The two then walk out took the horses and rode head straight to city M. The man who was meditating stand up from his position and watch as the two leave.

As soon as old woman Hale saw the silhouette of her granddaughter she dash out from the room running..leaving his husband lying on the bed asleep, she shout "Alys' name"

"my dear, how are you?."

"What took you so long"

"where did you go?"

"are you hurt?, please tell grandma..."

worried sick her trembling hands hold Alys' hands and drag her inside the house to examine.

"grandma.."

she hold her grandmothers hand tightly in return "im fine, don't worry"

she smiled perfecting her disguise to divert her grandmothers current predicament.

I don't want for my grandma to know the mess i made in the city due to my violence. Not even i would have thought that i will be as cruel as to put a judgement to a man in a public place under the watch of numerous people.

"are you sure?."

"i remember you saying about collecting a debt, did it go well?" furrowing her brows she look into the little girls eye only to find her granddaughters eyes as still as a water.

Aly smiled and nod "how is grandpa?"

"he is fine now, he broke his arm perhaps he tried to cover his face from the mans brute strength."

"i see, grandpa is strong so he will be just fine. Lets not worry about it too much"

"have you eaten grandma?. Im quite starving" she laugh and said in a most gentle manner reassuring her grandmother that she is fine.

"oh, i actually didn't eat due to what happened but well, help me get some food and let us eat now." Looking at the back of her granddaughter she thought to herself. "is the debt she was referring to is that brute?.

Sometimes im too worried to see her this calm despite the problem we just face. I don't want her to be m.a.t.u.r.ed at her young age. I don't want any bad experience to be the reason for her change..."

"no grandma, you just sit over there and wait for the food to come. I shall serve us tonight" pointing at the chair on the table

"no buts.. im not letting you" Aly said mischievously

Watching as her granddaughter prepare the food, sighing "what a naughtily child"

Laughing Aly said "i can hear you grandma..."

The old woman then chuckled. As Aly was taking her time preparing, the old woman stand up and took a small box from the wooden cabinet. The box is obviously shining brown with red ribbon on top of it., if one try to test its quality, it would be a top notch. Placing the box at her l.a.p, the old woman chose to surprise the girl as soon as she sit down across her.

"grandma...sorry for the wait" Aly holding a tray with different dishes..

"hmm...it smell great" old woman said as Aly rolled her eyes

"of course, its you who cook this grandma.. how about you let me cook next time?. I would like you to be the witness of my great cooking skill"

"no.." "ok! When you're old enough"

"how about at least once a week?" "grandma please? Or else i will forget how to cook before i even reach the age where you will allow me to cook"

The old woman only laugh, her lips making serene curves.. enjoying her granddaughters expressions. Only this time around can Aly be a normal youth.

"inhaling and then exhaling..ok" narrowing her eyes, looking at the girl sweetly she said "but just once a week ok?"

warm welled up inside her heart, with joy she jump and cling to her grandma like a cute little Kuala bear..nuzzling her nose to her grandmas c.h.e.s.t "thank you grandma!.."

"oh by the way, i have something for you"

"hmm?" she doesn't know what her grandma was talking about.

Taking out the wooden box, Aly took it and with her twinkling eyes she said "this.."

"what is this for grandma?"

"Happy sixteenth birthday my dear" astonished, Aly hug the box close to her heart and kiss her grandmas cheeks.."

"thank you grandma but.."

"don't tell me you don't remember your own birthday?"

"no.."

Its not like that grandma. Its just that ever since my parents death i have not been celebrating my birthday so..

If you suddenly give me a gift as precious as this.. i.. i don't know what to say."

" hmm" she look up and do the things her grandma want because she really want to do it right now..

"thank you so much grandma" she blushed.. a tint of red appearing on her cheeks as it became redder and redder reaching the end of hear ears.

I have been quite crying in front of grandma a lot lately, didn't i?

Looking at how the little girl look she said "owww my little darling..",

The old woman laugh and said "but im an old woman heh!...you're welcome". She said to her self, you have change compared to how you are the years before..but now.. your are more humane.
