Daiyu knelt in front of Liu Jin and inspected the part where the teacup had hit him. She frowned.

"It's starting to bruise." She worried.

"I'll be fine." He said but Daiyu still escorted him onto the couch.

"Wait for me here. I'll go get some medicine. Mian Mian, stay with Jin-gege, okay?"

"Awu!"

"Good boy!" She smiled and ruffled his head.

She then left the room.

Liu Jin sat on the couch and stared at Mian Mian. He patted the space next to him and Mian Mian hopped onto the couch.

"Grow up big and strong. And protect Xiao Yu just like you did today."

"Awu!"

Tang Yun arrived home to find the mansion abuzz.

"What happened?" He asked a maid.

The maid then proceeded to recount the events that transpired while he was away.

He chuckled, already imagining Daiyu's angry face.
