Illuminating Your Way

Janus came back from his business. He was about to sit when the door was suddenly opened wide.

The first person that entered was someone he knew, Amrita. Following after him were two persons. One of them was the other brother, Kalaraja and next to him was Astrea. He wondered how those three ended up together.

"Welcome. What are you guys doing together?"

"Did you know that your teachers were illegally growing a Golden Apple's tree?" said Kalaraja.

"Ha!? No. I had no idea. Who did this?"

"Gwenael Silvius. He also used this one here to help him." he pointed at Astrea.

"I only thought I was just growing a simple apple tree." replied Astrea looking dejected.

"We need you to look for who procured the seed and information to Gwenael. How did he manage to steal something from the underworld without us noticing."

"Okay. Let me get someone to call him."

Janus then sent a message. In a few minutes, he received a reply. He frowned and raised his head to the three.

"It seems he never came back since the last few hours."

"Ohoh! Seems like he knew we would look for him. He isn't a simple man."

"Let's look at the world crossing archive. He must have used one of the gates to leave."

"No trace. He must have stayed in Arcadia or someone helped him to make a spacial tunnel for him."

"Sigh, everything is getting complicated. We aren't going to resolve it quickly. Ms. Elysium, you should go back."

"Oh. Okay. Goodbye then."

Astrea stood up from her seat and left the three gods to resolve this case.

When she got out, it was night. As she was about to walk to her dorm, a car stopped in front of her. The window opened to let her see Hammond on the driver seat.

"Good evening Astrea."

"Oh. Hello Hammond. What are you doing?"

"The Chairman told me to bring you back. Please, take a seat."

"I see. Thank you."

She sat on the passenger seat beside Hammond. He started the car.

"How was your day?"

"Everything was fine until I have been kidnapped and discovered the friend I made recently was actually using me for his scheme."

"I am sorry to hear that."

"It's nothing. It's not very different from earth. Someone befriending you and they expect something out of it."

"..."

"Sorry. I'm killing the mood... And you, how was your day?"

"I just got back from a business trip in another world with the chairman. Oh yes, we brought you a souvenir!"

"What is it?"

"I don't have it on me. It's in the office. It's something in trend right now. A lot of people are satisfied with it. You will know soon!"

"Now I'm really curious."

"Hehe!"

The two talked about everything and nothing. The time quickly passed and they arrived at the mansion. She returned to her room after reassuring Cecilia. It was a tiresome day. After hitting the bed, she immediately fell asleep.

A few weeks have passed. Not a lot happened. Cecilia got confessed 32 times, her students were still suffering under her various training. The only info they had about Gwenael Silvius was that he had a lot of contact in the city but they all quickly left after he disappeared. They managed to catch someone and discovered they were part of an organization know as Kaos.

Kaos was the most wanted organization in the universe. They caused the death of many deities as they only believe in one unique god, the Progenitor Kaos. They believe the other gods are disgraceful and didn't live up to the expectation of their Lord, so they need to be punished. But killing gods isn't their main goal. Their ultimate wish is to bring back to life Kaos to rectify all the problem in the universe. However, they need to kill ¾ of the universe population.

How do they know the number? There once was a war between the Gods and Demons. They caused so much death that the Progenitor woke up and punished the two sides. They exactly killed ¾ of the population.

When Astrea thought back to her conversation with Gwenael, she didn't have the impression he hated gods. But they also didn't have a deep conversation about it.

She brought it to the back of her mind and concentrated to the reunion. They had to prepare for the inter-schools tournament that will happen in March.

It's a competition between the overall first ten schools. Arcadia Academy was 8th so they also participated. In the previous one, they ended up last. She thought they would end up higher.

The participants were being decided in this reunion. She had no idea why she was here. That was until they said that Bahadur Kadir would be part of the high schooler team. They have heard how after he ended up in her class, he calmed down and ended up beating only 53 students. Compared to last year, on the same day, he had beaten 600 students. It was really a big difference.

And so she would supervise the high schoolers just to look after him. They needed him to overpower the other schools as they really needed to become first. They didn't forget the speech from the beginning of the year. During this reunion, Astrea was looked at with wariness but if having her could control Bahadur, the number one in high school, they would let her participate in the training. However, she would only train him and no one else.

After it ended, she was responsible to convince Bahadur to participate. The students weren't obligated to take part. But it would be in their interest to as it gives points to their report card. She arrived at her homeroom class, ready to 'convince' Bahadur.
