Looking at the detached arm in front of me, I tried to see if I could somehow move my fingers, however, no matter how much I tried it I couldn't even get it to twitch.

When I closed my eyes, I tried to see if I could sense the presence of my arm, but In the end I was unable to sense a thing. It was like my arm was a separate entity with no relation to me at all. Yet, how could that be possible? There must have been some sort of relation, if there wasn't, then why would my arm only regenerate when it was completely destroyed?

Is it related to mana then? My blood serves as fuel for Yueliang and can be converted to mana which would allow her to use a powerful magic which she intends to use to break her seal, but where does this endless supply of energy come from to begin with?

If I think of my blood as gas and mana as the conversion of that gas to electricity, then shouldn't conservation of energy still hold true? It can't really be possible that I'm an endless supply of mana, right? Every source of energy is finite, so where do I derive the seemingly endless supply of energy required to fuel the immortal object ability I was bestowed with?

"Is it from the surroundings?"

"It's from the plane in which gods reside."

A familiar voice I didn't expect to hear abruptly rang out from behind me while she threw formalities out the window to push me down and pin me to the ground.

"As compensation for answering your question I'll be taking double today. I've been wondering how it would taste in this position.

I heard her lick her lips before she plunged her fangs into the back of my right shoulder. While she straddled on top my back, she s.u.c.k.e.d away until the last drop of blood had disappeared from my body.

She lifted her head back and the immortal object message appeared in front of me as usual. That was when I realized, wouldn't it be best if I used this chance as training to understand my ability?

Was it just a coincidence she showed up right now for her meal, or was she trying to provide me with an opportunity? She'll definitely never answer me honestly if I asked her.

At this point I decided to not resist her and I let her have her way. I closed my eyes again and started to focus on the feeling when the blood in my body regenerated. It was honestly a strange feeling, it didn't hurt at all whenever it regenerated, rather it always felt strangely pleasurable like the insides of my body was being cleansed somehow.

As time went on she continued to drain my blood and I slowly started to notice a difference. The blood that regenerated, although nearly unnoticeable, it definitely felt as though it was filled with more vitality. I could only vaguely feel it was a smidge purer than before and the concentration of mana that could be converted from it had grown, although the degree to which it changed was almost insignificant from just being drained of my blood only once.

I was somehow benefitting from her s.u.c.k.i.n.g me dry repeatedly. Just to be clear, it was definitely not in a s.e.x.u.a.l way. Although I can't deny that my thoughts were led astray at times due to the l.e.w.d nature of the act whenever her c.h.e.s.t pressed against me from behind while eating her fill.

"Yueliang, what is the meaning of this?"

"Oh? So you've finally noticed?"

"Yes I have."

"Your ability as an immortal seems to share a connection to my immortal bloodline. It seems to be on the same level as my bloodline which once existed in the plane of gods. I don't know much more about my bloodline aside from that as my parents were unable to pass down any information to me. But it seems my ability to drain your blood will aid in strengthening your ability as an immortal in the long run."

"Why are you suddenly being so cooperative and telling me about this now?"

"Hmmp! Don't get c.o.c.ky, it was just a passing whim of mine, nothing more. Also, I'm just having a meal, if eating more makes the meal taste better, then why wouldn't I eat as much as I can?"

When she said that she crushed my head and vanished as abruptly as she first appeared.

She's really hard to wrap my head around.

During that feeding session of hers, I did manage to touch on a strange sensation albeit only slightly. I'm not talking about the sensation of her c.h.e.s.t on my back though. It was the feeling of power flowing into my from somewhere unknown to me. Rather than simply mana, it felt like something a level above it. I wasn't certain, but it felt like something combined with mana to form a higher level energy.

I focused to see if I could sense the same sensation from my detached arm, luckily after some time passed I realized within my perception it was actually there. It was very faint and vague, but it definitely existed. Was this form of energy something that originated from what she called the plane in which gods reside?

After some time, I managed to discern there was actually a very fine flow of energy connecting between my arm and body. I postulated it was likely thanks to this connection that my arm would not grow back.

If my theory was correct, if I were to sever this connection one of two things could happen. I'd either lose the arm for good or it would very likely trigger my arm to regenerate. I was more inclined towards the latter outcome.

I started to practice and attempted to manipulate the energy I could just vaguely sense. I focused the energy into the tip of my thumb and index finger on the arm attached to my body. I could somehow feel the energy as though it were rotating in between my fingers like a flat disk.

I used my thumb and index finger to pinch at the fine string like energy connecting my body and detached arm. The moment I squeezed down the string snapped in two pieces.

Right before my eyes the arm which was once there disintegrated into nothingness and an immortal object message appeared in front of me.

I could feel the energy flow back from my detached arm and reform itself to create a new arm.

I was astounded by it all and grew more intrigued. Is there a way I can manipulate it to explode to create a form of an attack as well? Or better yet, what about controlling my hand remotely to create Thing from a certain family named the Addams? Wouldn't that be super cool?

How do I do either of those things though? Would it be possible if the string was bulkier or thicker and I had better control over it? Actually, is it possible to create multiple hands? What if I could get my arm to regrow while keeping the connection to my detached arm? Wouldn't I become an unstoppable Asura?

However, all these ideas sound like they would be pretty high level and require a lot of energy, much more than what I presently have. How do I increase the abundance of this energy?

It seems like having Yueliang suck my blood is one method I can use to purify and make the energy I presently have stronger, but is there a way to increase the quantity of that energy I can host within my body? If my body was like a bottle then it naturally has a capacity it can house within it. Would just leveling up in this world work? What about destroying my body a few hundreds of thousands of times? Maybe that would allow me to create a sturdier container that could withstand higher pressures of that energy. Well, I've got all the time in the world to figure it out.

I'm not really in a rush to get stronger or anything. I can just take things at my own pace and slowly work my way through the dungeon. Like she said it's going to be about a year before she's able to break the seal after all.

Ah, I almost forgot what I worked so hard for. I focused once again and looked above me and I found a small string connecting between my head and the ceiling above. I pinched the string and the connection severed like earlier with my arm. Another immortal object message appeared and my head suddenly felt heavier than before signaling my plan worked out successfully.

After my great success I forgot all about the bunny and gleefully went on my way to practice manipulating the newfound energy I'd discovered.
