line with the previous email, we will email you about the novelisation on another day.]

The fact that my novel is getting novelised, feels even more real now.

“Rather than email, meeting up directly might be better.”

[Um, would it be fine for me to head there instead? Fortunately, it is not that far from my home.]

My parents are currently on a business trip overseas, so I’m alone at home right now.

It would be a good change of pace as well.

Whoops, stop thinking about Hiiragi-san.

[Thank you very much. Please come at your own convenience.]

Ohh, this means I can come over whenever I want, right?

Well then, let’s quickly head over tomorrow then.

“All right, since I’ve decided on my plans for tomorrow… let’s make a twitter account.”

Since I’m getting a novelisation, as expected I should make a twitter account.

Looking at famous people tweeting daily, made me quite jealous.

“Alright, is this fine?”

The name will be the same as on Nachaou, Haru, my description will be… [I upload novels on Nachaou], should be fine.

I set a link that goes to my novel, and then…

“My profile picture should be fine if I set it later. For the time being, what should I do for my first tweet?”

After thinking about it for a few minutes, [I started a twitter account. Please take care of me.] is what I tweeted.

“With that done, I should write that I started a twitter on the afterword of my scheduled release.”

I properly wrote the link down and placed it on my scheduled release. The fact that it will automatically upload for me is very convenient.

I uploaded at 2am in the morning yesterday, so around 12pm should be fine.

Since I was done with my upload, I opened twitter and had tens of notifications.

[You really suck at lying.]

[It’s even a default profile pic, are you a beginner lololol.]

[I’m bored of this, reported.]

“Eh? What is this?”

A bunch of hate comments filled my replies.

“Leaving the profile picture blank was bad, huh. Well it’s fine, it’s still the beginning after all.”

And being told hateful things by people who aren’t in front of me, doesn’t scare me at all.

Isn’t this just the same as Hiiragi-san?

Since she isn’t facing me directly, she can just send all those messages without caring.

“That’s right. Because it’s through a message, she could do something like a confession. I’m sure it’s like that.”

Since I didn’t want to remember something terrible, I made up my own interpretation.

I scheduled a tweet saying “the second chapter has been posted” and then threw my phone on the bed.

“Let’s go eat”

My stomach started growling, so I went to get lunch.

Without noticing my phone vibrating incessantly.
