I Was Reborn To Be The Evil Queen

It was not easy to make a solid proof plan. I had to think again and again so that it won't backfire at me. At first I thought that I should ask Timothy to let me sleep with Alex. I can make an excuse that he is having nightmares and it made him scared to sleep alone. But that's a lame idea.

After thinking for a while I got another plan and I processed with this one. Unlike other days, I made some tea for Timothy. When we had our dinner, I brought some tea with me. Normally no one would drink tea after having dinner.

That's why, I told Timothy that I want to discuss something about a book which I found at royal library. It was just an excuse.

He agreed to help me to sort out the issue. Meanwhile I put some sleeping pills in his tea cup. He was very much focused into the book which made my work easier. Besides that I kept on blabbering to make it look like I'm really interested into talking with him and spending more time.

After taking few sips of the tea, he fell asleep like a log.

It was around midnight. Everyone else was sleeping soundly except four of us. The knights are all around the royal palace guarding it from any intruders. Still the atmosphere was very quite.

Keeping this detail in my mind, I had arranged the meeting spot to gather four of us, when no one would be there. The night time was perfect to kick start my next plan gracefully.

" Did anyone see you?" Putting off the robe, I revealed my face in the dim light.

" No, your highness." Three of them said in a low voice. We were standing near the cold palace where Eleanor is staying currently.

" Good. Now let me explain the situation to Anna. As you can see, Lily is here, right in front of you,alive. I knew that Eleanor will attempt to kill her that's why I already informed sir Joseph to help Lily escape the prison and fake her own death."

" But when did this happen?" With curiosity Anna asked me.

" Yesterday when I left the palace to see lady Kathryn, I wrote a letter for sir Joseph explaining my plan at her house. Lady Kathryn is my friend so I didn't had any reason to hide it from her. I gave the letter to sir Joseph at her house and made sure no one saw us together." I could have talked with sir Joseph but there are so many eyes spying on me.

Talking would take much time so I wrote everything on the paper and told him to burn it after reading the letter.

This way no one can suspect me doing something unusual. As long I stay away from sir Joseph, no one will find a connection to us.

People are only suspecting Eleanor but if they knew about her other companions, things would be different. On the other hand, I have to keep all the information to myself and pretend that I know nothing. I can't let her walk one step ahead of me.

" You did all this in such short time? I was not aware of it, your highness." Anna becomes calm after hearing the truth. She seems less stressed than before. The reason I brought her here with me was to enlighten her mood.

" After receiving my letter sir Joseph arranged a body, similar to Lily. He helped her to free from prison and later Lily put her clothes on that dead body. The head had to be removed in order to trick everyone. Thus my plan was successful, only the half."

" Then what about rest?"

" We are getting to that part. Lily remove the robe." When she removed the robe, a bloody Lily appeared. Yes, by bloody I mean she was covered in fake blood. The fake blood is actually red paint.

Her whole exterior was all roughened up as if she was a dead body. If we are talking about a ghost makeup then she really did a great job.

We don't have any proper makeup products like twenty first century. From where I came, it's a child's play for makeup artists to give real life horror transformation.

" Oh dear!" Seeing her like that Anna got startled and jumped up a little from her spot. She probably thought that it's a ghost.

" Lily is going to be our little ghost. She will scare Eleanor which will cause some mental damage. Anyway we have to be quick. Sir Joseph?"

" Yes?"

"You brought that thing?"

" Yes, my lady." Sir Joseph handed me the little pot.

" This thing will leave a smoke when it's fired. The smoke will make people dizzy. Make sure not to inhale it." The little pot which was filled with a substance that can make someone faint, like chloroform. It will be placed near Eleanor's room. Lily will stand few meters away which will help her to avoid the smoke. The smoke is not harmful although if Lily faints before Eleanor, we will be in trouble.

Ghosts can't faint, right?

" Your highness, I'm so grateful to you for saving my life. I know I have done horrible things to you yet you are helping me on my crisis. You did all these to protect me from my former mistress. One day, I shall surely repay your kindness."

" Listen honey, I'm only doing this for myself. I should have let you die since you helped my so called enemy—— Eleanor to harm me in many ways. But now look, the one you served all these years, she is trying to eliminate you for her own profit. Your life has no value to her. Although I'm also doing the same.

Nothing comes free so, don't take my kindness for granted. You can see, I have changed. I will help you to stay alive as long you follow my orders. If you wanna backstab me then go ahead. I won't think twice before taking your life. Make sure you repay my kindness." I replied boldly with arrogance, dominating their presence. They need to know that I'm the boss. If they don't follow my order I won't let them escape from my wrath.

I may look like a saint, a holy angel but that's just completely wrong. I haven't told Lily that the person who tried to kill her that day was none other than sir Joseph. She still believes that it was Eleanor as the assassin told her. To be honest, I don't care about Lily. Even if she dies I won't mind at all. She's a criminal and she deserves it. I'm only manipulating her for my own benefit.

I don't feel guilty either since Eleanor did the same. That bitch, she used Timothy and everyone to ruin my life with her filthy manipulation.

" I will, your highness." Bowing her head down, Lily replied.

" Great. Then let's proceed with the plan. We can't delay it any longer." Sir Joseph went to the entrance of Eleanor's bed chamber. He placed the pot near the door carefully. Lily was also ready at her place. Sir Joseph knocks on the door meanwhile Anna and me took a shelter to hide ourselves.

After few knocks, Eleanor opened the door with a lamp in her hand. The place was completely dark so it's hard to see everything clearly.

" Who's there?" She asked while looking around the area, moving her head from left to right few times.

" Is anyone here?" She started to walk further to the direction where Lily was waiting for her. No one is here as it's the cold palace. The maids don't live here after the dinner. They went back to their rooms. Another advantage for me to make my plan a great success.

I'm just smiling and grinning like a sinister evil person. I can't hold my laughter for long.

" W-w-who... w-who's there?" As soon Eleanor saw the deadly figure of Lily, her body begun to shiver. She was shuttering. Her throat was dry with the fear.

" My lady, how can you forget me?" Lily said with a heavy voice. " How can you kill me, my lady?" Lily started to move her foot slowly, walking at Eleanor.

" G-Get away from me!" Eleanor screams frantically.

" My lady, why did you betray me?" Lily is good with her acting. I'm really proud of her.

" D-d-d-don't.... d-don't come... d-don't come c-closer." She looks like she's gonna peed her pants. As Lily was slowly walking at Eleanor's direction, they were almost close to the entrance of the door.

The lamp fell from her hand and it got darker. Me and Anna couldn't see anything from our hidden spot. Soon we heard a noise as if someone's body dropped on the floor with thud.

It got quite. A dead silence. Looks like Eleanor fainted on that spot.

" Your highness?" A meek voice called for me. It was Lily. She somehow managed to come here in spite of the darkness.

" Good job Lily. Let's go back now. Where's sir Joseph?"

" I'm here, my lady." He replied in a low voice so that no one can hear it even if they were here.

" You took that pot with you?" I didn't wanna keep any evidence which will cause trouble for me.

" Yes. It's with me."

" Great. Let's go back to our chambers. And Lily, sir Joseph will help you to flee. After today, We won't be seeing each other. You'll be safe where sir Joseph is taking you. I'm gonna need your help in future. Therefore I'll be counting on you."

" Thank you, your highness." With that our adventurous night ended.
