I'll Tell You Every Day

Chapter 28: Chapter 28

Lately, Liu Jin had been taking a lot of pictures of Daiyu. He wanted to capture every moment of her growth, not wanting to miss even a single second. That's why when the event organizers wanted to create a picture slideshow for Daiyu's birthday, Liu Jin proudly showed them the photos he took.

"Oh my! These pictures are so pure!" The woman commented as she examined the photos.

"Pure? This guy's thoughts are anything but pure!" Zhihao butted in.

"Shut up!" Liu Jin smacked the back of Zhihao's head.

The pictures were nothing extraordinary. In fact, they were very plain. But that was what made them so beautiful. They captured Daiyu's everyday life from when she happily played in the garden, when she drew, when she animatedly chatted with her grandfather, and even when she excitedly greeted Liu Jin each time he came home from school. The photos felt warm and full of life.

"Can I use these pictures, Young Master Liu?"

Liu Jin nodded. He was really proud of those!

Inside the same room they were in, Daiyu was having her dresses fitted. They had prepared six gowns for her to change into for her birthday party. All of them had bell sleeves, puffy skirts, and generous embroidery.

"Jin-gege!" Daiyu ran towards him excitedly. She then did a little twirl, showing off her beautiful sparkling dress.

"You look beautiful, Xiao Yu."

Daiyu's eyes widened with excitement.

"Really?"

Liu Jin nodded with a smile.

"Hehe!" Daiyu giggled and covered her mouth with her little hands. Her Jin-gege called her beautiful!

"I bet he'd find you even more beautiful nake OUCH!"

Liu Jin jabbed Zhihao's rib with his elbow.

"Go on and try your other dresses, Xiao Yu. We'll wait for you here."

"Owkay!" Daiyu nodded and trotted off.

Liu Jin then turned his head and glared at Zhihao who was still rubbing the sore spot by his chest.

"Oh!" Zhihao's eyes widened.

"What now?"

"I forgot to tell you. I saw her name on the guest list."

"Really?" Liu Jin's eyes widened.

Zhihao nodded.

"I wasn't invited to Daiyu's birthday in the past, so I didn't know she attended it."

" Are you ready?"

"Well." He sighed. "It's not like she'll remember."

Liu Jin slapped his back lightly.

"You should be thankful that she doesn't remember. Use this chance wisely. Don't don't be a psycho anymore." Liu Jin cringed.

"I'm not a psycho!" Zhihao gritted his teeth.

"Whatever." Liu Jin turned his back and began walking away.

Zhihao sighed and looked down.

"Stop dawdling. Hurry up or I won't help you plan things properly."

Zhihao looked at him and grinned.

"You're so sweet, Jin! I knew it! You really love me!"

"Shut up!"

for visiting.

For the next two weeks, the entire Wang Mansion was busy preparing for Daiyu's birthday party. It was going to be held at the Horton hotel, a seven-star hotel where a night's stay costs an average family's entire yearly income. The main theme of the party was Snow White and the decorations used the colors gold, pink, and white.

The hall was decorated to look like an enchanted forest with large synthetic cherry blossom trees in full bloom and artificial grass carpeting the floors. The glass tables were generously decorated with pink and white flowers and the chairs were wrapped in flowering vines. The ceiling was strewn with glass string lights and a large crystal candle chandelier hung at the center.

Several stuffed toy animals such as deers, rabbits, and doves decorated the hall. Daiyu wanted to add the bear that her Zhihao-gege had talked about. You know, the one that ate humans. But Butler Tang would not have it. What if it traumatized the other children?!

Instead of preparing a long program for the party, they opted for one that focused on socializing instead. As such, there was a cocktail bar for the adults and an ice cream and milkshake bar for the children.

Butler Tang meticulously prepared the guest list and only invited children from affluent families. The invitations sent out came with a rose gold apple music box with a large red velvet ribbon and had instructed that children should come in any fairy tale costume they wanted.

Wang Jing also prepared his own guest list. He invited several important adults ranging from wealthy businessmen, to government officials, to military officers.

When the guests received their invitations, many of them were quickly interested. This was because after the tragic death of the Wang couple and the disappearance of their only daughter, no further news came from the Wangs. After remaining in silence for so long, the Wangs were finally returning to the limelight with their long-lost granddaughter.

Of course, not all guests had pure intentions. Seeing how Wang Jing was willing to spend millions on a mere six-year-old child, it was obvious that he doted on her. The smart ones caught on quickly and thought that it was best to have their children curry the child's favor early on.

Soon, the long awaited day had arrived. It was finally the day of Daiyu's birthday party.
