“There’s no way a tamer has that sort of power! What are you, a [Fighter]? A [Martial Artist]?”

Stop shouting, we’ll be heard…

“We can discuss further once this whole ordeal finishes. For now, I’ll leave it to you to guide me to the king’s place.”

He looks at me suspiciously, but says “This way.” to guide me.

“Can we trust him, that dwarf?”

“We’re stuck if we don’t trust him anyway.”

Ril seems a little unconvinced but follows me.

“By the way, were things fine on your end?”

“I felt something malicious so I ran away. I went outside first, so they might still be searching outside for me.”

Nicely done Ril. Let’s get ready to be in battle then.

First is getting a few more dwarfs on our side.

“Is there anyone else that you think would side with us?”

“Don’t worry, there are others also caught by Sir Dorf who are of equal strength to me.”

Equal to you… well, to be honest that’s not very reassuring.

“What are their occupations?”

“There’s a [Magician]. But he’s grown old so his movements are slow. Another one is working as a spy right now for the Anbu (assassination unit). The rest are his subordinates.”

Old… I guess it might be better to be older and wiser though because he’s a magician? And the rest are the… Anbu?

“Can we trust the Anbu?”

“Of course. There’s no one more trustworthy than them.”

Well, if that’s the case it’s fine.

He holds his breath and points his finger.

“There at that corner is the confinement unit that Sir Dwar is imprisoned in.”

I see how many enemies there are with my [Strengthened Senses].

…Two heartbeats.

“Ril, is two the correct number of enemies?”

“You’ve got it, Ryu.”

“Then let’s go get them together. Don’t kill them though, it’ll be annoying to deal with later on.”

“That’s difficult in its own right.”

…Then what about the dwarf?

“Are you able to move fast?”

“No, I’m not that fast.”

Ok, both are useless.

Now that I think about it the dwarf’s a [Knight]. He can’t even fight without a weapon, can he.

Then I’ll do it myself. It’s not like the enemies are strong.

“I’ll go alone then, so wait a moment. I’ll finish it quickly.”

The dwarf tries to tell me something, but I ignore him. Let’s make it quick.

I use my [Strengthened Physical Abilities] to get close immediately and make sure I punch the right part of their bodies with my [Strengthened Senses]. I also use my [Sixth Sense] just in case.

All that’s left to do now is to punch their faces.

Punching their heads, they collide and butt heads with each other, fainting.

“I finished, come quickly.”

When I called them over, Ril came quickly.

The dwarf, on the other hand, doesn’t come to my calling, so I guess I’ll just do the rest without him.

With a little bit of knocking, I can tell the iron walls are thick. It’s not possible for me to break it with my bare hands.

“Ril, bring out the fang.”

“You’re going to slice the wall?”

“It’ll be easy if I use the fang, no?”

“I can do it for you.”

Nooope. I’m scared you’d slice the king along with it.”

Ril puffed her cheeks out in protest but brought out the fang anyway.

As I gave her my thanks and patted her head, she swung her tail energetically.

I cut up the door easily.

Ahead of the broken door, there lies a single dwarf.

He seems a little leaner than his brother, but his eyes are sharper.

“You’re the dwarf king Sir Dwar, yes?”

“…Who are you?”
“Pleasure to meet you, I’m Ryu. I’m just a tamer.”
