I still couldn't believe what had happened at school a few days ago.

Since then, because of Dante and his brothers every single person at school treated me with respect, fear in the depths of their eyes. People were even scared to bounce into me, some wouldn't even look me in the eye.

It's been like that every single day since then. Now it was Friday evening and Dante's parents were preparing us for the trip that was set to start from tonight.

The honeymoon.

"Is that everything?" Dante's mother asked him.

I glanced at the suitcases on the ground, everything in there had been picked out by his sister. I was afraid to see what kind of sleepwear was in there after what they'd done with my wardrobe.

"Yes mom," he responded grabbing the keys from his brother's outstretched hand. "Is the boat ready for us?"

"Everything is already set up." Hugo said, walking in. "We sent out a few bodyguards, just in case anything happens."

What exactly did he mean by that? Was there something they weren't telling me?

"I still don't think this is a good time to be going anywhere," Dante told his parents. "We still haven't figured out who our new enemy is."

Kevlar took the cigarette out his mouth, his eyes dark and cold. "Where have I ever been afraid of any threats? Furthermore, when have you ever been? I've trained all of you to be fearless."

Dante's jaw clenched. "I'm not worried about myself, Kyomi isn't trained for our kind of lifestyle."

"That's what the bodyguards are there for." His father responded. "Besides, no one would dear try to harm my son at one of our private islands. Anyone who does that is a psychopath. Everything should run smoothly. This honeymoon is happening, no matter what."

What were these people talking about? Did this have something to do with why Dante hadn't been home every night for the past few days? I'd tried to get more answers out of his sisters but neither one of them would tell me anything. But it also seemed like they had no idea what was going on either.

Something didn't seem right, I'd never seen Dante this worked up over anything before. He was always so laid back . . . But he hasn't exactly been like that ever since we had gotten married.

That reminder only seemed to bring back all of the anger and hurt I'd felt after learning of his betrayal. I had thought he had feelings for me and actually wanted me but it was all just some sick plan.

Now I was stuck in this family where guns and killing seemed to be a norm.

Will I ever get used to this?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dante gripped me by my waist and took me down from the boat, my eyes slowly evaluated my surroundings. It was dark and so I couldn't exactly see much, there were so much trees and vegetation all around us. . . preventing me from seeing anything.
"You're really not going to speak to me for the entire trip?" he asked. "We're stuck here for a few days Kyomi, I think you should at least try and hear me out now."
I pressed my lips into a tight line. "I would appreciate it if you keep to yourself for the entire trip. Both of us have no business talking to each other. I've said that multiple times before, what do you not understand about that?"
Dante rubbed his face with his hand, his eyes seemed tired and worn out. I bit my lips, angry that even now I wished that I could wipe that look out his face and make him smile, the smile I loved to see on him.
He turned his attention to the eight bodyguards in front of us. "Three of you stay here, if you see anything weird alert us immediately." He ordered. "The rest of you, you'll guard around the house."
They nodded their heads and did as he asked.
Dante took my hand in his, my skin immediately heated up at his touch. "What are you doing?" I demanded while trying to pull my hand away.
"It's dark and you're not accustomed here," he explained. "I'll let go as soon as we reach the house."
I let out a deep sigh and followed him through the tiny trace, the wet grass l.i.c.k.i.n.g at my legs and arms as we passed through.
I hated to admit it but he had a point, if I had to walk through here by myself, I'd already have fallen on my b.u.t.t.
After what felt like hours I finally saw a light amidst the dark island. We were almost there.
I was not prepared for the beautiful house that came into view. It was all white on the outside, with random pools and jacuzzis everywhere. In fact, if I didn't watch where I was walking, I would surely fall into the water. The lighting was beautiful, it was bright and exactly what one would need in this secluded are.
My eyes travelled to Dante's hand still wrapped around mine. "You can let go now."
He quietly did as I asked and rubbed the back of his neck. "You can go get settled inside, choose any of the rooms you want to stay in." He informed me. "I'll have a little talk with the guards and then come join you."
Did he just say come join me?
Did Dante really think that I would be staying in the same room with him here as well? Back at his home, I had absolutely no choice because of his family. But if he thought I was going to allow that same nonsense here he could surely think again.
It wasn't happening.
There was no use starting an argument in front of the guards however, I would wait until he comes inside.
I looked around for the suitcases and saw that it was already placed inside. The interior of the house was incredibly beautiful, I loved the blue cushions against the white couches.
I opened the suitcase and started digging for a change of clothes. I frowned, emptying it completely out.
What the hell was this?
There wasn't a single normal outfit here, everything just happened to be lingerie and swimsuits.
Oh God!
Why did they keep doing this to me! Like my life wasn't embarrassing enough!
