A little girl walked out from the corner. She looked to be about 6 years of age. Trembling, she walked closer to Shawn and said in a shaky voice, "Yes, Daddy?"

"Daddy?" I asked, quizzically.

Shawn spun around. "Yes?"

"Bitch, what is it with you and your Daddy kink?"

Shawn smirked. "Would you rather you be Mommy?"

"Mommy!" the little girl, Delilah, said.

"That's right, Lilah, that's your mommy," he said, pointing at me.

I glared at Shawn. "Excuse me, what bitch?!"

He covered Delilah's ears and said, "Shh, watch your profanity in front of your daughter."

I could just feel myself explode inside. Who the hell does Shawn think he is? This little girl is innocent! Why would she even be here?

"She is NOT MY DAUGHTER!" I screamed at him. He gave me sort of a twisted smile and came super close to me. He chuckled a little under his breath.

"If you don't like her," he said, "why don't we have a child of our own." He gave out a l.u.s.tful growl and attacked my jaw, leaving wet sloppy kisses all over my neck.

"Ugh!" I exclaimed, shoving him back. "You're so sick!"

He let out a sort of huff. "I did not kidnap this girl just for you to hate her. Now, she is me and your daughter."

I felt myself freeze. Kidnap? But why?

And as if he could hear my thoughts, said, "She's how may I say this… a special girl. One unlike any other," he said, a smug grin on his face. He spun around on his heel and added, "Lunch will be in 30 minutes. You should change into something a little more appropriate."

As soon as he left the room, I felt small arms wrap around my waist. I looked down to see Delilah clinging to me.

Tears glistened brightly in her eyes as she said, "Please, don't let the man hurt me. He said he would put me with all the other misbehaving kids if I didn't address him as my dad."

I shushed her. "Don't worry, Delilah, I won't let him hurt an innocent child."

I felt her small body tense and stiffen against me. I could hardly hear her voice, it was so quiet. "I'm not innocent anymore."

"Wha--" I started, when I noticed Shawn watching us from the corner.

"I-uh-need to go change. I'll be back down soon."

Shawn, Delilah, and I had all finished eating. At first I had reluctantly taken a couple of bites, grimacing at how sweet it was. I never was one to like sweets, but by now I was starving from not eating for 3 days. Once we were done, Shawn told me and Delilah to head to the family room and get better acquaintance to each other.

I felt more than awkward sitting in that room with a kidnapped little girl.

"I hear voices."

I looked up at the usually quiet child, her face looking down, shamefully. "What did you say?"

Delilah let out a little huff of air. "If you think I'm crazy, that's okay. Everyone does anyways. But I can hear voices. It starts off soft, like a whisper. And through time, it starts yelling, screaming for help. I wish I could do something, anything, to make it stop.

"If only… she didn't leave." Delilah said, everything rushing out as if she was afraid to stop.

I scrambled to my feet. "W-What did you just say?"

Delilah sighed and looked away. "It doesn't matter. If we're gonna be stuck here, we might as well learn each other's names."

I stared at the strange little child, a quizzical look on my face. "Baekla. My name is Baekla. Did you say you can hear voices? What voices?"

Her big blue eyes met mine. They looked a little distinctive, as if she had no real hold on life. Her blonde bangs fell lightly across her forehead. "I...uh… they're people who have already passed. The ones that don't have a clear enough mind to fully cross over." She looked up at me, a mischievous smile on her face. "You know, sometimes I can even see them. But of course there's a specific ritual that must be done."

I got up and looked around the room, thoroughly, trying to find my bag. I finally did, it being hidden underneath a table. I pulled out a wooden board.

"Is it something like this?"

Delilah's eyes got wide when she looked at the board. "You have one? But that means… you see them too."
